Standard Sector Ranger Armor

Originally manufactured to provide a more standard Sector Ranger Armor, it fell out of favor as more Ranger chose to make their own armor for either personal or religious reasons. Built to be durable and customized, the armor was somewhat heavier than some of the standard fare for Law Enforcement agencies on planets but it was deemed an acceptable change for increased customization options.

Sakas' own armor has been kitted out with a slightly roomier helmet to fit her numerous headtails and the functions selected to fit her own needs.


LEGALITY

Entirely legal and respected within FWA space. May not be respected in some areas of space.

INTENT

Intent is to make a standard, almost boring, set of Sector Ranger Armor that can be used when people are making a Ranger and need armor quickly. It should offer people of different play-styles a chance to play their way while maintaining a standard set up.

RESTRICTIONS​

While not illegal to be owned by law enforcement agencies across the Galaxy, it is restricted to being sold to law enforcement and thoroughly vetted private security firms.

Type and Coverage

Type: Medium Armor

Coverage:

• Head: Mostly enclosed durasteel helmet with large transparisteel visor/faceplate
• Torso: Durasteel breastplate over padded underlays.
• Back: Durasteel plate metal covering upper and lower back
• Upper Arms: Durasteel pauldrons
• Lower Arms: Durasteel bracers and reinforced gloves

Functions​

Function 1: Survival HUD

• Reads atmosphere composition and detects toxins.

Function 2: Environment Suit

• While it is not rated for extended exposure to extreme hazards, this body suit (when combined with an enclosed helmet) can protect the wearers body from the effects of environmental and weaponized toxins and similar hazards for up to 5 posting rounds.

Function 3: Rebreather

• Rebreathers allow for a person to survive underwater or in space for brief amounts of time by scrubbing CO2 from their exhaled breath. Generally this lasts for 3-4 posts, but heavy exertion can shorten that time.

Function 4: Bola Launcher

• The gauntlet bola Launcher is a useful addition to a bounty hunters arsenal. Single shot, takes several seconds to reload, and has a max range of 25 meters. A successful hit tangles a foe in a strong durasteel wire to slow down or even capture the target.

Function 5: Jump Boots

• This rare and expensive technology is able to propel a person up to 10 meters beyond what a normal person would normally be able to jump, especially when armored. It is not capable of sustained flight, and requires a brief engine cool-down before it can be used again (1 post cool-down).
