Trael simply looked at his fellow champion an unamused look on his face. His hand flexing and hovering Caers saber in front of him. "Not all that pickpocket you will be defenseless against our kind." It would then return back to his hip. Trael simply smirked at himself as he lectured someone else on the ease at which they could lose a lightsaber.

Trael took in the other Sith's explanation of what they would be doing exactly. "So more of a scouting mission then?" He sighed, well it was better than hunting down a beautiful chemist. Especially since this particular chemist was able to catch him off guard twice in one day. Yet now wasn't the time to dawdle on it, he had a mission to do before he could worry about that.

Trael was beginning to lead them down the street when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He tensed up his hand quickly going for his dagger before he realized it was Caer. "You helped me out in my endeavor it's only fair I return the favor." His body slowly relaxed as his instincts quieted down. "We can talk on the way I suppose." At Caers question Trael seemed to go into deep thought. How long was it now? Ten years, has it really been that long? "If my memory is correct I was taken as an acolyte ten years ago. How about you?"

Caerllion stared at his lightsaber at Trael’s hands. He felt the urge to crush the human’s neck with his magick, but he soon dismissed it. The Annfyn wasn’t in the mood to dispose of a corpse or start a fight. “You have quick hands. I wonder who taught it to you.” he said, while covering his lightsaber with his jacket. “You should use it more in your missions. If you haven't done it, yet.

Yes. While I could start catching them, there would be three other people arriving in the past few days. I want to give them something to do.” he was sure that they would be pissed if, when they arrived, the Annfyn had already done everything. He would at least give them the chance of hunting for prey.

The fact that the human reaction to the Annfyn’s hand on his shoulder didn’t go unnoticed. Still so tense, hum? He needs to relax a bit. Caerllion thought, while wondering if Trael’s reaction was related to what had happened when his belongings were stolen. This person really left an impact on his fellow Champion.

He was curious to know about this person.

I was already a part of the Order since it was still connected to the Empire.” he said, while thinking about how many years it must be. “Probably there must be some 15 years.” many things happened during this time, some good and other bad. “My Master was a sorceress, she passed some of her knowledge to me, before disappearing. Then I taught myself for the rest of my time as an Acolyte.

Did you have a good time with your Master?” Caerllion asked, only now noticing that his hand had remained at Trael’s shoulder. He removed it immediately. “Did you do interesting missions? I went to the remnants of Kamino one day.

As he returned the other Sith's blade he asked of who taught him. "My master did. She preferred using the force in more subtle ways." Though he often went with the direct approach he couldn't completely give up the benefits of his teachers lessons. He had mostly abandoned using them for a while yet he was going to try and mix them in more often too avoid further Zygerria type incidents.

Three others, those words peaked Trael's interest. "If there are others coming than it must be a sanctioned mission truly. Especially in the numbers coming here." It was rare for more than a couple Sith to work on any missions of a more personal matter. Having four do so could only mean a mission either put together by the Dark Lord or one endorsed by her.

He listened as Caer briefly explained his history with the Sith. Fifteen years, so he was his senior based on that. "A sorceress you say? That means your knowledge of the force must out do my own. Luckily my Master was there for my entire tenure as an acolyte." His Master also command the force in intricate ways that Trael still couldn't fully grasp but she wasn't a sorceress.

He began trying to piece together a response to his questions about his Master and missions as an acolyte. "For most of the time it was rather enjoyable. Although the way it ended left a sour after taste." He again slipped deep into his own memories trying to find an interesting mission. "Sadly most of the missions we went on were purely for one form of training or another. Although I did spend a decent amount of time training on Cando Bight in the ways of subterfuge. After all my Master was an assassin she commanded the force in ways I still can't understand fully." His tone was a mix of admiration and disgust much like his feelings towards his late Master.

Various nightclubs and bars began coming into view now. It would seem to Caer that they were near the commercial side of the spaceport. "This is where a lot of the more civilized nightlife takes place. There's bars and nightclubs everywhere here. Pick one that strikes your fancy as you will need to remember where your targets frequent. I would recommend a bar to start it will be more relaxed and less crowded so initial surveillance won't be difficult."

You were really lucky. Mine ditched me without even a note.” Caerllion said, finally having the opportunity of venting about his Master and how she left him to carry his training alone. “She taught me some nice tricks, but could have at least stayed around to watch me become a Champion. Sometimes I think that she only liked to torture me, like in my first time we trained together.

When Trael mentioned that the time with his Master ended sour, the Annfyn decided to not ask about it. “Yeah, some Masters really suck. I remember that there was a guy that had failed with all his apprentices. One left the Order, the other was executed and another died in a duel, I think.” the Champion couldn’t remember his name at the moment though. “There are bad students, but when three start doing shit I think that the teacher isn’t doing his job right.”

Caerllion could feel the mixed feelings when Trael talked about his missions. It only made him more curious about the other Sith’s Master. “One time, I participated in a planetary invasion. It was my first serious mission, I never saw so much death until that time." at the time, it was impactful. Now he dealt with death without problems. "However, I was able to save nearly all the troops that were under my command because I had the idea of covering ourselves with mud as camouflage. When enemy soldiers came with their flamethrowers, we escaped without being burned.” he said, feeling a bit nostalgic with these memories.

Of course, he omitted the fact that the idea of using the mud only came out after he fell fifteen times in a swamp.

The Annfyn noticed that they had arrived at one of the more festive districts of Nar Shaddaa, which wasn’t so far away from the spaceport. Makes sense, some visitors came here because they wanted to have fun and the position of this area helped it. Looking around, the Champion found a place where they could start. “Let’s give a look at this bar.” he pointed to an establishment that had a sign with colorful neon letters. “It didn’t seem to be the place where important people would go. Besides, I owe you a drink for thinking that you could be a good target.” he smiled at Trael, while gesturing for the human to follow him.

"I don't know if I'd go with lucky. Being forced to train in something you aren't good at isn't the best." Most of his training was focused on his weaknesses. Weaknesses he still had to a degree. "It seems she did something correct. She left you with some form of beneficial knowledge." His master did the same, she left him with some techniques as well.

Caer then began going on a rant of sorts about a master he saw as a failure. "You can't fully put the blame on the master for his students actions. Especially if said students were no longer acolytes. Trying to deflect someone's failings as failed teaching removes the aspect of growth." Trael may blame his master for a lot but never for his own failings. She may have given him the tools but the way he used them was only able to be blamed on himself.

"A planetary invasion? That sounds like quite the mission." Though he had his share of violent missions, he had yet to experience a war zone. "Sounds like you're quite the strategist. Although, I'd never take you for one to cover themselves in mud. You're appearance is to put together." The Sith seemed to put effort into his look something that normally would mean an aversion to ruining said look.

As they began entering night life area Caer quickly pointed out a bar. The establishment was on the smaller side yet seemed busy enough. Walking in the interior was homely. The bar wasn't full but it was packed enough to be loud and have the potential for a brawl. Trael made his war to the bar, "I'll have one Dark Side Daiquiri please." As he turned to face the rest of the bar he noticed a group of Twi'leks that seemed to be watching someone that looked helpless. He sent a telepathic message to Caer, "Twi'leks that seem to prey on easy targets over there." His drink would arrive and he would grab it an take a sip, placing the credits owed on the counter.

This is true. Even if she had only trained me for a short time, she was still able to teach me my greatest ability.” if it wasn’t for Vex, Caerllion would have never learned about sorcery. Even if he complained about the woman most of the time, the Annfyn was grateful for her teachings.

Here is the catch, all his apprentices did these things while they were still Acolytes. They never became Champions.” the Annfyn said, still trying to remember the name of the Sith that trained these failures. In the end, he couldn't remember it. “But I agree. Not all teachers are guilty because of the actions of their students.

However, they should be the first ones to act and correct them. In our case, even through execution.” Caerllion wondered if Trael agreed with him about this point. They were Sith and failures would need to be punished, even with death if it was necessary.

Trael’s comment about his appearance made Caerllion raise an eyebrow. “Why? Do you think that I’m a spoiled brat?” maybe the human would think that he needed to be careful with how he answered this question, but the Annfyn was only joking. “I like to be well dressed and with a good appearance, but being a Sith for so long made me not bother if I get a bit dirty during a mission.

The bar that they entered was exactly what Caerllion had expected. A shady place full of shady people. It was perfect, the individuals inside it were the type that no one would mind if they disappeared. The Annfyn would risk saying that some would even celebrate if it happened.

I want the same as him.” the Annfyn said to the bartender, shortly before feeling Trael contact him telepathically. He discreetly turned to look at the group of Twi’leks, there were male and females. Caerllion used the Force to reach their minds, reading them without alerting them. He learned that the Twi’leks used to come here every night. “Yes, they are perfect. I’ll talk about them to my partners.

"If they were all acolytes then it does fall on the teacher. Once an acolyte rises to become a champion the teacher should no longer be held responsible." Trael never much entertained the idea of his own apprentice before. He still felt he wouldn't do well as one. Yet aiding in the training on Umbara from time to time was enjoyable to him.

It was then Caer said something that gave Trael an indirect look into the man's heart. "A failure should, unless in dire situations, never require execution. The way a species or group evolve is through learning from failure and adapting. It would be hard to do that as a corpse." Also the current numbers of sith made it hard to validate executing them even more.

Trael chuckled at the question. "A brat no. Though I can tell you come from some form of upper class." It wasn't so much his style that gave it away but the way he carried himself. He seemed oddly out of place here, almost as if it wasn't his scene.

Their drinks were set down before them. Trael's back was to the bar as he sipped his drink. "You need to do more scouting or just for these ones. We can't deprive your allies after all." Unless Caer wanted more time his plan was to finish his drink and find a mechanic.

”I mean serious failures, such as betrayal and secession. These should be punished with death.” although he still thought that lesser ones should be punished too. They were the Sith and their teachings had a price. The pain was part of the path of those that wanted more power. To change it, they weren’t going to harness the Dark Side anymore.

The Annfyn smirked at Trael, the human was a good observer. “You aren’t wrong in this assumption. I’m really from the upper class.” this was everything that Caerllion would reveal to the other Champion. If the other wanted more details, he would need to ask for it. They could be getting along well, but the Annfyn wasn’t stupid to give information about his personal life to someone that he still barely knew.

Caerllion grabbed his drink, giving a look at it. For a bar like this one, it had a good presentation. The only question that remained was if it would have a good taste. He was approaching the glass to his lips when Trael talked telepathically with him. “I could, but I discovered that there will be two Trandoshans and a human in the spaceport. The others can do it by themselves.” he wasn’t going to steal their fun.

He drank the beverage, noticing that it was surprisingly good. “I saw that there is a nightclub down the street. Do you want to go see if it’s good?” so far, their night had been good and Trael was a good company. Having him around some more wasn’t going to be bad. Besides, he needed new friends. The ones that he had or left the Order or died.

Trael was nodding along to Caer's explanation of his view of execution worthy crimes. Although depending on the circumstances, secession could be acceptable. Though he believed in punishing an apprentice for failing, sometimes simply showing them how far behind they are was better. It was his Masters preferred method of punishing him and it seemed efficient to motivate an individual.

Trael smirked at the confirmation of his guess. He wouldn't pry though as this would leave him open to being questioned as well. Delving into intimate details on his past was something he would rather avoid.

He had taken a sip of his drink when Caer answered his query. "Sounds like your mission is all but accomplished." He still was unsure of the mission details. Especially since he was cut off to the Sith for the last few days. Taking live victims though means some form of experimentation.

"A nightclub eh? Could be worth checking out." He would finish his drink, paying and tipping the bar tender. Walking out to the street with Caer. Looking around the area he could see multiple nightclubs. "Which one was it exactly? I can see three from here." He would lead them closer to where the clubs were.

Caerllion didn’t show, but he was happy that Trael had accepted his offer of going to the nightclub. This had been a long time since he had gone to this type of place, even longer was the time that he went with a friend. Or colleague, he wasn’t sure if he could call the other Champion as a friend yet.

Excellent! It wasn’t far away from here.” the Annfyn said while getting up from his seat. He paid for his drink, before walking out of the bar with Trael. Outside, they were once again welcomed by the nightlife of Nar Shaddaa, which wasn’t something that good. At least the great number of nightclubs made the place look more civilized.

After looking around, Caerllion found the right one. “It’s this one. The Skelgok's Playhouse.” he said, while pointing at the building with a large neon sign. “I heard that it’s the best place of this type on the planet.” which given Nar Shaddaa’s reputation wasn’t something incredible.

He walked with Caer till they got to a large building and Caer pointed it out. "Best on the planet you say? It is definitely worth at least looking inside." Walking in they were greeted with a spacious dancefloor and multiple dancing platforms with stripper poles. A large bar seemed to almost entirely circle the dance floor. With a few openings to get to other areas of the club.

A hostess greeted them, "Hello! Welcome to Skelgok's Palace the premier nightlife experience on Nar Shaddaa. Are you here simply to party or are you wanting to hear about our VIP and group VIP packages?" He turned to Caer, "Well I'm interested in the packages. If you want you can go to the bar and I'll join you once I'm done."

The club was definitely a cut above the rest on the world. Even some of the core and midrim clubs didn't hold a candle to it. It was an elaborate way for it's Hutt patron to both spend and make money. Spice and various other drugs were freely sold by designated droids and the bar had any and all alcohol that was available. There was also a menu for food that can be ordered, but most people were already out of it before it was used.
