LS-46m Blaster
Cannon
Description:
Originally just a standard mounted particle beam blaster cannon created by Arakyd Industries for the Republic. As the Republic fell, production on the weapons was stopped as the sith empire replaced the Republic. it fully stopped production after the imperial legion told Arakyd Industries they weren’t interested in the weapon. As years went by many these weapons “fell” into the hands of rebel factions and the black market.
many engineers have made many changes to the weapon to make them more usable in combat this demanded the weapon be more mobile. As such, they made weapon able to detach from its tripod and lightened, so it could be carried by those strong enough to efficiently operate it while on move. It’s generally used to provide suppressing fire, point-to-point cover fire, and, predominantly, direct fire in an anti-personnel role, though it is also capable of destroying light vehicles such as armoured land speeders with relative ease. It’s weight and size make it sluggish to aim when carried, making fast moving targets hard to hit when not on a tripod, making it not suitable for close quarters combat, it’s often fitted with a sling to help spread the weight across the upper body to make it easier to wield in combat. It fires at a steady 600 rounds per minute, allowing for constant 10 seconds of fire on a standard power pack. Even the thought barrel was quite thick and the steady fire rate of the weapon it's often known for the barrel to warp under intense heat created from sustain fire from this weapon, so it's often advised after 17 seconds of sustained fire (emptying a full High-Capacity Power Pack) to leave weapon to cool for 5 seconds (the time it takes a human to reload if operating by yourself on move), to swap the barrel for a cool one or dump water on the barrel to speed up cooling.

Intent:
I haven’t seen a weapon this timeline similar to the Z-6 rotary blaster cannon and the Heavy ACP Repeater(legends) used in the clone wars. These weapons were assault gun used to suppress enemies while on the move and direct fire in an anti-personnel role plus who doesn't want to do a Rambo with a very large gun.
