About Shafiq
However it wasn't until he had his first encounter with a Force Sensitive that he realised that, no matter how hard he trained or how much he studied, there would always be someone out there who could lift rocks nothing but their sheer force of will. He grew intensely envious and began doing research into The Force and it's workings. He was devastated to learn that tapping into the force was mostly impossible unless you were born with the ability to do so but he refused to let such arbitrary restrictions stop him from trying.
It was these studies that sparked Shafiq's fascination with the Occult and the Arcane and ways that it could be used to improve himself and he set out at the age of 22 to begin exploring and looking for Occult artifacts, forbidden knowledge and creatures with abilties beyond most people's understanding.
After two years of travelling mostly solo, with little-to-no success, he sought out like-minded individuals and eventually decided to join the Tattooine Chapter of the AHA in the hopes that their work would help him gain a better understanding of the Universe and the Force and help him to get his paws on some arcane items himself.
Skills
Archery - Energy Bows were fairly common on Shafiq's homeworld and he learned how to use one of them before he learned how to use a blaster. He's not running about splitting arrows or shooting apples off heads but his profiency with an Energy Bow is definitely well above average. He is even capable of using it as a make-shift melee weapon if he had too - although he'd much rather use his Claws. His skill with an energy bow is transferable to a regular non-plasma bow and arrow.
Intelligence - Ultimately, Shafiq is a scholar before he is a fighter. He is knowledgeable on topics such as History and Culture and will ususally try to research the culture, practices and enviroment of an area or planet he is travelling to. He has an excellent memory and an avid learner. He absorbs practically everything he reads or sees and anything he doesn't think he can remember he will make an effort to write down
Zygerrian Biology - Shafiq is naturally very agile, an adept climber and comes equipped with a set of beyon razor-sharp retractable claws on each of his fingers.
AHA Serum - As part of the process of joining the Arcane Hunter's Association, Shafiq had to inject himself with a strange serum. This serum gives him resistance to mental invasion by force-sensitive creatures, as well as the ability to sense and track non-sentient force creatures.
