Shade Training (Sol Kavos)

[Imperator]

"Not quite. You must not have it swirl around the object. Instead you must focus the force around the object holding it tightly in your grasp with the force. Then move the rock by controlling the force around. In this case you must bring the force to the rock and then push up from the bottom while maintaining stability with the force along the sides of it."

 

[T.J]

" O ok." Sol said with an adsent look on his face. He turned his attention back to the swirling force around the rock, making it tighten slowly around it until it was completely engulfed. He lifted up with his mind and tryed to keep the balace on the top. The rock was wobbling when it rose, but got several feet into the air none the less. When he thought he had it down, the rock suddenly sagged to the right, he tried to compensate but instead made it shoot into the forest. " aw crap..." he said as he looked after the rock to see if he could find it. Unable to he stared looking around for other things to lift.

 

[Imperator]

"You had it for a little bit. However, remember that in order to compensate you must not always add more force to one side sometimes it heles to use less force on one side. Also it may help to start with a smaller rock as you can use smaller forces to move it then."

 

[T.J]

" Ah, well then Ill do that." Sol said as he picked up a fist sized rock. He tossed it a few yards away before repeating the same steps as before. The rock floated off the ground to about head level, he was able to keep it steady this time. He kept it in mid-air as he looked over to Natalia, "Hows that?"

 

[Imperator]

"You are still progressing nicely but you do not yet have a good grasp of this ability. Now you must be able to move that rock around in any direction. That means you must maintain control of it while pushing it in the dirction you want it to go."

 

[T.J]

Sol was slightly worried about the next set instructions, he was having enough trouble keeping the rock floating. He pushed the thoughts out of his mind as he tried to focus. At first it was slow, the movement was so small that most people wouldnt be able to see it. He started picking up speed as he gained confidence, but lost it and sent it shooting through the tree line again. He cursed under his breath as he picked up another rock.

 

[Imperator]

Natalia looked at Sol for a moment. "Sol, you should know what your greatest weakness is. It is your confidence, you lack it. Some people are overconfident, but you are underconfident. Stop trying to do something and not believe in yourself. Instead you must know that you can succeed, know that you will succeed, and then succeed. A jedi saying that I have always liked is do or do not, there is no try. Now then, do."

 

[T.J]

" Ill see what I can do" Sol said as he set his new rock on the ground and taking a few steps away from it before making it lift up off the ground again. ' Ok....confidence......confidence!' he thought to himself as he tried to move the stone through the air again. He almost lost it again, but was able to conpensate without sending it flying away. He tried again, this time making it move through the air to the left several feet before loosing it to gravity, he was able to catch it before it hit the ground though. " Its a start right?" He said with a slight grin on his face.

 

[Imperator]

Natalia nodded at Sol. "It is a start, but you are still trying. Now I need you to do it again. Only this time stop trying to do it and just do it. I cannot allow you to progress further and learn strong forces powers or force powers connected to either side of the force until you can master your own mindset."

 

[T.J]

Sol's mind was screaming to him that he couldnt possibly master something in such a short time, his thoughts bent towards failure and dissapointment. They made him start to loose faith in himself as he held the rock in mid-air. His thoughts went to that fateful day at the jedi academy, the scream of his opponent filled his ears once more. But instead of pushing him deeper into thoughts of failure, they drove him forward for some strange reason. They showed something he wanted to be able to do, control his force powers so he could prevent something like that from happening. He looked straight at the rock as it floated and moved it left then right, not really knowing how he was able to compensate correctly but doing it anyway.

 

[Imperator]

Natalia nodded, this time he had not wavered and had just done what he needed to do. "Good you have that down enough to progress on your own." She then noticed the fact that the sun was well past it's noon. "I believe that we have completed enough for now. We will stop for a meal now and resume shortly afterwards."

 

[T.J]

As if a switch had been flipped, Sol let the rock drop and turned to face Natalia. He felt suddenly relized his own hunger from a tremor that came from it. " So uhh, what is there to eat?"

 

[Imperator]

"Well we can either eat whatever you brought along to eat, or the other option is to go hunting for something fresh. I will leave it up to you to choose."

 

[T.J]

Sol pondered the choices for a moment, " Well if we eat the food i brought we can use the time that would be spent hunting training, But we could also train when during the hunt correct?" He had never really been hunting, and didnt know how he would do if they decided to go hunting. " Well I want to get as much training done as possible, so we'll just eat the food I brought." He said as pulled out wrapped food and drinks, handing a helping to Natalia.

 

[Imperator]

Taking her helping Natalia looked at Sol. He was learning the basics of several force powers. He was not yet very strong in any of them so she would need to help him hone his powers later. Right now she would need to help him to view the force better. It would then help him tomorrow. For tomorrow she would push Sol to his physical limits. With a malicious grin she finished her food and stood up. Okay Sol you ready to train a little bit more today.

 

[T.J]

" Ill go for as long as you want me to" Sol said as he finished up his meal, standing up and stretching. He could feel himself starting to drain, excesive use of force powers, he wasnt actually sure on how much longer he could go.

 

[Imperator]

"Good, now I am going to teach you a power called force awareness. With it you will be able to become better attuned to the force. It will help you so that you can learn more powerful force powerfs more easily. Also sneaking up on you will be more difficult. Now then, to begin you must simply reach out with the force towards eveything around you. I want you to make yourself a small nexus of all the force enrgy around you."

 

[T.J]

OOC: sorry about the wait, havent had computer access for a while.

IC: Sol focused his thoughts before doing what he was asked. Feeling everything around him in the force. The birds and small animals that fled from thier presence, the trees and the plants themselves, all of them he felt in the force. He reached out to them and most if not all fled for their lives as he did, the fear he felt gave him a sense of power.

 

[Imperator]

"You are beginning to sense the power within you. Now reach out towards the minds you have touched. Truly feel them, now begin to probe deep into their weak thoughts. Then once you have them bend their minds to your will. Bring those with weak minds before you using the force. This is the affect mind technique. It is one of the most powerful abilitiesin the arsenal of a force user."
