Sandè Veruna, was a female human from Naboo. A politician and minor noble from the House of Veruna, she was a regular sight at court, and social events, and spent a lot of her time travelling around the Galaxy, for reasons she often chalken up to as 'a desire to see the stars'. In reality she was a cold and calculating operator, who desire power for herself and prestige for her House - which she saw as manifesting itself in her occupancy of the Throne of Naboo. Sandè would stop at nothing, until that destiny was realised.
Biography
A human female born into the Veruna family, Sandè was born Lady Sandè Alica Veruna in the Lake County of Naboo during the Force Eternal period of Galactic history. Her family, which centuries hence had been at the forefront of planetary politics, had long since fallen from grace, with her father, Zinaa, managing the families meager estate, and her mother, Tiluuna, serving as a handmaiden to a more prestigious House. However, as was the tradition of the Nobility on Naboo, Sandè was soon sent to the Civil Legislator Programme, and, upon graduation, was assigned almost immediately to the post of junior magistrate in the planetary capital of Theed.
Having been told that the job was 'stable and safe for a woman of [her] station', Sandè decided she wanted to move onto bigger and better things. She dreamed of being able to return her House to the position of glory it had once held, and decided at the tender age of sixteen, that she would stop at nothing to ensure that one day, it would be so. For the next few years, she worked her way into a position as a junior advisor to a member of the Theed Council, and from their, plotted her ascendancy.
Personality and Traits
Sandè Veruna was a well-mannered woman from Naboo, and cut the image of a high-born member of the establishment that dominated the upper-classes of this idyllic world from whence she heralded. Whilst she maintained a public image as a polite, empathetic and kind human being, she was in fact a sociopath, manipulative to the extreme and utterly ruthless when it came to advancing her cause.
Having been involved in the politics of her homeworld for much of her formative years, she saw the work of the political class as being something of a game of dejarik, a long game intended to be played with the head not the heart. As such, she has a practical outlook toward life, understanding completely that the application of force is often required to ensure the outcome one desires.
Easily her most prominent aspects are her wit, cunning and intelligence. Her strength and competence in the arena of politics are what as ensured that, throughout her younger years and early career, she could secure herself a minor position at the Royal Court, and are what continue to enable her to thrive in the often cruel environment of politics. Whilst shying from public confrontation, she brooks no such restrictions behind closed doors, and abhores incompetence when it could damage her opportunities in life.
Incredibly intelligent, she was the beneficiary of an excellent education, and can speak several languages, most notably basic, Old Corellian and Twi'leki. Sandè has a deep knowledge of galactic history, as well as political philosophy, which enables her to play the part of a cultured socialite with ease. Not one to shy away from conflict, or the realities of life, she keeps herself in good shape, standing at 1.67 meters, and practicing often with a blaster, and melee weapons. She is not a force user, nor is she sensitive to the force in any way. She is in her late twenties, and weighs around 68 kgs.
Not one to rely on others, she is a capable pilot, and flies when it is permissable to do so. Her main skills however lie in the arena of the mind, and she is skilled at reading people, and finding, then exploiting, their weaknesses - although this skill is hard to quantify.
