Greetings, Sith, Imperials, and allies!

Happy Valentine's Day! We're celebrating this holiday of love with dates, chocolate, romance... and the subjugation of Corellia. A mini-arc is taking place on Corellia called The Love For Corellia. It is a three-part series involving the Imperium stomping out dissidence on the defiant planet of Corellia, a move by the Dark Lord to solidify his rule in the Imperium, to show he means business. The arc consists of targeting a rebel cell called Solo 11, a terrorist named Echo, and taking care of the incompetent Governor-General of Corellia, Amare Valorum.

More missions have been added to the Mission Directory. New ones include The Silent, the two-part Three Day War, Seeing Double, Pulse, The Tragedy of Darth Pallas, Divoran Holochess, The Phantom Palace, and School's Out Forever. Soon to come are new bounties for both Imperium Missions and Insurgency Missions, focusing on Reckoning. For the former, targets will be escaped Reckoning prisoners. For the latter, targets will be bounty hunters hired by the Imperium to hunt down rebels.

With the success and interest in the Zodiac Missions, the Imperium has introduced a second series of training-missions, which will cover the latest imperial invasion, the Battle of Mechis III. This time there are a couple missions to allow for Imperial Armed Forces to participate. Topics focused on this time are Force Sense, Force Jump, Sith-IAF cooperation, Force Sight, Force Persuasion, telekinesis, and imperial teamwork. A brownie point to whoever notices the TV reference.

The Imperium is in the works of planning and fleshing out other events and arcs, including with the Rebellion and Cartel, to name a couple. More details to come.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Make the Force Your Own my friends,

Weiss

More newsletter stuff: add something about an activity check for the new year, also the note about populating Dark Council with NPCs for now.

Bantha/Fat Possum still need their promotion requests reviewed, but if they make the cut, add 'em to the promotions since 11/12 list.

Something about Ubiq being live 'cause I'm an attention whore.

(We talked about most of this on skype, but just in case!)

Should add something about the roster cleanup. Sandbox'd the new format, as well as the powers rework.

Greetings, Sith, Imperials, and allies!

The Battle of Naboo has been a wild ride. A congratulations to everyone who has participate in that event. As many are aware, several allies came to the aid of the Rebellion at Naboo have had pushed back the Imperium, the first major defeat for the Imperium in years. The Rebellion and its allies have demonstrated that they are a force to be reckoned with.

Congratulations also to those who participate in Series 2 and Series 3.

The Imperium, alas, has its own worries to contend to as well. As shown in Series 2, the cabal movement known as the Coterie has built up its power base. After Andraste's Wrath (And the Word Was...), the Coterie saw its opportunity to strike. Coterie leader Royston Spektor, with the shadowy help of Eris, persuaded the current Dark Council to execute a coup. However, this coup was short lived. The Dark Councilors Darth Horkos and Darth Sidhell were killed. Darth Zlogonje and Darth Lukavy had gone into hiding. The Anaxes raid, though, will not be the last we hear from them. The traitorous Dark Councilors have fled the capital, but still hold sway. To make a public declaration of dissent, the Dark Councilors with the aid of the Coterie movement have begun an attack on the symbol of the Sith that support Andraste - Korriban itself!

The invasion of Korriban will be sparking the full-blown conflict of the civil war, and will be serving as the first episode in Series 4: Dawn of War. The civil war will be starting with Series 4 and the Second Battle of Thyferra duology, though in-character there are other cabal attacks going on, such as the Battle of Roche and the secession of Saleucami. Episode 1 (The Invasion of Korriban) of Series 4 will be an [OPEN] thread, to allow anyone to participate. The thread will serve somewhat like And the Word Was... in which members can show their reaction to the arrival of the Konstantine Fleet and fleeing the planet. Like with other Series, it's requested that writers only participate in one episode of a series (unless another episode does not have the participants). Episode 1, though, will not count against this general consideration during sign-ups. Unlike the previous Series, Series 4 is geared more towards Imperium loyalists. The Attack on Yavin IV is to give an opportunity for some PvP action (since Series 4 doesn't have any available). The duel is designed to be more low-key, so that participants may focus on getting experience with PvP. While Series 4 and the Second Battle of Thyferra are largely pre-determined, the Attack on Yavin IV's outcome depends on the duel between Sith and Coterie.

Duel on Yavin IVThe Coterie has sent an agent to Yavin IV in order to detonate a plasma bomb at the Yavin IV temple in hopes of crippling a sect of the Sith Order. Aided by an Ubiqtorate-styled cover identity, the agent has landed on the planet and plans to planet the bomb under the Great Temple using one of the catacombs accessible at the Grey Temple. However, a Sith student on the planet has sensed the infiltrator and plans to stop the infiltrator. If the Sith student fails to stop the infiltrator, Korriban won't be the only temple lost to the loyalists. 1v1 player-versus-player; acolyte-level preferred. Plasma bomb cannot be used during duel.

Talizabeth's LegacyWhen Thyferra was under Hutt control, the planet held few defenses. After invading the planet, Talizabeth Scryer set up multiple defense systems and bases on the planet before she left. One such base was named after her. The Talizabeth Scryer Base, it serves as one of the primary garrisons on the planet. The Coterie struck the Talizabeth Scryer Base first, laying siege on the base. The garrison has been unable to aid in the Second Battle of Thyferra, surrounded. It is up to a brave member of the Imperium to break through the net to allow the garrison to reinforce its comrades and turn the tide of the battle. Imperium loyalists.
LifelineThe Coterie made a move against Thyferra, hoping to secure the Bacta, and subsequently apply pressure on Andraste's sovereignty. However, Admiral Dyartes' 6th Fleet has shown to be more prepared than once thought. With the defeat at the Talizabeth Scryer Base, the Coterie has chosen to flee, though not empty handed. In a final maneuver, several Coterie agents have infiltrated a Bacta holding facility and are fighting their way to a frigate to sail into the sunset with the latest batch of Bacta. Coterie.

Episode 1
Invasion of Korriban
In hundreds of years, no force has ever dared to attack Korriban. The empire abandoned it before Darth Aevum's rise. The Jedi never attacked it. The rebels never sought it. However, that is about to change. Deserter Konstantine Arkydavich and his makeshift fleet of fellow deserters and dissidents have arrived at Korriban. Aided by military codes supplied by Darth Zlogonje, the Konstantine Fleet has overwhelmed the planet's defenses. As a quarantine begins to form, Sith stuck on the ground must quickly escape the planet while they still can.

Prologue. Open to any member of the Imperium.
Episode 2
Mission to Serenno
Several ships managed to escape Korriban before the Konstantine Fleet laid siege on the planet. One of those exodus ships was a freighter called the Fantasea, which has sought refuge on Serenno, headquarters to the Commerce Fleet's operations in the quadrant. While recovering at the Commerce Fleet base, a couple of the Sith refugees have senses something wrong with Count Malvern, who co. leads the Commerce Fleet in the quadrant alongside Count-Dowager Andarta. It is up to the two Sith to uncover evidence of wrongdoing, eventually discovering that Count Melvarn has been communicating with Sith Lord Krath to overthrow Andarta. Evidence of wrongdoing, through retrieval of holocommunications between Krath and Malvern, will allow Andarta to remove Malvern from power.

Imperium loyalists-oriented.
Episode 3
Battle of Ord Radama
Upon the declaration of war by the Coterie movement, several planets declared loyalty to this cabal. One of the planets was Ord Radama, under the command of the Devlikk Governor-General Freido. Loyal forces on the planet suddenly found themselves surrounded by hostiles. Seeing the futility in resisting, Major Crarda'opuza'uose has ordered the loyal forces to flee the planet. However, Freido's forces are attempting to stop the Rarda forces from escaping. Coordination from the ground has been the key to this blockade. Two operatives have been sent to infiltrate the Livien Magnus garrison in order to spy on the communications, messages that could pin point weak spots in the net. However, these agents will get more than they bargained for when they intercept a message that a contingent of the Konstantine Fleet is on its way to attack Serenno, a move which if succeeds, could cripple resupplying efforts in the quadrant.

Imperium loyalists-oriented. Optional potential for teaching stealth techniques.
Episode 4
Battle of Serenno
Four Hyperion-class Star Destroyers, supported by by the Dagger-class frigate Devlikk supplied by Ord Radama, appeared in the Serenno system hoping to surprise and overwhelm the Commerce Fleet's base on Serenno, to cripple the loyalists coordination of resupplying efforts in the quadrant. However, thanks to the brave work of infiltrators on Ord Radama, Serenno was forewarned of the arrival of Battlegroup Statera. But the Commerce Fleet will not win easily. Commanding the Hyperion-class Star Destroyer Statera is the infamous imperial deserter, former High Marshall Konstantine Arkadyvich. It will be up to the brave men and women of the imperial armed forces stationed on the planet and the Sith refugees, aided by the survivors of the Battle of Ord Radama, to fight side by side and push back the Coterie invaders led by Konstantine and Lord Krath.

Imperium loyalists-oriented.

In Series 4, Sith will be given precedent over IAF in Episode 2 while IAF will be given precident over Sith in Episode 4. It is a lot, I know, but the imperial leadership has decided to start off the full-blown civil war with a bang.

If you are interested in possibly joining the Coterie, please PM Dmitri. Applications will be reviewed, but not all may be accepted. When considering applying, please consider if the character would realistically choose to join the Coterie. Indie members and members of other factions may apply to join/aid the Coterie movement, though dual membership rules still apply. Non-Imperium members may sign-up for Coterie-oriented missions/episodes/PvP/etc., though Imperium-members of the Coterie may be given priority. If applying for the Coterie, please supply the following information:

  • Character Name:
  • Current Rank & Affiliation:
  • Reason for Joining: (why would this character want to join the Coterie?)

The Coterie movement is not the only changing going on in the Imperium. As previously mentioned, most of the Dark Council is gone. Bee, through Darth Umbra (the alter ego of Eris), is the only Dark Councilor that remains in the council. We would also like to welcome back Kiro who will be rejoining the Dark Council! Her character, Raide Vakri, will be serving as the new Grand Vizier. To clarify some points, "Darth Umbra" is the codename of sorts of the Spymaster, regardless of who the Spymaster is; a few Spymasters like Royston Spektor (Darth Tarak) choose to don a different name. This codename allows the Spymaster to hide his or her identity, and hide when the Spymaster is changed. As such, the facts that Raide Vakri was once Darth Umbra and Eris is the current Darth Umbra are not public knowledge. Raide Vakri will be donning a new Darth name, which will be unveiled soon.

There are three new faces that are joining the Dark Council. Give a round of applause to Silverface's Rufus Scryer, Clayton's Rookwrr, and Pureblood-Sin's Sin'ryk Nalessh who will be joining the Dark Council as Warmaster, High Judge, and High Arcanist, respectively. Rufus Scryer is the first person to join the Dark Council without being a Sith, a testament to his ability in the military. This maneuver will be placing more authority in the military in the hands of the imperial armed forces, which members of the faction can respond to how they wish.

If there any questions about the Coterie and the civil war, please post them here or PM us privately if you wish to remain anonymous (we'll answer the questions in this thread, though leave the inquirer's name out of it). The Coterie movement, in its simplest form, is a cabal movement originally constructed by Royston Spektor. During the early days of the Coterie, it strove simply to remove the empress from power. However, as it grew, it began to grow in ambition, to claim the throne for itself. Leading that initiative are the former Dark Councilors, Darths Zlogonje and Lukavy. The Coterie movement is the first cabal to rise and make a move for power, and it won't be the last.

With Raif, the writer of Royston Spektor, being busy in real life, Royston Spektor will be remaining as a figurehead for the Coterie movement. For now, the Coterie movement's management and organization will be led by none other than our very own Bee! Bee's character Eris is the former apprentice of Royston Spektor. Though she had pretended to remain loyal to the empress, as shown in the Duel on Coruscant, she has grown disillusioned with the Sith Order, after having to kill her own husband during the Hapan Campaign in Series 2. Orchestrating behind the shadows, she is one of the true leaders behind the Coterie movement, her status as the current Spymaster allowing her to hide her involvement.

The civil war is not the only conflict going on. As the Battle of Naboo ends, the Galactic Rebellion (now headed by Kyzer) will become more active in its resistance against the empire. Already events and battles are being planned out for the future. Keep an eye out for them. Right now though we have two battles on our hands. The enigmatic Bogan have amassed a fleet and are attacking two of our shipyards, at Fondor and Bestine. The Battle of Fondor's participants have already been selected and are currently in the process of confirmation of participation. The Battle of Bestine is still needing participants from the Imperium's side, so if you're interested in participating, please let me or Boli know (or post in this thread).

A couple people have asked about this, so I thought I'd address it. A question that has arisen is whether I will be stepping down as faction leader now that I am an admin. The answer is no. I will remain faction leader of the Imperium, to continue to serve the members of this faction in that capacity to the fullest of my abilities.

On the topic of admins, a couple weeks ago the administrative team started an Admin Feedback. If you haven't already, I would recommend filling out the feedback threads, found here. Feedback is very useful to the administrative team. Positive and negative feedback are always beneficial, as it allows the administrative team to see where they are doing well in and areas they can improve on. The Imperium leadership is also interested in receiving feedback. Either by posting in this thread or PMing me, please supply the following information:

  • Level of site-wide activity and faction-oriented activity
  • Level of RP activity
  • Individual performance
  • Effectiveness as a team
  • Member relations (i.e. do you feel the FL/AFLs are accessible, fun, nice, etc.)
  • Overall performance

This thread serves the multiples roles of response to the newsletter's information, general discussion, Q&A (about the Coterie, civil war, or anything), feedback submissions, or sign-ups for events or battles. If you are signing up for an event or battle, please fill out the following format:

  • Event/Battle Name:
  • Character Name:
  • Character's Rank:
  • Reason for Signing-up: (This is largely looking at IC reasons, though OOC reasons can be considered. This category allows the Imperium leadership to see what sort of story potential can be spawned from a character's participation in a particular thread, largely looking at the personal story impact it would have on a character. Such factors help determine who will be selected, though is not the only factor looked at)

New missions are available. They can be found here. A few have the label "Building An Army" and "Imperial Might". "Building An Army" missions can only be performed by the Coterie. "Imperial Might" missions can only be performed by loyalists.

Also, due to the Siege of Korriban, the temple on Korriban will be closed to non-Coterie Sith. Future missions will take place there. Current training threads on Korriban may continue to post, and there will be no interruption or hastening for those threads. Anyone is free to have their thread end with the Konstantine Fleet arriving, or to end long before the Invasion of Korriban.

Lastly, there is an IAF Roll Call that can be found here, to help obtain a clearer view on who is still active. The IAF will become more active soon, and a more precise roster will allow us to plan accordingly. Also, if there is any error in the roster, such as your character not on the roster or the name incorrect, please notify the Imperium leadership in the thread found here. Thank you.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Own your future,

Weiss

I'm not done. The bottom half of Series 4's box and everything below it has not had any changes/edits done yet.

Greetings, Sith, Imperials, and allies!

We are ending this timeline with a bang! A lot of battles have been occurring and there are more to come. Most recently there was the Battle of Manaan, an imperial operation to finally defeat the Manaan Alliance once and for all. However, the battle did not go as the Imperium expected. The battle was lost, with the rebels winning at the underwater shipyards and Ahto City. Recently, a new battlefield has been added to the Battle of Manaan, an epic confrontation between Darth Skarda and the former leader of Defiance Squadron, Kara Vaalki.

The Imperium has suffered several blows in the last few months. Korriban was conquered. The Dark Council attempted to seize power. The Coterie waged a civil war, attacking Serenno, Ord Radama, and Yavin IV. The Rebellion announced itself to the galaxy by defeating the Imperium at the Battle of Naboo. The last of the Dark Council, Eris, betrayed the Imperium, whose defection led to the devastation of Ubiqtorate and the destruction of the Imperial Palace on Coruscant. But in the defeat we shall become stronger, and take the fight to the Rebellion.

The Bogan attacked the Imperium at Fondor. Though the Bogan failed in their objective to conquer the massive shipyards, the First Battle of Fondor left the shipyards weakened. Sensing an exploitable weakness, the Rebellion has begun an invasion of Fondor during the Second Battle of Fondor. The rebels have also begun the Battle of Bestine. Good luck to all active participants!

The Dark Council was weakened during the Imperial Civil War, with the Councilors betraying the empire for their selfish desires. A new provisional Dark Council was erected, consisting of Sin'ryk Nalessh, Rookwrr, and Raide Vakri. Please join me in welcoming the newest members of the Dark Council: Warmaster Audroti, High Executioner Satoryu, and High Inquisitor Ebberla Daw! Great things will come with their help and dedication. Among the new councilors is the former Jedi Grandmaster. A few months ago, she was dishonored and disgraced by the Jedi Order, a scapegoat for their sins. She has come to the Sith Order in order to have her revenge against those who forsake her, abandoning her. Showing her commitment by betraying the Wardens, a secretive Jedi sect with ties to the Jedi, she has been given the power to destroy the very Jedi Order who she led through the flames and discarded her. Audroti and Satoryu have been active members of the Sith for many years, who began their journey before the time skip. Their journey has finally led them to the pinnacle of Sith power as Dark Councilors, who have been rechristened as Darth Kova and Darth Ryuu, respectively. Again, congratulations and welcome, to all of you. We expect great things from you.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them here or message me.

Seize the Force as your own,

Dmitri
