Deva hadn’t been the first to grip the Marauder by the throat that night – through the Force or otherwise. Just as before, the Axxilan did not shy away from the tightening sensation around his jugular, but rather he seemed to thrive upon the rush that it provided. The Axxilan tilted his jawline upwards in response, eyes cast down to meet violets while a satisfied grin tugged at his lips.

For once, there was no witty response or flirtatious quip, but his expression spoke volumes. Jaikus was thoroughly enjoying the company of someone as thrill-seeking and bold as he was. Where some lesser men may have hesitated to relinquish control, Jaikus welcomed it with open arms. He allowed Deva guide him across the dancefloor like clay in her hands, giving the woman the opportunity to relish in the dominance that she so craved while keeping their bodies fit together with every step in and out.

Mid-way through their routine, as the Axxilan took a step back, he slid his hands down to her waist and gripped tightly, tendrils of the Force coiling around her and making her feel as light as a feather. Bending ever so slightly at the knees, Jaikus lifted the woman up effortlessly by the waist – rotating twice on the balls of his feet and holding her above his head before plopping her back down onto solid ground. Once the maneuver was complete, Jaikus took a moment to smooth and straightened her suit jacket to its pristine state, smirking wickedly before resuming their previous routine for several more minutes.

All good things had to come to an end, however. A silent signal meant the end of the music and the voice of their host rose to replace it, beckoned them off the dancefloor and eagerly promising the climax of the night’s festivities. In response, Jaikus spun around within the woman’s grasp, his back pressing against her hips for the several last seconds while their rhythmic swaying slowed to a stop.

The Axxilan reached back behind his shoulder, wrapping his fingers around the tie that Deva wore. “We wouldn’t want to leave our host waiting, now would we?” With that, Jaikus broke their intimately close contact and began sauntering back to where Artorigas had summoned them. He kept his grip on her tie for the first few steps before eventually releasing, playfully tugging her forward at the neck. He did not turn back to face her after that, instead following Artorigas out towards the terrace.

Asminys attempts to hide his agony were useless as his agony echoed through the force. He watched unnervingly the subdued reaction of the other Sith Lord, the faint crack forming in the glass. His icy armor pierced. What connection existed there, Asminys' mind wondered in painful confusion as he reached for an answer that remained elusive.

Then he spoke.

His words mirrored with a flash of a memory. The Jedi Grandmaster's death. Pouring rain. Arms around him. Eyes. Silver eyes.

The eyes morphed and changed in his mind, monstrous and feral before they disappeared as agony once more lanced through his mind. He remained still, but Raze had already walked away. He suffered there, standing in silence as a savage roar filled his mind.

Only to be drowned out by the sound of strings. A gentle melody flooded his mind. The sound of strings.

Darth Asminys stood still for a moment longer, eyes drooping slightly as if tired before once more opening them fully. He glanced around in a moment of hidden surprise. He did not recall this place. He itched uncomfortably. Looking down, the look of disgust on his face only grew. Why was he wearing such uncomfortable garb. Ripping the constricting jacket off, the Sith Lord left the jacket on the floor as he turned and left the party.

An uncomfortably long ride down the elevator was shared in silence with a terrified elevator boy who Asminys spent the entire ride glowering at, imagining just how he would make the wretches death as miserable as possible. Anger coursed through his veins as he puzzled over just how he had arrived at this place.

Walking off into the darkness, Asminys only stopped to kick a red skinned body, a corpse he presumed, perhaps the first casualty of whatever event he had found himself briefly at. He had much to meditate on... once his head stopped hurting.

-----

Unknown to Darth Asminys, eyes had watched his arrival and departure from within the crowded party. A woman with hair of red, and a man with a keening voice.

"It still remembers."

"Not anymore."

"It will remember again. We should just kill it.

"Patience. He will forget."

"We should kill it, before it kills us."

"Are you afraid?" The woman's lip turned in a sneer. The sneer turned to a frown as she watched the man's long black hair swish as he walked away from her. The hand crooked at her waist ceased its movements, fingers thrumming as if dancing on the strings of a harp. Green eyes grew somber as she watched the man walk away. "You should be."

She grunted softly at his words, a noncommittal shrug following. Truth be told, she had entirely forgotten about their host. The lights, the dancing, all of it had meant that Artorigas and his courtesies had slipped far from her mind. But when Jaikus tugged at her tie, she perked a black brow, then tugged on it further, allowing it to hang loosely from her neck before striding behind him, then curling an arm around his waist.

The same pressure as before, along the nape of his neck, like a warm hand. And then she released him physically, sauntering away and giving her jacket a final tug.

"No. Let's play being good guests." Though truth be told, Jaikus intrigued her. Very few would have enjoyed surrender quite as easily... perhaps this dominance would break the ice that surrounded her frigid nature?

An experiment for another time. But now she craved another hit of spice... speaking of, what happened to her new smoking companion?

Although it took time those who had attended the gathering had slowly made their way outside, the cool night air was whisked around them by a southerly breeze but luckily it was not to cold. Many had jackets both material and alcoholic to keep them warm and some even moved closer to partners they had made that very night. Artorigas took a step up onto the wall so all could see him as he made his final address. "My fellow Sith, I thank you for attending my Castle this very night. For a celebration of not only my but my compatriots accomplishments." Artorigas made the jest well knowing what had happened to Xeno earlier that night. "I would like to especially thank Lord Stolas, Lord Raze, Lady Tiamat and Queen Andruil for attending this night." The Sith Noble unaware another Sith had joined at the last.

"Now I give to you, one final gift." With that he raised his hands and behind him the sky lit up with explosions of colour as fireworks began. They would continue for some time, rainbows of colour glittering off the snowy slopes. It was a fine end to a fine evening.
