Aska was torn. This meeting had not been going as she had hoped between the Administrator’s approach to their arrival and the droid revealing Ali’s elected hiding spot for the weapons. She was fighting the urge to simply throw the Zeltron boarding party back on to the beach and having Kayto take the ship back into orbit to attempt an escape. But then Ali had found her voice and for the first time since she had acquired the Togrutan slave girl, Aska was almost proud. It seemed that perhaps she had been rubbing off on the more passive woman. Kevrik, however, was less amused. As he turned his attention back to Alisaah, the harshness to his glare diminished slightly though it was evident he knew he still had a job to do. Instead of responding to Alisaah’s statement, however, he instead motioned for the pilot’s to bring the weapons over to him to inspect.
First starting with the SE-45, he spun the weapon in his hands and looked it over carefully. He would see the slight carved markings Aska had placed in the handle since she had left Coruscant with it. Each stroke marking a kill that the weapon had claimed, it was likely quite obvious what they indicated. Still, there had yet to be any illegal modifications to the blaster. Placing the weapon down on the table beside him, he then took the Bryar pistol and gave it a similar inspection. The vibrodaggers, however, he did not bother spending on time on.
”Hm, my apologies then, Alisaah,” L’Amara began. ”It seems these particular weapons are perfectly legal to own. Might I ask why you were hiding them?” Kevrik paused for a moment then waved his hand dismissively, smiling at the Togrutan. ”On second thought, it does not matter. You are right, of course. I should be showing both you and your…” Turning his attention back to Aska, who was still standing between them both with her arms crossed, a smug smirk on her face as she attempted to keep her pride in Ali’s interruption hidden, the look in the man’s eyes changed slightly to reflect his disdain for Aska’s own demeanor. ”Friend here the respect you deserve. Can I assume that you are part of a dancing troupe? Or perhaps once was?” L’Amara turned and walked away from the group as he examined the rest of the common area, turning back to face them once more and motioning for his pilot’s to return to his side. ”I was told by Representative Pintalli that we are in need of dancers for the final night of the conference. Perhaps I could extend an invitation to you and your crew as a means to amend my previous approach?” Smiling broadly at the Togrutan, it was clear that he was speaking directly to her. Aska looked over to Ali and smirked, giving her a slight nod that she should accept.
