Do missions take too long? Are they enjoyable? I swear to god, some of these have been going on for like 8 freakin' years and that's way too long to go from paddie to Knight. If so, you all suck for not whining to me about this. I woulda fixed it right away.

However if it's fun and no prob, then um..carry on... pretend I'm not here >.>

Um...ever since everyone decided we were going to do a new timeline no one has been replying to threads. I haven't heard from Weiss nor ninjedi why they haven't been active in 'kidnapped'. Lum (I know why) and Eomega hasn't said anything. As for training padawans all mine are inactive. I'm slightly annoyed that everyone just decided to drop everything.

It is annoying, but it is equally understandable. The timeline's about to end, so it is tough to find people willing to invest their time and energy into it. It's like buying a travel ticket for a boat that's about to dock.

Yes, but is it a nice boat?

No one has ever liked doing missions from what I've seen. The best thing to do is try to build actual story lines between people. Maybe next timeline we can work on a micro-story building system to bring more users together who will work on a story that can be engaging because they're more player driven.

Tbh, I liked your system.

I myself stopped training anyone after missions were put into place. It was faster paced and often enough, I built relations with my students. I'm only looking for a quicker route considering I've already completed sets of training with my other characters.

I want to know more. Elaborate?

Essentially we trained padawans until we felt they were ready to be let go. So as the master you were responsible for covering the basis of the Jedi teachings.

Except these people have bought their ticket, boarded the boat and now are jumping off before it even docks. :/

Guys, if you didn't like my system, why didn't you just tell me? lol I can't tell if I'm doing something wrong/right without any feedback. If you don't like it, say something, and it'll change. Just make sure to do that with the future FL.

Honestly, I like the idea behind doing missions. Infact, I think there should be more. In canon, the Master/Padawan team going out on missions was the cornerstone of developing Jedi skills in astronavigation, diplomacy, mechanics, politics, combat, and an understanding of the Force and the use of it in different situations.

I know that had there been more time in the Timeline, me and Corvis had talked about keeping my Padawan training going long after the required post limit was reach, so we could keep doing missions together and make it seem like a more Canon Jedi experience.

The issue with mission writing is that you're given a choice, also they don't generally effect cannon.

If missions were ASSIGNED to those who sign up for them I feel it might work better. I try to think of how to explain how that is effective but I'm lacking in words to properly say it. Someone else may be able to explain what I'm trying to say.

I get what you mean. A sense of purpose, perhaps? I'll keep that in mind.

I posted but my character hasn't had a need to respond since my last post.

I didn't get a chance this timeline, but I hope to make a few force users in the next and look forward to doing missions. The "training" just left me uninterested. The missions seemed to be far more interesting, working with other PC's trying to accomplish a goal.
