Ripley's Believe it or Not
Ripley's Believe it or Not is a historical Holonet series produced by the Galactic Museum. The docuseries airs on all of the regular channels with a new episode released on a weekly basis. It is educational in nature and mainly targeted toward those of university age but might appeal to anyone with a desire to learn and a love of history.
This Holonet docuseries follows its hostess Ripley Virago as she travels across the galaxy in the search to discover, document, and share history with viewers. Each new episode allows viewers to travel to the far corners of the galaxy and to discover the rich history of unfamiliar planets and people, all from the comfort of their couches.
Within the allotted span of forty-five minutes, Ripley details the history of landmarks and events, giving the viewers a secondhand perspective. Many episodes involve a search for lost or fabled artifacts, the exploration of tombs and abandoned temples, and an investigation of the galaxy's wide and ranging folklore and urban legends.
Occasionally, a second segment of the series will air entitled Ripley's Believe it or Not: Ghosts and Ghouls of the Galaxy. During this second segment of the series, Ripley travels to the most haunted corners of the galaxy to attempt to communicate with ghosts and document those interactions.
Ghost hunting has opened the hostess up to ridicule, with many viewers tuning in for nothing more than a weekly laugh, but this has not deterred the historian.
The history of the galaxy is immense, and Ripley's Believe it or Not intends to discover it all.
