Rial's fighter dropped out of hyperspace in formation with the other fighters in his squadron followed shortly by one of his corvettes. He looked out into space at the moon they had come to see. "Nar Shadaa," he said quietly enough that his voice activated mic did not pick it up. The moon was a blot on galaxy and an utter disgrace, yet it was needed. He knew very few other places were he could find countless mercs all looking for jobs and very easily accessible.

It took only a few minutes to find a landing pad for his fighter, the rest of his squadron and his corvette would maintain position in space as backup. His next move was to find someplace were some high grades mercs would congregate and not just some standard cannon fodder. "I guess I might as well try the closest mercenary guild," Rial said looking for anything that might help him find a good location for high grades mercs since most cantinas had nothing more than a mass of highered muscle.

Gerard Crace sat in the cantina on Nar Shadaa. He was bored of trying to find a place in this universe now. He did not want to become a mere bounty hunter or just another bodyguard, he used to be a Jedi Knight. Just because he left the order does not mean he left his power with it. He had scoured the advertisement boards of ever single canitna in the port district and found nothing, so he had resigned himself to a glass of ale and trusting in the Force that something would turn up. He checked his hood obscure his face as he drank, hiding his prescence in the Force should any over-zealous Sith Knights on vacation from the academy get a little upperty at feeling his power.

Rial was already getting tired of looking and he had just started. He had just finished posting his ad at the mercenary guild for the all the good it might do him considering the level of competence he had seen. He was now resigned to get a drink and try to use the grapevine to find some competent mercs. He entered what seemed like one of many cantinas he had seen and immediately walked up the bar and ordered some Corellian whiskey. When the baqrtneder came back with his drink he asked the man, "Any chance you know were to get some higher quality mercs than what is out at the guild?"

He looked from his seat at the bar down towards the newcomer. He was strange looking, dressed in his black leather garb, but Gerard supposed that was what he should expect in such a strange place in the galaxy, no doubt he himself did not look too friendly, his face barely visible. The man ordered a drink and he heard him ask the barman about mercenaries. As he heard it he felt the tiniest nudge in the Force, just a prod towards this man. He looked towards him and spoke, trying his best to be charming; he had never been the best at talking.

"I'm looking for work, and I could fight circles around anyone at the academy. What work are you offering?"

Rial looked at the man talking to him, he wa wearing the robes oftenseen on a jedi but with out the overbearing annoying personality. "I assume you are a rogue jedi?" Rial asked, though he already knew the answer since jedi were not known for taking mercenary jobs. "I am looking for some people to act as marines to board and seize control of a Sith supertransport," Rial spoke in a rather nonchalant manner as though this was an everyday thing.

*Spinning in seat at the bar, Jarair Karen's gaze fell upon the man who was looking for soldiers for hire. The ex-Mandalorian rose from his chair to make his interest known.*

"I can act like your typical marine, used to serve aboard starships myself for a while."

*His eyes moved to Gerard. Behind that black visor his lips curled into a smile.*

"Still alive huh?"

Rial looked at the Mandalorian now taking him up on his offer of a job. "I am not looking for a typical marine, I an looking for an elite marine. You will be taking over a supertransport full of kolto, and with the current war going on, you probably know how the price of that is." Rial gave a small malicious smile as he said this mostly ignoring the past between the jedi and the mando figuring that if he had to he could just order them to go on different ships.

((OOC you met Haven Tuak on Citadel Station; if you want a backstory between these to that'd be fine, but could you PM me about what you had in mind...if you did))

Gerard looked at the Mandalorian, who seemed to think he knew him, he could not place him in his mind. He thought it would be better to play the fool and thrink more on it later.

"Still alive huh?" asked the Mandalorian.

"Apparently," said Gerard, gesturing to his solid form, shrouded in shadow. Then he turned to the potential employer, "I'm not technically a rogue Jedi, I'm not an acolyte of the dark side, neither an apprentice of the light; I walk my own path in between, the path of a Grey Jedi," he could sense the man's wariness, "and I may be neutral in the Force, but I certainly have no love for the Sith. What fees are you offering? What is the supertransport carrying? Troops? Weapons? Supplies?"

Dominick nodded as the jedi told him that he was a neutral grey jedi. "I currently do not know what the cost for the kolto will be when we steal it since when a pair of super-transports full stuff suddenly disappears then we can expect a nice little price hike of the black market." Rial finishd his statement with a little smile knowing that the more skilled this guy his potential employees were the more they would like his idea since the fewer the mercs the higher the cut.

He considered what he said. He needed work to get his own plans into fruition.

"I'll do it on these conditions. Number one, I coordinate and lead the assault on one of the tankers; whether I'm on my own or not is up to you, but I probably could take it on my own. Number two, I want a third of the profits of the kolto sold."

He waited while Rial turned this over. His fees were steep, but his skill was sure.

((You do realize how absurd wanting a third of all the kolto from a super-transport is right? Each super-transport will hold around 75,000 metric tons of cargo.))

"You want a third of the kolto. You do realize that not matter how good you are there is no way you could kill all the sith marines, disable internal defences, and get the ship into hyperspace before you are destroyed by the escorts right? Unless you plan to lower your hiring cost you will need to lower your cost." Rial's tone was smooth but assured as he spoke to Gerard.

((A third of the profits; so however much fifty tons of cargo is worth. I don't intend to sell it for you.))

"I don't want any of the kolto, I want a third of the profits. I'm aware those are steep costs. And have you ever seen me in action? Providing there are no Sith Knights onboard I should be able to take one, it's certainly possible. And if there is a Sith Knight, they'll expect to kill me and won't prep the ship for destruction until after I fight. But I suppose I could settle with a quarter of the profits and allow you to send someone in with me. You're coordinating the attack, so that's down to you, I'm merely discussing fee."

"One jedi trying to single handedly seize a 200 meter ship worth at least tens of millions of credits in the middle of a war inside of a sector which has seen a recent increase in piracy? You do realize it would take one engineer and a few sith marines to stop you cold right? For a quarter of the profits I could hire enough elite commandos to take over the enemy Interdictor." Rial was beginning to think this jedi had an inflated view of himself if he thought he could take on an entire ship by himself.

He knew he was losing a battle here, his potential employer was not in favour of him at all.

"Okay, let's do it this way. I lead the strike team on one of the tankers and we divide up the profits after the raid depending on its success. What do you think of that?"

Rial's smile returned. "That seems like a good idea, I think once you see how much we can walk away with you may decide that you wll get enough." Rial knew that he had just won this negotiation especially since his latest estimate put this mission at over 60 million in potential profits.

"Well then, let's start planning," he felt no victory, but no loss; they had hardly decided anything, other than he was in and leading an attack, which should put his cut relatively high. He did not expect a huge sum, he had never delved into economics, but he was sure he would have enough. He sensed Rial's pleasure through the Force, he had his man and thought he had won the negotiations. Gerard had no reason to spoil the moment,

"Can I offer you a drink, to the mission?" he asked.

The Merc guild; ah the fun this overgrown city has given Barvok. This place has a great variety of drinks! Just don't try the water; otherwise you might remove what your mouth contains plus, if your lucky, a little bit of bile. Which happens to land on that brute in front of the pool soul when he saw a job out of an endless list, a job that sounded fun. Luckily that muscle bound guy didn't really notice (His fault for wearing shiny metal armor) and dashing over to the office to take up the job.

Somehow, the office accepted Barvok's Datapad and it quickly uploaded the details on the notice plus a few other needed pieces of information (Like when and where to meet). Catch 22, fail me now! Having a run of people saying not enough experience means brilliant fun for those Mercs who know they have the skills but no rep.

Now, to exit a store when a rather muscle bound ogre happens to realize he wet his pants. Along with having enough cells in that foot-ball helmet head of his to remember the guy sitting behind him isn't good, isn't it? Well, with an angry man chasing after him, Barvok activated the Stealth Belt and prayed to the bird god Hoto... Well, just prayed to any greater deity that he isn't noticed.
(That he wasn't, well by the Brute anyway)

((Now to pray that this topic isn't lost; yes, this post was edited))
