SmartSec A21 Armor

The main armor of choice used by the security tech firm SmartSecure's security personal. Designed by SmartSecure, the A21 Armor is produced by another company under a contract for SmartSec's own use and marketed under the security tech firm's brand to be sold on the market (with both entities sharing in the profits). This armor has plates that cover the chest, shoulders, groin area, knees and the elbows. The armor has decent protection against blasters. Not so much for vibroblades, being able to withstand one hit per plate due to this armor being better suited for ranged combat.. The armor does have limited shrapnel resistance to shrapnel from explosives. This armor has no protection from force users, having no lightsaber resistant material anywhere on it.

The armor does come with a helmet with a transperisteel visor which allows for maximum visibility. The helmet also comes with a built-in basic heads up display that has a mode for night vision, a comlink built in and a Auditory Frequency Modulator chip installed as well. For better protection for ranged combat, the armor does have a built-in Shield Gauntlet for additional defense against blaster weapons.

This armor, while used by SmartSecure' security wing, is also made available on the market for the general public. This armor is a bit a little bit on the pricey side for medium armor, but still affordable. This armor is made available for purchase either on SmartSecure's holonet shop or by merchants who are proud owners of a SmartSecure licence. While SmartSecure personal wear blackcolored versions of this armor, this does have many options for colors available via the holonet shop.

INTENT

Looking through the approved tech listings, I'm seeing a lot non-main faction medium armors that are better fit specialized roles like explorers, pirates, pilots, bounty hunters .etc and I'm not seeing much for 'grunt' or 'soldier' type characters. So this would give a medium armor option for those types of characters not aligned to main factions. This armor is up for public use, be it any character, whether it be by PCs or NPCs. This armor would fit well with some of the galaxy's militaries looking to get themselves well equipped. Could also easily find it's way being used by 'professional' mercenary groups. Also to be used by my character Troy Pierceson so he can have night vision (since Hapans can't see in the dark) along side of having armor protection for when the need arises.

Looks pretty good. I'd like to see the third option limited to one or the other- personally, I think the shield gauntlet is more fitting, but that's your call. We're starting to see too many armors with a "pick one" option, which I want see less of unless they are options within the same "category", ie; wrist weapons, mobility gadgets.

Fix that, and we'll call it a day.
