BIOGRAPHY
Born into a poorer Mirialan family, Samira spent much of her time with her grandmother, who she had a closer relationship with than even her parents. Learning from both her grandmother and from every book she could read, Samira developed an interest in her people's history, and in their spiritualist faith in the force. Having come to an understanding of her family's situation and growing content with it even at a young age, Samira's childhood was a happy one for the most part, though isolated by her own choice.
That changed when Samira's father died of a sudden illness, shocking both herself and her mother; made especially devastating by her grandmother's passing only months later, who died of grief for her only son. Cut off from many she knew in her life and left with an increasingly unwell and incapable mother, Samira found solace in meditation and conferring her feelings to community elders, many of them close friends of her grandmother. While she dedicated herself to taking care of her mother and recieved aid from the rest of the community, it was still a great deal of pressure on the young girl. It was on a particularly awful day; hungry, cold, and almost completely ignored by her mother that Samira fell into a deep and focused meditation, finding solace in a newly deepening connection with the light side of the force. Taking this, she went to her mother, who looked at her with clear eyes for the first time in almost a year; and at her urging, set out to find and join the Jedi order, certain that the force was giving her a path to walk. After assuring her mother would be cared for, she left, and trained with the Jedi order for seven years, translating her values and spirituality into a practical application of the force and disciplined use of a lightsaber, before becoming a Jedi Knight. A year into her Knighthood, Samira seeks to learn more of the history of the galaxy, learn the wisdom of other peoples, and spread the goodwill of the force as far as she can.

Abilities and Equipment
Samira has specialized in Form II lightsaber combat, Makashi, favoring its capacity for restraint over powerful blows. Her blue-bladed lightsaber is likewise designed for this purpose, with a curved hilt that allows more refined control of the weapon with a single hand, which she prefers as it allows her to more easily execute force abilities in combat, hopefully allowing her to gain an upper hand against her foes.
Regarding the force, Samira is focused on developing the ability to protect others over any offensive applications. Her ability to heal with and sustain herself with the force are the abilities she finds the most useful and admirable, though she is also more than capable of telekinesis, light mental manipulation, and is learning to use tutaminis. She is more connected to the force on a spiritual level than she is in regards to its direct manipulation, though if she has learned anything it is that the light side reveals itself to those who need it.
Samira's possessions consist of Jedi robes, traditional Mirialan jewlery, an old book of Mirialan prayers that survived the Empire's reign, and of course her lightsaber.
