REIEL'S BESKAR'GAM

Repurposed from a full beskar cuirass originally intended for her buir's first foundling (a Force-sensitive Dathomiri hunted for her abilities – and as a Mandalorian the Clan had deemed it fit to award the child the best protection they could be offered: beskar armor, with some of the clan members donating what Mandalorian iron they possessed), Reiel inherited the rights to it's ownership after she had passed her verd'goten and also at her adoptive father's behest. With the rarity of the Mandalorian iron, it was both a privilege and a blessing to obtain the metal from the dead and craft armor out of it. Reiel, however, opted to donate portions of the beskar for the foundlings, thus ending up with a mix of beskar, duraplast, and durasteel cuirass.

The beskar parts of her armor were crafted by Clan Crowholde's armorer, while the non-Mandalorian iron ones were of Reiel's own craft. Despite her size and build, she chose to don heavy armor not only for protection but also to allow herself to go beyond her limits with gaining mobility despite the additional weight she would have to carry while wearing said armor. Given the training her adoptive father had subjected her into and years of wearing it, Reiel had gotten used to the armor's overall weight and mobility it offered her.

While the armor's functions and specifications appeared to be fixed, Reiel was still open for further customization of her beskar'gam.

LEGALITY

Mandalorian armor, though rare, is not illegal in most places. That said, wearing a full face helmet in public spaces is frowned upon, and often illegal in many core worlds, especially in or near government facilities- not to mention that many identification cards in various systems require a full face photo. This drives many strict adherents of "the way" to operate exclusively on the fringes of the galaxy.

INTENT

Mandalorians are never without their precious beskar'gam, right?

RESTRICTIONS
The armor is crafted solely for Reiel's use. Should someone seek to wear her armor, they would have to pry it from her corpse.

Type and Coverage

Type: Heavy Armor

Coverage: (Coverage regions for Light armor is 1-3 regions, Medium is 4-5, Heavy is 6-7)

  • Head: A full coverage beskar helmet with transparisteel t-visor, equipped with a rangefinder.
  • Torso: Segmented beskar-alloy plating over bantha hide undersuit covering most of torso.
  • Back: Durasteel plating over bantha hide undersuit, covering upper back, with attachments to allow for a jetpack.
  • Upper Arms: Durasteel pauldrons, and duraplast elbow protectors.
  • Lower Arms: Durasteel vambraces.
  • Upper Legs: Durasteel thighguards hidden by clothing sewn over her flightsuit.
  • Lower Legs: A pair of duraplast kneeguards and shin guards made out of durasteel, the latter concealed much like her thigh guards.

Functions

Function 1: Rebreather

  • Rebreathers allow for a person to survive underwater or in space for brief amounts of time by scrubbing CO2 from their exhaled breath. Generally this lasts for 3-4 posts, but heavy exertion can shorten that time.
Function 2: Emergency Vac-suit

  • It's no replacement for a spacesuit if you intend to EVA, but this undersuit, if combined with a helmet, can protect the wearer from the immediate effects of exposure to a vacuum for 5 posting rounds. You still need a way to breathe, however.
Function 3: Wrist Flamethrower

  • Wrist flamers are rare, expensive, and dangerous armor attachments favored by mercenaries and soldiers more than bounty hunters, and are illegal in many systems. Wrist flamers are powered by small fuel capsules, and typically hold enough for 3 short bursts of flame. These bursts last 2 seconds, are one meter wide and have a maximum range of 3 meters. The weapon must be manually activated via button or switch, and must be disassembled to be reloaded.
Function 4: Vision Mode

  • This Allows a Helmet HUD to cycle to thermal vision mode.
Function 5: Whipcord thrower

  • The whipcord launcher was a personal weapon that fired a thin fibercord whip which then wrapped around and ensnared the target to restrict mobility up to 10 meters away while remaining attached to the mount point. It was detachable with a second use of the firing button. The whipcord launcher was favored by bounty hunters, as it was easy to carry and use and it virtually always ensured a live capture, though it could be cut by a vibro blade with ease.

@Forsythe Crowholde
As per the new rules regarding beskar, this armor's beskar content will have to be drastically reduced, or it will need to be archived. Only 2 minor pieces are permitted to be made of lightsaber resistant material. Thank you.
