Alaris Prime, Kashyyyk System, Mytaranor sector

Night had fallen over the moon of Alaris Prime. Insects buzzed and birds chirped in the now shadowed trees the rushing water from the many rivers. It had been many hours since Eisa Wex and Roland had rescued Chant Sindhu and her astromech Ness. Now Chant laid in a bed unconscious with Ness close at hand, monitoring her vitals.

The little droid had not left her pilot’s side since the latter’s collapse. Laying on her back, the Mon Calamari softly breathed as she slept there. A bandage was now patched on the side of her head, due to the terrible cut she sustained from the earlier crash. Ness utters a string of beeps that would almost sound like concern to Eisa or Roland if they are present there.

The astromech had already revealed who Chant is and why they were doing in the system to the two rescuers shortly after the pilot’s forced slumber began. Little did any of them realized there others nearby in the jungle, silently watching and waiting for their opportunity...

While the Mon Calamari was out, Roland checked the escape pod they had rescued. The benefit to cockpit based escape pods was they could still fill in some gaps while they waited for the woman to recover. The Lieutenant saw the limited logs and files which could be used to extrapolate past movements. But nothing in particular stood out. It seemed like the Mon Calamari was, or rather, had been a humble courier pilot. The astromech, Ness, confirmed this as well though Roland wasn't the type to give droids give droids the benefit of the doubt in a case like this.

Roland did not have his ship with him and had instead come to the system by a colorful redhead. But things had become side tracked. Coming into the compartment onboard the Rimhopper he saw the prone form of the Mon Calamari. Behind his visor his eyes looked at the astromech. But the Mandalorian directed his attention towards Eisa when spoke. "We shouldn't stay out in the open. If there's more, they'll come here and find us." The wreckage from the destroyed starfighters and the courier as well as the escape pod sitting out in the open all were glaring signs pointing towards their position.

Resting with her back against the arm rest of her seat, her legs perched up against the head rest. the fiery haired spacer's gaze staring out towards the night sky above them through the view port of her ship. Periodically her attention would move away from star gazing, over towards the unconscious pilot that was laid out on the benches at the rear of the compartment -it was the awkward waiting game that was taking place. Although the Mon Calamari had been rescued, she and her droid certainly had been banged up during their ordeal. Something that for the best part between herself and the Mandalorian Sector Ranger had done all they could to treat the stranger's injuries, it was just down to the will of the Force, and more precisely the effectiveness of the Bacta to do it's job.

Eisa's attention shifted away from the stars as the heavy footfall of boots against metallic decks grew closer, her head and gaze moving towards the bulkhead frame as the Sector ranger approached, and spoke his piece about them being at risk being sat out in the open. A light frown furrowed on her brow as she nodded in agreement with the tactical view point, before sighing slightly in resignation. "I thought the same thing" she offered before nodding in the direction of the droid that was vehemently standing beside it's unconscious owner. "But whenever I tried powering up the ships engines, that little astromech would go into meltdown. Beeping on and on about not abandoning the Wookie's cargo" she added with a slight roll of her head, at the monotonous tone of the droid's protest, it was like a fire alarm.

Part of her made her wish that what ever droid she would find as a crew mate would possess a quirky attitude, having a droid that actively back chatted and had the same level of excitability as the fiery haired spacer certainly would make the long endless weeks of hyperspace jumps far more interesting than a droid that was programmed to be in a permanent state of compliance and obedience.

"I'm guessing that what ever Sleeping Beauty over there was carrying for the Wookiees, might be of more importance than a few crates of Wasaka berries" Eisa spoke out airing her suspicions over the situation that they had dropped in on. "Raiders don't usually throw four interceptors after just one unarmed courier, do they?" She questioned before gesturing a thumb over her shoulder and pointed out of the window in the direction of where the wreckage of the Mon'Calamari's ship had crashed down into the river.
