[Sace Vsil]

Mission: Salvage the Arquitens-Class ship by leading a group of astromech droids to repair the hull two breaches in the front of the ship.​

The Corellian YT-7130 Light Freighter, dubbed Lodestar, exited hyperspace far enough away from their target as to not immediately be affected by the star pulses they had been warned about. this was the one thing Sace would never grow tired of, flying through space. His freighter was in poor internal condition, though he made sure that all of its mechanics were in working order. He wouldnt bring it on a mission of this class otherwise.

The scene before them seemed just as it was described...a graveyard. Hundreds of ship parts and hulls just floating in space. All caused by some war that left these ships tarnished and out of commission years and years ago. Though there was some beauty to it, in all of this wreckage stood salvageable parts that were waiting to be used. Though they would have their obstacles, ones that would deter any normal junk scavenger from picking from this lot.

"How'sss our payload doin'?" Sace chimmed in on his com linked to his own R-8 series astromech droid Shorty who responded in droidspeak.
"We jussst gotta find the target ship and we'll let you guys do your thing." Their haul was about 10 BB-7 series astromech droids that were tasked with repairing the ships hull so that they can fly it out of there. Sace opened up his scanners, looking for any signs of anything really. Life would be surprising, but his target was the Arquitens-Class command frigate with two gaping holes in its front.

"Careful, Sace. The solar flares are deadly." Jaesa was flying a separate ship, her light interceptor, and communicated to Sace through comms. Her ship had been outfitted to resist the pulses, but she would have to do her best to avoid most of them if she didn't want to risk her neck. Technology wasn't quite up to star-level defenses yet.

Crix and her had taken a detour here not long ago, only to end up scrambling to get their ships repaired before another flare fucked them over. On the plus side, she knew exactly where that ship had been.

"Keep close to me and try to stay between large wreckage and the star. If a flare goes off it'll held to mitigate the effects." Jaesa continued to lead Sace toward their target, doing her best to take a safe passage there. She opened up her scanner, pinpointing the location of the frigate. It was definitely worse for wear.

"If the docking stations aren't useable we can try to land in one of those holes."

Sace felt most comfortable behind the control stick of...well, any ship. He knew that the issue wouldnt arise whilst they were flying to and from their target, though what he was most nervous about was the flares affecting them once inside the ship. During their debrief was mention of CIS droids and buzz droids that had gone rogue due to the longevity of absence of a command droid, though Sace had confidence and trust in his Jedi companion. The Jedi had equipped their ships with anti-energy shields that would hopefully protect them from the flares. The same technology was fitted within the droids that would they would be relying upon to repair the ships hull.

"Up to you, we would probably sssee mosst resistance from rogue droids in the hangars anyway." Sace replied through his com. He followed the Jedi Knight who was taking a path to shield them from the star using the wreckage of all of the other ship parts that flew around, some larger than others. He was glad that she knew the ships location as that would cut half of the time searching for it.

As they neared the ship, the first of the solar flares lashed out from the nearby sun. They were protected from the majority of the radiation from the body of the ship, but Jaesa's systems flared up for a moment anyways. She held her breath until the flashing red hues returned to blue, then exhaled. The shields held for now.

"You alright?" Jaesa continued to get closer to the ship and prepared her vessel for landing by scanning for the ship's docking bay. Her scanners picked up on it quickly. Luckily, it seemed to be on a portion of the ship undamaged by battle or the sun's flares. Jaesa signaled for Sace to follow her as she headed straight for it, landing in the open area.

"I don't think we can be sure if the breach in the hulls has compromised the ship's oxygen levels or not. Probably best to wear a suit in." Jaesa, while waiting for the padawan to land with the droids, would prepare herself to exit the ship. Lightsaber? Check. BB-unit? Squeaky gave her a little trill. Check. Sace? Jaesa would turn to watch and make sure the padawan landed safely.

Sace was quick to check all of his monitors and their settings. The flare had reached them but they were fortunate enough to have the safety equipment installed to prevent the flares from doing real harm. His only concern would be how long it would last. So far his ship was intact...

"Ssshorty...everyone good?" The droid replied in binary signifying that he and the rest of the droids were all in proper working order. They would have to conduct themselves efficiently if they were to retrieve this ship and all of their droids in one piece.

Sace continued flying to the rear of Jaesa. "All good here...cargo is good too." Sace noticed that they were headed for the ships docking bays. Better off, the trek to the damaged portion of the ship wasnt too far off and that way if they got it up and running they wouldnt have to worry about the security of their own vessels. Sace brought the Lodestar down on the hangar.

"Will do...We'll meet you on the deck." Sace replied, removing his headset and slithering over to his oxygen suit specially made to fit the Sluissi. After dorning the suit, he motioned over to his droid to activate the others, then hitting a panel to let the docking bay door open to the ground. The BB droids were first to exit the freighter, followed by Sace's astromech, and then the serpent himself. Meeting up with the Jedi Knight who had an astromech of her own.

"Ssso...this should be interesssting. Jusst have to be on the look out for the rogue droids while we make our way to the front of the ship..."

"Rogue droids indeed." Jaesa met Sace outside their ships, Squeaky at her side. She glanced at the various BB-units rolling out behind Sace, cracking a small smile at the amusing sight. Right. "Let's make our way there. We need to get this as done as soon as we can so we don't get stuck with broken droids."

The dathomirian began to head towards their objective, hand on her hilt in case those droids they'd been warned about popped up. It was a good thing she did, because as soon as they left the main hanger they bumped right into a group of CIS droids. There were eight of them, standing idle until the two jedi made their appearance. Jaesa's lightsaber ignited just in time to deflect a barrage of bullets, covering Sace and the astromechs for now. She extended her hand after a break in the bullets and send out a wave of the Force, sending many of them tumbling back and knocking down the others like bowling pins. This would give them both the chance to dispatch of them.

Jaesa rushed forward and held her lightsaber low to the ground, slicing it clean through three of the eight droid which laid struggling on the ground. She cut down a fourth which was beginning to rise.

Sace followed Jaesa, the urgency of their mission brought up by the Dathomirian Knight. And she was right. The last thing they needed was a failed mission and less astromech droids to bring back. That would surely look poorly on them, and Sace was not about to set that as his reputation within the Order.

Following the Knight, they quickly ran into a group of CIS droids. Sace's first reaction was to go for his blaster which he did. Though he soon realized how quickly his fellow Jedi Knight moved in, closing the gap with the droids. Though her actions actually gave Sace a chance to close the distance as well. Following the droid killing Jedi down the corridor, he quickly aimed at the other 4 droids that were already nearly to their feet. A barrage of shots rang out, easily dispatching two of the remaining. Sace moved in with each shot, using a falling shot droid as cover for incoming blaster bolts. Each shot burning holes in the already decommissioned droid. Sace was able to return fire, taking out the remaining two.

Tossing the shot up droid to the side, Sace looked further down the hall...at least for this moment there were no more CIS droids to fight. He motioned for his droid Shorty to bring up the squad of BB-8's.

"One ssstep through the door and were already fighting these droids...Hopefully the rest got sucked out of the hole in the hull."

Sace was barely able to finish his sentence before the ship rocked from the force of another solar flare. Jaesa stumbled forward but steadied herself on one of the nearby walls in the hallway. Once the ship settled, she looked back to check on Sace and the astromechs. It seemed they had managed to tough this wave out, but they would need to move quickly if they wanted to reach the broken hull before too many solar flares put the droids out of commission.

Jaesa pulled up a scan of the ship and marked a path to the breaches, then transferred it to Sace as well. They essentially had a straight path there, minus a couple turns here and there. At least for the first part of their little journey, they would be able to see any droids before the droids saw them. Any droids in the main hallway, at least.

The knight pushed forward, leading the group with her lightsaber held at her side and her BB droid rolling opposite of her. After about ten minutes they made it too a split in the hallway. The map said go left, so she turned that way and continued.

Sace input the directions that Jaesa had sent not only into his own comlink, but that of his droid and the other BB-8's as well, this way if any of them were to get separated they would all have their targets predetermined into their system. They all proceeded without a hitch down the hallways, the front of the ship couldnt be much further. Though one of them would need to go to the command center in order to prepare the ship for their departure. However, that could easily be done once the droids began their service of the ship, which would be the bilk of the time they spend.

They began down the left hallway. Sace could see the end of the hall blocked by a closed door. Once they approached, the door did not automatically open as was expected.

"Ssshorty, get this door open!" Sace said as the small purple droid moved towards a terminal and plugged itself in. Shortly after the door struggled to open, and did so for a split second. A rush of vacuum wind causing all of the droids to turn on their electromagnet tracks in order to stop themselves from being sucked though the door. By the time Shorty was able to close the door, one of the BB-8 construction droids slipped through into space.

"Guess no one turned on the emergency shields...Sshorty..." Before Sace could finish, the droid beeped his response. Forcing the shield generator to apply itself to the damaged portion of the ship. "At leassst we know there are no hostile droids in there..."

Sace got the droids back up and running, so they were able to continue from there. It didn't take them all that long to reach the damaged portion of the ship, and from there they were able to get the droids up and running on the reconstruction of the ship. The droids worked quickly. Jaesa was a bit worried about their ability to survive anymore incoming solar flares, but at least they had reached their destination.
