Riley was born to two loving parents in a small town in Lake Country on Naboo. She had a very humble upbringing, along with her younger brother. Her father owned an antique shop, and her mother was a housewife. While most of her friends wanted to get into a trade of some sort like most of the people in her town, Riley had more intellectual pursuits.
It was clear that she wanted to pursue rigorous academics. Her family couldn’t afford to send her to private school, but they managed to convince the school district closer to Theed to allow her to attend. As a result, Riley did the two hour commute each way to get to her classes and quickly excelled in her studies.
By 16, she had been given a full ride to multiple universities around the galaxy. In the end, she chose to attend Coruscant, completing her education there at Republic University. Shortly after that, she selected Mon Cala to attend for medical school.
After graduating, she decided to specialize in internal medicine, especially interested in exotic and infectious diseases impacting aliens and humans. Her residency research took her to work in a lab that began the initial work on the AMS project. However, she had no insight then into what it was for or that it was funded and driven by the crimelord Durr the Hutt.
It became rapidly evident that the serum had catastrophic side effects, and it began to be abused by others that got their hands on it. Horrified, Riley quickly attempted to track down and understand exactly how the serum morphed and impacted people, realizing soon that it began to give rise to what was deemed ‘Frenzy’. She made it her mission to rapidly work to find a cure from then on, even if it put her in danger.

Riley is normally rather shy and quirky. Once she warms up, she has a happy go lucky demeanor and a very optimistic view of the world. However, sometimes this can come across as naive and her brilliance may sometimes be overlooked.
