Hutt Cartel
The Seven Rings
Being a member of the Hutt Cartel is an honor itself. That being said, even the galaxy’s best have an elite. To honor their efforts and contributions to the Hutt Cartel, Grand Lord Vero the Hutt has decreed that a series of rings be made to recognize these individuals. Each ring, signifying a starkly different meaning, is produced in varying quantities; some are one-of-a-kind. There are certain protocols to be followed with the wearing of these rings, specifically the great offense it implies if you are not wearing it in the presence of the person who gave it to you. When worn these rings may be displayed on any finger, on a necklace, or, in some cases, it is even acceptable to have the ring altered into a broach or badge. The rings also offer an alternate purpose: a show of status amongst Cartel members. An Enforcer who wears a ring representing a Lorda’s favor compared to one who does not, may be considered of higher status (not outranking, mind you).
The Ring of Azalus

The Ring of Azalus, azalus being Huttese for "Dangerous," is probably the most heavily sought after ring in the Cartel, as it is the sole only one-of-a-kind piece. Awarded to the Cartel’s top bounty hunter, this ring is a clear display of prowess in the field of running down quarry, and is only achieved by being the highest ranked bounty hunter on the Cartel’s Leaderboards. In the event the holder of the Ring of Azalus is dethroned, it his his or her responsibility to deliver the ring to their successor within a reasonable amount of time. Failing that, the new number one ranked bounty hunter has the right to pursue his predecessor and remove the ring by force. Currently held by Vica Veszk.
The Ring of Wounds

This ring is awarded to those brave enough to have been hurt while serving in the best interests for the Hutt Cartel. Only those who have had dire wounds that have crippled or caused them to suffer for the rest of their lives are awarded with this ring. The ring symbolizes the loyalty and duty its wearer has in the name of the Cartel. While not a factor that determines rank, the ring shows honor and bravery and garners respect from every member of the Cartel, starting with the Granee Lorda himself. Presented publicly, unless circumstances call for otherwise, by the Granee Lorda.
The Ring of Defense

Awarded to those who have showed great courage and full dedication for the interest of the Cartel, the Defense of the Council (DoC) ring is chosen and voted on by the Hutt Council. The criteria of this ring is carefully examined by the Council and includes either one or many actions by a member who has defended a Hutt Cartel asset or interest. While multiple variants of this ring exist because of its nature, it is still considered an honorable and highly valued award recognized by all throughout the Cartel. Recipients of the DoC may not need the same amount of experience as another might when applying for a promotion, being easier to get a vouch from a higher ranking member.
The Ring of Hostility

This ring is designed to promote the acquisition of large corporate companies by way of aggressive acts. Whether by force or by subterfuge, taking control of an asset large enough to fill the Cartel's pockets is a good way to start garnering recognition for this ring. Symbolizing tactics and a strong ability to give/carry out commands, the Hostile Takeover Ring is highly revered and a well respected honor to uphold. While there is no special accolade granted to the owners of this ring, they are definitely considered among the Cartel’s “top” operatives when running ventures.
The Ring of the Granee Lorda

Those who serve the Cartel and show that they have the best interest for the unity and prosper of the Cartel in the eyes of the Granee Lorda himself are awarded this highly prestigious ring. Made of the most decadent and expensive materials, this ring is worth the word of the Granee Lorda, much more than the millions of credits its components are valued at. The ring represents a highly respected and extremely invaluable member of the Cartel, given out by the Granee Lorda himself. Probably the second most valuable piece of jewelry in the Cartel next to Borga’s crown.
The Ring of Lordas

While not as prestigious as the Ring of Granee Lorda, this ring certainly has power. This ring is bestowed to members by any of the Lordas on the Grand Council. The criteria for the recipients of this ring falls under the authority of the council member who wish to give it out. Each Lorda of the council has two rings to give out as they wish, and it is not uncommon for a Lorda to take back a ring to give to another. The ring symbolizes full trust in the Lorda who awarded to the recipient, and by extension, their authority.
The Ring of a Champios

Holding nearly every bit of power and authority, as well as respect and honor, that the Ring of the Lordas has, except on the scale and prestige level granted to a Captain. Captains are held to give out only one ring each, and are also allowed to take back the ring if they wish. While a Captain’s word is less than a Lorda, recipients of this ring are certainly viewed with full respect and honor.
