"He must have some really good meat to wear that around," Param said with a giggle. She wasn't going to pry into who this Flexo was. The fact that he was massive compared to Kodi, and that he cooked enough to have an apron was details enough for her. A mental image of a massive, buff dude in an apron and chef's hat handling normal cooking utensils that looked tiny in their hands appeared next to the scrawny-in-comparison Kodi, and the contrast made Param giggle even more.

She watched him work his magic, eyeing up all of the food as it cooked and waited to be cooked. It all looked so good already, she was regretting eating the first piece he'd tossed to her so fast. Between the after taste of the home cooked meat and the smell coming from the grill, it was everything Param could do not the drool.

Param too the energy drink, and placed it next to her bowl. Between the mess all over the floor and the feeding of pizza to a plant, Param wasn't the least bit surprised canned beverages were the house favorite. She was curious as to how it tasted, though. The drink would wait until she needed it, though; she dug into the stir fry, hungrily slurping up the noodles. It was spicy, and delicious, and had all the flavors she couldn't name but loved.

"Sh'deshish," she moaned around a combination of noodles and meat, trying to tell him it was delicious. When the burning of the spice got just hot enough to start tingling the back of her throat, she stopped eating for a moment. Her eyes lifted to Kodi. "Could have been a little hotter," she said, wiping her face with what she hoped was a clean towel; she doubted they had any napkins. "I've been building a tolerance since crying through my nose, I'll have you know. It's only happened two other times."

Kai moved over the bowl with extra curry sauce in it, “Pour on as much as you can handle,” He said with a grin. His own bowl was completely red with the sauce since he liked his fire. He chugged his soda and finished his food in a matter of seconds, feeling thoroughly satisfied after a nice meal, “I don’t remember the last time I bothered making food..” He mused aloud, thinking for a moment. Kai knew how to make several dishes, but he almost never bothered.

The Fiani started putting the dishes away, still whistling to himself. He removed the apron at last and glanced back at Param. Kai pondered for a moment and had a crazy idea, “Do you know what a video game is?” He asked. Of course she didn’t, she knew about very few things in the real world. However, he felt giddy at the prospect of introducing it. Without a word, Kai gestured for her to join him in the crew hangout area. There was a Holoscreen and some video game consoles.

Kai plopped down on the beanbag sofa and gestured for Param to do the same. Of course, he had to brush off the bits of chips and move the empty pizza boxes first. Kai gave her a controller and switched on the console, a theme song erupting about a shooting game.

“This is AMS Attack 5,” He explained, “We’re on a team killing infected zombies,” He said as the character selection screen came up. She would see that his avatar was a hot woman with big boobs. Kai simply shrugged, “Helps me get free items in multiplayer..” He muttered before he selected his character.

Once the game started, they both had blasters to mow down zombies that launched themselves at the screen. Kai hoped Param at least had seen infected movies or media before, or this was about to terrify her…

Param took the extra curry sauce and smothered the rest of her food in it, passing the bowl back to Kodi. She dug in again, the extra spice really doing it for her. At the start, anyway. By the time she finished the bowl her mouth was on fire, her cheeks flushed a shade of red that would put her lightsaber to shame. She quickly opened the energy drink and chugged it, soothing her burning tongue without realizing that she was not hyping herself up on sugar and caffeine she'd never had before. Putting the empty can down, she let out a contented sigh.

She tilted her head as he asked her about video games. "Video... game?" Seemed it didn't matter if she knew or not, he was going to show her! She followed him, waited for him to clear off a space for her and sat down. The controller he handed her had grease stains on it, which she promptly wiped on her sweatpants. One she was able to actually feel the controller without having chip grease on it, it felt good, and she tested out reaching all the buttons, but had no idea what any of them did.

Her brow raised at the big boobed woman. Param looked down at her own chest. She had no hope of comparing with the woman, and she knew and was perfectly okay with that, but damn. Maybe he wasn't checking her out in the selfie she showed earlier? Param scrolled the available characters, choosing the cutest one of course, which was an Ewok.

"So what do I-" She wasn't even able to finish asking about the controls before the first zombie launched itself at them. Letting out an instinctive, quick shriek, and mashing all the buttons at once, she managed to to shoot it before it got to her. It was only the first one though, so Param started mashing buttons again, her character spinning around and shooting wildly, but some how surviving. "Kodi, I don't know the controls!" An infected that Param missed launched itself at the screen, causing Param to yelp and bury her face behind Kodi's shoulder.

Kai wanted to see what she would do with no context and it played out just as beautifully as he expected. She started mashing buttons, firing weapons all over the place and sending the game camera spiraling out of control. The Fiani started laughing at the screen as he kept playing, feeling her bury her face behind his shoulder, “Exactly what your’re doing! Mash some buttons!” He exclaimed as he lined up a shot with his scope and headshotted a zombie that was in the process of trying to eat her character.

“Trust in the Force,” He said in that deep, mocking voice again, “Search your feelings and let them guide you!” He couldn’t keep a straight face, snickering halfway through as he kept dropping the infected. This was definitely one area where the Force meant squat.

If they survived, the two would venture into a dark, spooky house with no light. It suddenly became a horror movie scene and it was eerily quiet. Every now and then they could hear footsteps in the distance but not where it was from, “You have to walk quietly here, so don’t start running around,” He explained, a very focused and determined look on his face as he crouched down and started to crawl through a tunnel.

Param emerged from behind Kodi's shoulder, hoping that remnants of chips and pizza weren't stuck in her hair or face. She continued to mash the buttons, but during times Kodi had wiped the wave out she pressed each button individually to see what they would do. When the next wave came she was ready, gunning down zombies left and right. She wasn't nearly as good as Kodi, but no zombie go close enough to lunge at the screen again.

She gave Kodi a grumpy, yet playful growl at his Force comments. He was loving every minute of this. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't too.

Luckily, her testing with the controls came in handy. She had her character moving slowly behind Kodi's, trying to spin around to see all the little corners and shadows. She turned on the in game flashlight toward an open door to their side, only for large, kathhound like zombie to leap out and pin her character to the ground. Her in game character of course made distressed Ewok noises, Param however had yelped, practically jumping out of her own skin. A panicked string of "what do I do!?"'s filled the room as she mashed buttons until finally the kathhound zombie was pushed off. Param put half a charge pack into the thing, scowling at the screen.

"That'll teach you."

Kai nodded in approval as Param quickly picked up the mechanics. Half the fun of video games was bullshitting your way through it. However, she would notice he was exceptionally good at it with his aiming and strategic shooting. He picked them off one by one, always landing a headshot, “You’re getting better,” He noted as he picked off yet another zombie that was trying to eat the ewok.

“Okay now RUN!” He said suddenly, his eyes on the screen. Param wasn’t moving fast enough so he reached over without looking, putting his hand over hers to shove the joystick to the furthest tilt, “Press down to run faster!” Kai’s character zigzagged to make a getaway. He withdrew his hand away only to break in through the door. Once Param was inside, the door closed behind them.

“YES!” He cheered with a grin, “We made it!” He said as he looked at her. He raised his hand for a high five and caught her vacantly staring.

“Okay this is called a high five, you do it when you succeed at something,” With that, Kai gently grasped her wrist, lifted her hand, and smacked her palm against his own. He had a fanged smile on his face the entire time.

"It isn't so hard once you get the hang of it," she, a small smile barely passing through the wall of concentration she had on the screen. His sudden outburst for her to run made her jump, not just in the beanbag chair but in the game as well, but he reached over and helped her. Half way to the safehouse, Param had stopped looking at the screen, her eyes focused on the hand that covered hers. Luckily she caught herself before they made to the end, and excitedly kept the thumbstick all the way forward to keep the momentum.

The excitement Kodi showed from completing the level was heart melting, even if she was confused by his raised hand. Was he... trying to fight? She wasn't prepared for him to grab her wrist and use it to smack her palm against his. She'd had her fair share of victory jumps, and victory dances, but celebrating with someone else was almost never an option. "A high five? Does that mean there's also a low five?" she asked, working out the rhetoric. She giggled, letting the thought escape.

She leaned over, resting her head on his shoulder. "So, next level? I should have time for one more." Param didn't know what time it was, but she knew she couldn't stay on Kodi's ship forever, despite the fluttering things in her stomach screaming for her to try.

There was something oddly endearing about everything being so new to her. It brought him a sort of excitement to rediscover simple things again. He smirked at her question, “That’s right,” He laid his palm out low, “Down low!” He called out. When she went to slap it, he moved his hand out of the way and ran his fingers through his hair, “Too slow!” Kai said with an amused grin, enjoying something he hadn’t done since he was a child.

Kai blinked for a moment when she rested her head on his shoulder. He didn’t know what to make of it, but he didn’t move away either. Instead, he eased into the beanbag seat, placing his feet on the table in front of them. His tail managed to casually drape down next to Param, seemingly acting of its own accord to curl against her. Kai pretended not to notice of course. His gaze flicked over to the pack of smokes on the table. He had a wild urge to smoke, but he didn’t feel like moving. For now, he resisted and simply booted up the next level of the game.

This one was even tougher and they were in a creepy hospital. There were streaks of blood and gore on the walls and old, rusty gurneys left everywhere.

“Okay, this one has extra sneaking,” Kai explained, “You have to use this button to crouch and it’s better to use melee weapons like a club or machete instead of blasters. Loud noises will bring them all at once and we don’t have many places to hide here,” He said as they started the level.

Wow, he was actually letting her rest her head on his shoulder, and he didn't even flinch. She smiled, watching the tail curl up next to her. It was everything she could ever have asked of Kodi. This was the most normal night she had in a long time, and yet she had already accepted that she wasn't. She's have her time to shake her fist at the sky later.

She could sense his urges. They weren't exactly hidden; they were out in the open ready to read, just like every article of clothing Kodi had ever worn apparently. Her silver eyes turned to the smokes on the table, the lighter laying next to them. Before they started a new level, she reached up with her hand, gently lifting the smokes and lighter, moving it toward Kodi and dropping them in his lap. Param gave him a warm smile. "The Force has it's perks," she said, giving a thinking face as she remembered the last time she tried to use it with him. "When it works."

Param nodded at Kodi's instructions, putting both hands on the controller to get ready. She moved her character behind his, using the sneaking method he had shown her, and got out her character's melee weapon. A giggle erupted out of her as her tiny Ewok character pulled out a giant club twice the size of it. A zombie stumbled out in front of her, and she bonked it with the oversized club to take it down quietly.

His ears initially flattened, and he tensed slightly next to her at the display of Force use. However, he relaxed soon after when he saw what she intended. This time he didn’t shy away from it, glancing down at the smokes and lighter, “Was I that obvious?” He asked with a grin as he drew one out and lit it, “I’d be very lazy if I had the Force,” Kai remarked. He couldn’t imagine ever getting up from his seat when he could just float everything over or maybe use lightning to roast meats and cook. Sith did use the Force for rudimentary everyday things, right? Or was it all rawr rawr all the time?

Kai looked over at the ewok with the giant club and he chuckled at the sight, “I knew you’d be better with melee,” He said with a sagely nod as they continued. The cigarra dangled from the corner of his lips as he snuck through the hospital, picking the lock to get to the next room. He began to put things together for a molotov cocktail, “When I throw this, we’re running to the third floor. Don’t look back. 3…2…1” And he chucked the bottle. The explosion was massive, zombies screaming and rushing all over the place.

The Fiani’s big boobied character bounced and jiggled her way at top speed to the next level with the little ewok in tow. Kai bolted up the stairs, using his blaster to pick off any zombies chasing them. Once Param was through the door, he hopped in and closed the door behind them. He started laughing as he took a drag, leaning back in his seat, “Man what a rush!” He turned to look at her, “So, what do you think of video games?”

Very lazy if he had the Force. Param almost wanted to bring up the way the ship looked. Maybe having the Force would have him putting away dirty clothes! She left it alone, though. Bonking another zombie with her giant club, Param giggled and complimented her melee. "Yeah, who knew?" She imagined carrying the club for real, but it was far too unwieldly. Her little ewok was an absolute champ with it though.

Param was ready for the running. The moment Kodi threw the molotov and the explosion took up the screen, Param had her character running full tilt after Kodi. A laugh bubbled out of Param at the way his character ran and the physics involved. Someone actually took the time to put that into a game!?

"They're great!" Param said, smiling up on him. "The sneaking parts were kind of scary until I realized you only needed to press one button a bunch of times to get the hounds off." She wasn't quite ready to leave his arm yet. She couldn't stay though. The garden needed droids to attend to it when she wasn't there, and she wanted to get those droids before Master Thel figured out just how much money of his she had spent. His stern look of disapproval and silence already playing in her head.

Lifting herself from her arm, she place a gentle kiss on his cheek before getting up from the bean bag sofa entirely. She stretched upwards, even getting on her tip-toes for full effect. The bean bag sofa was comfortable, but the posture on it was terrible. "We should do this again sometime." Param turned to him and smiled. "But I should get going. I still have to pick up some droids." She paused for a moment, her smile warming as her eyes met his. "Thanks, Kodi."

Kai was genuinely surprised at how much fun he had just plain hanging out. He was always scheming for a job or sitting here by himself blitzed and gaming. Her little giggles were infectious, and he found himself smiling more than he cared to admit. His ears swiveled when she kissed his cheek, a tinge of red touching his face. He cleared his throat and also rose to stand, putting out the cigarra.

“Yeah, this was fun,” He managed a faint smile, “You’re pretty all right, Param,” He admitted with a grin, his tail swishing in contentment. Kai gestured to walk her out of his ship, letting her get back to what she was doing. Before they parted ways, he ran his fingers through his hair, “Hey uh..” He began, looking at her from the ramp of his ship like he had the last time before their fair disaster, “Can I get your HoloChat maybe?” Kai asked after her.

Param let him walk her to the ramp of his ship, getting half way down before he asked for her number. She smiled without a word, fishing her EZPhone from her pocket. A couple of quick button presses and swipes took her to her HoloChat profile, and a swipe up with the phone pointed at Kodi would send that profile to his. She slid the phone back into her pocket. Then her face lit up like she remembered something, but softened into a smile.

"And keep the box of seeds too," she said. He had probably forgotten about her box too, but he'd see it when taking care of his creepervines. She didn't necessarily need any of the seeds in the box, and she could always order them again. "I expect updates on the creepervines." Param gave him a final wave and descended the rest of the ramp, throwing her hood back over her silver hair and disappearing into the crowds of Nar Shaddaa.
