OOC Note: Open to Jedi Only or any injured Indies left behind on Kloss

Drast would exit hyperspace some time after the Sith had clapped his friends. Things weren't looking good. For the last hour or so he had replayed the momentary blips of the of an emergency beacon, one that was only moments long before it was silenced. Running the scans, he'd let out a sigh of relief, seeing that the atmosphere was clear. "Kriff guys.. hopefully it's just a case of bad reception.." Lani and Xiann had missed not one, but every single call-in, so now he was willing to receive his Master's ire as he set off to make sure his friends were okay. Cutting through the atmosphere, he would guide his borrowed ship down towards the surface. And that was when his heart sank.

Thick plumes of smoke lifted towards the heavens from various spots surrounding the temple. These were definitely recent. Starting the landing process, he would touch down in a clearing just outside the Temple walls. He could see the ship that Lani and Xiann had taken and that would be his first real stop. Clad in his armor, he would make haste for the ramp, descending it as quickly as it opened.

From where he was exiting, he could see the remnants of Kori's speeder, another horrible sign, just beyond the walls, but before them he noticed a form. A woman. Cursing, he hurried to her side, she was alive but missing part of an arm, thankfully it had been cauterized. "Master Forge.." a gentle hand would rest on her shoulder and give her a slight shake. "Master Forge. C'mon.. you gotta be alive.." he'd say, his visor scanning their surroundings for any signs of trouble.

Deep within the confines of her mind, Vinfry Forge lay curled into a ball, gently cradling the tiny ball of light that was her connection to the light. It warmed her, protected her from the darkness that assaulted her from all sides. It was all she had, she knew with absolute certainty that if that light died then so would she. Or at least the person she had been all her life would die. Whoever emerged would be someone else, someone worse, someone horrible, an anti-thesis to everything she had every believed in.

That thought, that horrifying and yet terrifying possible thought, gave her strength. Strength to push out, to seek...something, anything. What she found were memories, memories of the path that had brought her here. She had to do something, that's what had drawn her here. But what? What was it that she had to do, what was so important that she had let herself be brought here in its pursuit. Nothing, nothing could be worth this? This pain, this terror, this shattered existence. She dug deeper, seeking what it was. She finally saw it, a memory yet fresh in her mind. Yavin, the gathering. Curiosity, that's what had driven her that day. She had wanted to see what the future held for the Jedi, what the next generation of Jedi were worth.

It came back to her then, the children, the future. She had wanted to test them, but also something else. Something more, something important.

Face me, and let the children leave. This is not their fight.

She remembered the words. Brave words. Arrogant words. Foolish words.

It all came back then, the mockery of a fight, the monster that she had faced, the terror it had left her with. She recoiled, sinking deep within herself once more, away from him. But something stopped her, gripping at the edge of her fingers as she withdrew. A young girl, little more than ten, staring at her with desperate eyes. She saw it now, a young girl, a padawan. Terror on her face, her fear evident as she stood inside the small hut. There was chaos outside, flashes of fire visible through the thin walls, screams of pain and terror all around. It scared her, it scared her so. She held onto the figure standing besides her. A Bothan, dressed in the robes of a Jedi. Melan. Jedi Master Host Melan. Her Master. He smiled at the girl, and whispered something to her before rushing outside to help the villagers.

The girl stood gripping her hand, the same hand she had lost. She remembered now. The girl whispered something to her, the same words Melan had said to her all those years ago.

"We are Jedi Vinry, this is what we do. We protect those who cannot protect themselves."

Finally she remembered. The reason she fought, the reason she could not give up, the reason that made it all worth it. She had to protect them. With a shock she came back to consciousness, her body jerking forward as she tried to reach for her blade to fight the Sith. But they were gone, there was only the one figure who was there. A face she recognized from Yavin. No, no no no no no! He couldn't be here, not here. "No, not you. No, not here!" That was all she could manage before her body gave up once more, slipping back into unconsciousness.

They couldn't be here, not while she was like this. She had to protect the children, but she was failing. Once more.

Drast was still gently urging Master Vinry to consciousness, though some of the nudges would get a little bit more force behind them. Then she suddenly came too like a delayed firework, his hand would shoot to the side to catch her as she shot forward. "No, not you. No, not here!" As she slumped again, he'd catch her.

Well, two things occurred in his mind. Either she had already disliked him and this was some kind of deflection moment.. or... she was taking a one-way trip down Trauma Town. "Well Drasty, I have a feeling this is going to be a lot of what today is.." he mused. He would take a chacne to gather up her things then, calling on the Force, he'd lift Vinry into a bridal carry. "Don't worry Master, I got you.." Thankfully, she was pretty light and his ship wasn't that far. So up the ramp he went and strapped into one of the seats she was. "One down, the gods alone know how many left..." He would glance back into the cargo bay, this ship had returned to the Order just after one of their mercy missions so thankfully it still had some medical supplies and cots aboard as well as a singular bacta tank. "You're gonna see a lot of use.."

Heading for the ramp once more, he'd descend it, heading for the smoking Longshot. Passing Lani's speeder, he'd notice two things: The sudden swell of the Dark Side and a pair of what looked like legs crushed underneath it. Sicky. There was a blood trail, but it went off towards the hill. So after he got Lani and Xiann, that would be his next stop. Resuming his jog, he'd wind up at the ramp of their ship, his heart bracing for whatever he found.

Drastus would find the Long Shot resting on its belly. The smoke from the aft had almost ceased, revealing a gaping hole where one of the engines used to be. The cockpit had also been breached; and the ramp leading up the ship was deformed. Although the smoke had cleared out inside, and the fires had died down, the sharp scent remained. There was also something else: a sweet ferrous odor mixed into it. Blood.

The blood had dried up into brown crust covering the metallic floor... And the body lying on top of it. It's indigo hair stuck together; a dark-brown trickle dried up solid on the forehead. Despite that, and the scratches on the cheeks, the Zeltron's face was easily recognizable. Not so much could be said about the rest of her body. The dark-brown leather jacket was tattered by the shrapnel and burnt in some places. The blood crust covered parts of the jacket and pants a well. Lani's right arm rested on the dried-up puddle of blood, twisted at an unnatural angle.

The Zeltron didn't show any sign of movement, just lying next to what had remained of the other part of her swoop bike. The boisterous spark of energy—once Lani's second nature that permeated the surroundings wherever she went—had dwindled to a tiny ember. And even that ember was on the verge of fading away...

A yacht burst from between the stars around Ajan Kloss, the first time it had returned to jungle world since the Sith had attacked and brought the temple low. Long-range scans began immediately as it approached the planet's atmosphere, not long after a Jedi shuttle had itself landed on the surface. Two Jedi emergency beacons had gone off, which was strange because Jedi shouldn't be on Ajan Kloss in the first place, and then cut out. This was generally considered to be a bad sign.

Hannibal streaked down through the atmosphere toward the temple grounds, the yacht coming around to land with the ramp down facing the temple itself. He'd spotted more than one source of wreckage on the way, though the ships were barely recognizable aside from the odd part here and there. The modified shuttle, however, he did recognize. The shuttle currently half wrapped around a tree and gently smoking. Wonderful.

The Jedi Councilor stepped down his ship at speed, followed by a series of probe and medical droids. The former quickly fanned out to begin precision sweeps while the latter carried out stretchers and triage supplies. Hannibal ran forward, just in time to catch Drastus carrying an alarmingly armless Vinry toward his shuttle.

"Why the kriff are you here?" he called, jogging over and then past him toward the burning shuttle. "What part of 'don't go to Ajan Kloss without express permission' is confusing? Why- she's fine just- put her on a stretcher for shrak's sake, carefully. Let the droids handle it." He sped up then. The Dark was still strong here, but not enough to fog his intuition. Checking the ships that were blown to bits was a little pointless- though the probes droids were doing that- but true to where his feet were taking him one of the droids reported bodies in the crashed shuttle.

Black boots skidded on dirt and he turned to look into the confines of the shuttle. Oh, that wasn't good at all. Lani was on the ground, broken, burned, and bleeding. That she hadn't died of shock or exsanguination was probably more luck than not, a result of the burns more than anything.

Hannibal stepped inside and looked around, seeing the second person, a Twi'lek he'd caught sight of once or twice. She looked like shit too. Fantastic. A tattooed hand came down to gently rest on Lani's person, the Force flowing through the Jedi Councilor and into her broken body to help it stabilize, then moved toward Xian to do the same while droids with stretchers were brought over. They'd need attention on the way to a proper facility without a doubt. Frankly Hannibal was surprised they were alive at all based on the damage to the ship, and he suspected they wouldn't stay that way for long unaided.

Oren had returned from the depths of the Jungle. Something terrible had happened on this day, there was a destruction and a sweeping darkness. He had come to Ajan Kloss to say goodbye, but it seemed the force had a cruel fate that twisted the lightsaber wound even further within his heart.

Stepping through the brambles of the bush and towards the location of the temple. He felt the presence, the signature of those he had known before. And that was when he saw Hans, an old time friend. A soft frown formed across his face as his teeth clenched. He could feel the hesitation as his feet dragged along the ashen path.

"Talak needs to know." He'd say as he looked towards the Jedi Councilor who was busy working away on helping what appeared to be wounded Jedi. He thought he saw a glimpse of Vinry, but the former Jedi was not sure. The others were faces he did not recognize. "Lilith died here.. and I want you to know that Nara vanished."

Talak hadn't returned to Kloss after its decimation... like a sane person. But now with the distress beacons that had gone out, Talak had returned. The Nomad actually had a decent set of medical amenities from his days patching himself up as a Sith, and he knew he could help if there were still Sith around. He had no idea what he was in for, but he was prepared for anything.

His ship dropped out of hyperspace and as Artee guided the ship down toward the site of the old temple, Talak booted up the scanners. He picked up a ship he recognized as Hannibal's, the burning wreckage of others, and another ship he didn't recognize that he hoped wasn't Sith. This world was simply thick with darkness, and he knew well how that would obscure the presence of any Sith that might have remained. They would need to be wary.

Before the ship was even landed, Talak had hoisted a pack of medical supplies and made his way to the exit ramp. As soon as the droid had landed, the ramp went down and Talak was descending. The sight wasn't a pleasant one.

There was Vinry who looked to be in bad shape. He could see she was missing an arm, and his own mechanical hand clenched reflexively at the sight. The padawan from the meeting... Drastus was here as well, and Hannibal looked as if he had headed toward the ship. And then there was Oren who looked unscratched.

What are you doing here? he asked as he walked by Drastus (@Rhogar), unknowingly a very similar response to the one Hannibal had made, but actually less confrontational. This really wasn't where Padawans should have been. And... had Oren just stepped out of the jungle? So he'd not come on the second ship? So... he'd been here for whatever happened?

What happened? he asked directly to Oren (@TWD26), not breaking stride toward the ship. It was the first time he'd seen the former Councilor since post-Sullust. He'd missed what Oren had said to Hannibal, but Talak couldn't fathom what iteration of this scenario had seen Oren walk away unscathed.

He made his way quickly inside the wreckage of the ship, seeing Hannibal kneeling over... was that another Padawan!? Kriff, people.

He muttered a curse under his breath as he unslung the pack from his shoulder and started to work on the Twi'lek (@Xian), quickly evaluating her breathing before checking her over for the worst wounds. And it didn't look great. Her breathing was agonal and the crunching below his fingers told him she probably had broken ribs. There were burns on large portions of her body, but her head seemed intact apart from the laceration and contusions. Her right leg was in bad shape as well, but the low level of blood loss from the limb made it a lower priority. Nevertheless, if she didn't get to a medcenter soon she would be in bad shape.

She should live, but only if we get to a medcenter soon, he said to Hannibal (@Mr. Teatime), tearing open a bacta bandage and beginning to lay it over the burned areas.

It seemed like the presence of other Jedi helped push back the dark. The arrival of the padawan Drastus had allowed her to regain consciousness, however briefly, and the the arrival of the others had a similar effect. Their light, so much stronger than any who had faced the Sith hours earlier, pushed back the darkness that was enveloping Vinry's mind. She stirred as the medical droid was pushing the stretcher she had been laid onto, which prompted the droid to stop and begin examining her once more. Her eyes fluttered open, and for a few moments she just lay there, trying to remember where she was.

That's when she heard the voices, familiar voices. There were people nearby, and she knew them. She started pushing herself to her feet, but stumbling when the hand she tried to use to prop herself up refused to show up. That...that was going to take some getting used to. The droid tried to push her back, saying words that she neither heard nor cared for. It took some effort, but she managed to get to a sitting position. The fact that her feet were resting on firm ground helped, she felt some strength return to her as she sat.

She looked around and spotted them, Talak, Master Grayza, and...Oren. She had dreamed a nightmare, that he had been here, that he had fallen as well. But seeing him standing there brought out of sigh of relief. That was one burden to carry. It gave her strength, strength to get to her feet and with the help of the droid begininng moving towards the other Jedi.

"How.." she asked as she got close to the ruined ship, her voice course and barely audible, "how are they? Will they make it?" Everything hurt, making it hard to speak, but she needed to know. She needed to know that she hadn't failed. She looked around, trying to piece together what had happened, to fill the gaps in her memory. She noticed it then, the ruined speeder, the blood, what was left of the other Jedi.

She glanced at Oren, eyes full of emotion. Fear, sorrow, shame, betrayal. "Where...where is he? Is he dead?" She hadn't known him, the one who had been with the padawans. But she had heard his screams, she had sensed his pain. The memories rushed through her, and her legs lost their strength. She fell to her knees, only the prompt intervention of the droid preventing her from crumbling completely. "I was too weak, I couldn't help them." She glanced up at Oren, pain and sorrow drawing tears from her eyes. "Why...why didn't you help?" That was all she could manage, overwhelmed by it all. That was all she could manage.

Xiann felt like she was floating, drifting along a slow flowing river. It was cozy, the feeling of weightlessness flowed through her like the river flowed through the trees on either side. She looked up at the mostly clear blue sky, the odd fluffy cloud passing over the star, it’s shade bringing a refreshing coolness before the warmth of the light engulfed her once again. As she relaxed and let the river take her where it willed, she wondered when the last time she felt this content was. Or if she had ever felt this way before at all.

She wondered where the river was taking her, but as long as the journey felt like this she didn’t care. But as she watched the clouds go by, she noticed them steadily becoming thicker, darker and blocking the light for longer. The chill of the shade only grew as the river she floated in began to cool as well. The pleasantly journey rapidly turned against her as the flow of the river became faster and steadily more turbulent. As the Twi’lek thrashed around barely able to stay afloat she was thrown against rock after rock, the current now seeming to claw at her, trying to pull her under.

Panic started to really grip her as she heard a roaring sound. The sound of water rushing over an edge. She glanced downstream and saw the edge, rushing towards her. And all too soon she was thrown over, the water quickly disappearing into darkness. Falling through the darkness the feeling of weightlessness returned, but this time it was far from relaxing. Instead it felt like being held up by something unseen. Terror Began to wrap around her insides as she could feel something sharp pierce her skin. Then again. And again. Something slashing at her as she fell until just as suddenly as it started, it stopped.

Xiann suddenly felt her weight take hold, she was truely falling now. As she slowly span as she feel, something appeared below her. A ship. The Longshot. It was busted to hell and back, full of holes and billowing smoke. As she accelerated towards it, she could see inside through what used to be the cockpit. The destroyed remains of her loyal droid scattered across the floor, laying next to another person. She realised moments before slamming into the body, it was her.

Xiann awoke with a jolt, she gasped to draw in a lungful of air, her first mistake. Instead of her chest being filled with the air she desperately wanted instead it was filled with searing white hot pain, causing her to open her mouth to scream, but only managed a whimper. She tried to open her eyes, but they resisted. Her left fought to open breaking the layer of dried blood over it, her right however fought to stay closed. Sending more spikes of pain every time she tried until she gave up, one eye would do.

There was someone in front of her, a blurry outline she didn’t recognise. She instinctively tried to push them away with her left arm, but the only strength she had made it seem like she was trying to stroke them instead. As her vision started to clear up, she still didn’t recognise the man but there was another next to him. One she did recognise, sort of. It looked like one of the Masters from the temple. Had someone got a beacon off to send for help? She looked to the one she recognised and tried to speak, her voice broken, hoarse and barely audible, “L...La...Lani…” Was all she could manage before the searing pain brought her focus back to herself. Trying to steady her breathing ‘Stay awake Xiann. Just stay awake.’ If she could just stay out of Death’s viewq a little longer, the others could do the rest.

Well it seemed that what ever had happened with the Temple had became clearer, having kept pretty much out of sight and to a degree far enough away to have gotten dragged into the confrontation. The spacer had once she was certain that the coast was clear, started to move out away from the hiiden trails within the undergrowth and back out into the open. Venturing first back to her ship, that had remained seemingly far away enough to warrant any attention from the fighter that had been tearing around the sky's above and causing the earlier explosions - that or the ship was that much of a junker it looked little different from the collection of abandoned Resistance Era ships that rotted away in the jungles. Much to her annoyance, and not to her surprise her crew mate was no where to be seen. The little buzz droid had buggered off, presumably to go wreck something that she shouldn't have. Pursing her lips in thought, the spacer moved to the front of her ship, sweeping through the interior to see if the buzz droid was still on board. Coming to the obvious conclusion, the spacer made her way back down to the cargo hold, picking up her heavy blaster rifle and slinging it over her shoulder - just in case.

Stopping at the end of the bay, the spacer looked over towards the crates that she had originally intended to drop off to the Jedi. Though it seemed for all her latest movements, it was now clear that she had not gotten the update from Kori about a change in address. Grabbing one of the foot locker sized containers, the spacer hoisted it onto her cybernetic shoulder, before making her way down the ramp and off the ship.

Venturing back through the forests, Eisa made her way towards where most of the commotion had occurred in the outskirts of the temples grounds. Not quite certain what she would find, though she was somewhat suspecting that the sight won't be a pleasant one. Sure enough as she broke through the tree line and into the chaotic scene of bodies and smoking wreckage. It became clear.

From what she could figure the ones that were still walking and moving about were Jedi. Most of them, even the wounded she hadn't seen before. Baring Talak having been introduced to him by Maxims the last time she had turned up on the Jedi World. Like the others he clearly was busy and had enough on his plate to deal with, so the spacer approached briefly, dropping down the container. "There's some basic medical provisions in there, I won't add it to Purp's tab this time" Eisa spoke out, once she had set down the container.

Stepping away from the Jedi, knowing that for the best part she wasn't going to be much use for now. After all she couldn't recall much of Master Harry's training on using the Force to heal, it was more likely she even avoided those lessons altogether - seeing them as dull and boring.

Now all that was left to do was track down her crewmate, finding a little buzz droid amidst the chaos and wreckage would normally be an easy task. Given Curse would so often be standing atop of it with a triumphant gleam on her optics. But seeing as the droid was no where to be seen and not bragging, meant something had happened.

"Two of my friends came despite my pleas for them not to.." Drast would say to Hans. He would drop to his knees beside Lani, waiting for the droids to arrive with the stretchers and when he spoke, it was only loud enough for her to hear, his voice a whisper. His friends were broken and he couldn't help but feel at fault for it.

Talak would arrive and at his words, a blurry eyed Drast would look up at the Master. "Them..." his gaze would lower before he helped the droids get Lani onto the stretcher, carefully. He would direct some of the droids to remove the tank from his shuttle and bring it aboard Hans' yacht. Once Lani was loaded up onto the yacht he would double back for Xiann. There was so much light around him, but all he could focus on was the darkness. He couldn't lose his friends.

As he hurried back to the shuttle, he'd see Vinry back on her feet, this time talking to Oren. Oren? Didn't he leave the Order? Then he heard her question to the man and he nearly stopped in his tracks. The coward. He had the power to help, to save. And he didn't. He could feel the Dark Side swelling, pulling at his anger and he would quickly push it down, perhaps aided by those around him. Or maybe it was just from duty alone?

Resuming his gait, he would reach Masters Grayza and Rand. "Lani has been loaded on the yacht, Master Grazya.." his voice was low, full of worry for his friends and underlined with anger towards Oren. "Tell me how I can help.. please."

Hannibal's intervention was sorely needed. As his hand rested on Lani and sent a warm pulse of the Force into her body, the Zeltron's rasp and erratic breathing quietened down. The life energy that had been seeping away from the Padawan might have been replenished, but something else happened. Lani remained alive for the moment; but that last ember of boisterous energy that one might've sensed in her faded away. The change was subtle: no louder than a whisper in a marketplace on a busy day; not obvious to anyone but the Councillor... But it was there.

As Drastus helped to load the still unconscious Zeltron body onto the stretcher, something slipped out of her hand and fell onto the ground with a loud thud and rolled to the side, echoing throughout the wrecked shuttle. Something Drastus might have been familiar with. Needless to say, the Zeltron wouldn't say a word or react to any outside stimuli. Only quiet hissing breaths through the nose indicated that she remained alive.

Hannibal nodded in reply to Talak's assessment, deep in work mode. He was never more of a Jedi than in situations where another life hung in the balance for some reason or other and this was different. Lani and Xiann both were not doing too well but they were still alive yet.

Droids arrived and placed down a stretcher that Drastus helped Lani onto while Hannibal moved back over to Xiann, a hand coming down to gently touch her shoulder. Feather-light and barely there at all, but the Force followed his intention and blew gentle breaths across the sputtering coals that were her grip on life. She'd still need care, of course, but it would hopefully prevent an errant movement or bit of panic from throwing her into shock. Especially now that she was awake.

"Don't worry," he spoke softly, the truth of his words carried along with the sound, "We have her." Droids would help move her as well and emerald eyes turned to Drastus. "Help the droids, follow their instructions. Bones- the 2-1B on board- knows what to do." He offered a firm pat of the shoulder and pushed him on his way.

"Be there for them when they need you. That's what Jedi are for."

His gaze turned away from the ship and he stepped from the wreckage, where a familiar voice had come from. He'd been busy when it spoke and he rather thought dying children held a higher level of priority, but he'd caught the words just fine. His feet carried him toward the man who'd emerged from the jungle thicket, eyes narrowing almost imperceptivity.

But first, Vinry. "They should be alright with care," he answered her without stopping his walk forward.

"May she find peace in death," the Jedi Master said first, referring to Lilith. Her death was sad, and she would be missed by those who knew her, but they would move on just as she had.

Hannibal's fate set into something distinctly edging on thunderous. Oren was of course here, and distinctly uninjured, and what Vinry said implied he'd been around for whatever else had happened as well.

"What happened here, Oren?"

Well if there ever was a time for a more convincing argument to get Curse fitted with a tracking device could be made, now was certainly the time! Whilst the spacer's initial thoughts for the advantages was for when the little troublesome buzz droid had ignored its orders and decided to run off to trash something, they were often pushed back as it was seldom too difficult to track down Curse owing to the trail of destruction that was left in the droid's wake, or even the sound of distant commotion and shouting - this however was certainly not in keeping with the usual cat an mouse chase, as there was no clear signs of destruction that pointed towards Curse, sure there was totalled ships, but that was down to the star fighter that had been harassing the Jedi ships.

Having the little buzz droid fitted with a tracker would have certainly made finding her much easier and quicker, not to mention it would have alleviated the worry greatly. Since dropping off the medical supplies with the Jedi, and leaving them to their own devices, the fiery haired spacer was starting to feel that she was going round in circles throughout the ruined grounds of the fallen Jedi temple, it seemed that no matter where she looked she couldn't see head nor tail or of the Buzz droid. Usually if the droid was deliberately avoiding her, Curse would still let out a mischievous little chitter now and then - but even with the aural sensors in her cranial implant she could hear all the little bugs and creatures, but there was nothing that sounded like her crew mate.

"Come on bud, this ain't funny! Where the Kriff are you hiding" the Spacer called out, as she walked along the the perimeter wall of the temple compound. Her hand hovering over her blaster pistol side arm, just as a mater of precaution, even though it seemed that the danger had passed something just didn't sit too well with her - she just didn't like the atmospherics. Furrowing her brow, the spacer sighed as she looked around her current surroundings, she could see the remaining traces of the recent Sith attack around her up close. Lightsaber burns through stone walls, the remnant scaring of fire or lightning or something that left carbon burns on the surface. Clearly the threat of the Sith to the Galaxy was much more serious than she had even bothered to show concern towards, though she could imagine the likes of Master Har telling her I told you so right now, in some form of long winded lecture.

Sighing as she moved away, dismissing the memory of the Jedi Master's lecturing the spacer put her attention back towards finding her crewmate. Walking along the path that she guessed was in the general direction of where the second ship had lifted up from, if Curse wasn't anywhere to be seen near the ships that been blown up, it would only be logical that Curse would have set her beady little photo receptors on the other ship.

Whilst at first she had hoped that the little buzz droid hadn't gotten herself trapped on the ship when it departed, the sight that befell her did make her reconsider. "Oh Curse...." Eisa sighed, as she spotted the charred and limp form of her crew mate. "What have you done now?" she questioned, as she knelt down beside the dormant droid. Picking up the limp frame and turning the droid over, watching in dismay as the droid's little spider like appendages dangled loosely, before the Spacer slung the droid over her shoulder, and making her way back towards her ship.

The trek back to her ship had been a long but purposeful one, whilst she figured it would be a longshot, there may be a chance to try and get the little droid back up and running - it just required her having the technical know how for how droids worked, Curse was more than likely Karked at this point. Once she had gotten back into her ship, the spacer had made her way through the cargo hold towards the work bench, setting her crew mate down, before moving to the cargo container that Spares had been stuffed into - figuring that perhaps a 3PO droid might have some compatible components to at least get the little droid to reboot and power back up.

Without having too much of a clue, and pinning everything on blind luck and rather simplistic logic - blue cables that looked like they went into a power core, surely must go into ports where there were blue cables going into the back of Curse's processor unit... well she assumed it was the processor unit, since the last time she plugged the leads into a socket she had to jump back to get clear of the small circular saw that started spinning. Scratching at the back of her head, the spacer pursed her lips in thought as she took in the sight of the complete mess of parts and jumper cables that littered the work bench bridging Curse's systems with those of Spares - perhaps it would have been best to take Curse to the nearest Droid Depot rather than attempting to try and fix her crew mate herself.

"Right third times the charm" Eisa sighed as she reached over with her cybernetic hand to flip over the power switch at the back of the 3PO unit's torso casing.

As Eisa flipped the switch there were a few moments of silence before the droid's red photoreceptors flickered back to life. Immediately the Pistoeka's limbs tensed up, clutching desperately to the table as it looked around. Curse was uncharacteristically quiet, remaining perfectly still as she surveyed her surroundings and tried to process her situation. From her perspective time had stopped moving the moment she shut down, and the stark difference between the jungle and the interior of the Rim Hopper was confusing. In the past even when shutting down to recharge her batteries the droid had remained tangentially aware of her surroundings through low level warning sensors. This was the first time in over ten years she had experienced something like this, not since the last time she had been given a memory wipe.

Slowly the droid started to move, getting up and looking around the cluttered workbench. She couldn't move very far with all the cords attached, so she largely remained in one spot as she observed her surroundings. A quick diagnostic indicated most of her systems were still critically damaged. She would require extensive repairs before being back to 100% operating capacity. As far as she could tell, it was a miracle that her processing unit was salvageable at all with the damage it sustained. As it was, she was aware that the slightest bit of damage could potentially irreparably destroy her droid brain. She would lose everything.

As a response the droid slowly lowered herself back down to a resting position on the bench to as not risk damaging her internal components any further. She found herself immensely distressed over how close she had come to being completely destroyed. She had pushed her luck many times in the past, but it was rare she was so acutely reminded of how fragile her model was. She would need to make adjustments to her behavior at once to correct this problem. Still she wondered at what point she had become so reckless? In the years following her separation from her old master she had been very cautious. What had changed?

Finally she took notice of Eisa, turning slightly to look over the organic. //I suffered an unexpected shut down.// She addressed her in a very formal fashion. //Several components require maintenance and four replacement. Currently operating at 6% capacity.//

"Thank Kriff I'm glad that worked" Eisa spoke with a relieved sigh escaped the spacers lips as finally those little red eyes flickered back into life, for someone so technologically inept, she was both impressed that she hadn't melted the droids circuits, but more so elated that there was still some sign of life within her troublesome crew mate. Watching intently as the buzz droid shifted about awkwardly, Eisa refrained from getting too close, uncertain on whether what ever damage thar had been inflicted upon her crew mate had triggered a hard reset of her programming or activated a self preservation mode that would cause her try and attack the spacer.

Her lips pursing as she tried to get a read on Curse, as difficult, if not impossible as it was to sense a droids mood. The spacer had come to recognise the various behavioural quirks enough to tell if the buzz droid was excited, sulking or simply plotting something! All Eisa could liken Curse to now, was a wounded animal, limping about and completely dejected.

A saddened sigh emanated from the fire head as Curse spoke out, in a formal manner of all things! She didn't like how this seemed to be going, it was painful enough as it was to see and watch Curse in this state - but for the droid to be devoid of her usual cheek and back chat, well it left a bitter feeling. Offering her crew mate a warm affectionate smile, Eisa patted the outer shell casing with her organic hand. "It's OK bud.. You're home and safe now" the Spacer spoke, before carefully tidying up the mess of cable looms that kept the two droid system's bridged. "I'll get you the nearest droid depot as soon as I can, but till then just try take it easy for now" she added before pursing her lips for a brief moment - then proceeding to adjust and swing a few helper clamps around to better secure the casisings of both Curse and Spares in place. Figuring that it would protect the buzzdroid from any turbulence that might break or shake something important loose.

"Can you remember anything that happened?" Eisa inquired as she leant down against the work top, lowering herself down more to prevent the droid from over exerting herself.

Curse recoiled slightly from Eisa's touch, her shell casings pulling themselves in a bit to avoid the spacer's palm. The droid didn't respond to her immediately, instead watching quietly as she started tidying up the desk. She didn't mean to cause Eisa any distress, but was far too concerned with ensuring her own safety at the moment to care about giving offense. Without being able to get a proper look at her internal components she had no way of knowing if something important was hanging lose, ready to break under the slightest pressure.

After making some more room for the Pistoeka Eisa leant down to look Curse directly in the photoreceptors. "Can you remember anything that happened?" She asked. That was simple enough. After all, for the droid only a little over a minute or two had passed since her unfortunate accident. And her memory banks seemed to still be in serviceable condition. Even so, the buzz droid hesitated a few moments before answering.

//After you left the ship I disembarked as well for... well you know.// A hint of her usual atypical speech pattern started to return but she still remained fairly mechanical in her recounting of events. //While moving through the jungle I identified three organics in dark dress. I attempted to avoid them but they spotted me. One of them used the Force, I think, to restrain me and then inflict the aforementioned damage via electric shock, resulting in total system shutdown.// She still wasn't certain if it was the Force that had been used on her. It was something she only barely understood after all, but she couldn't find any other explanation for what had happened. None that seemed plausible to her anyway. //I suggest we leave immediately. Disregarding any circumstances that may have changed since my deactivation, I do not believe we have the armaments necessary to terminate them.//

The Spacer's lips curled up into a grimace, baring her teeth at the description that her crewmate had provided for her recollection of what had lead to her be found in such a damaged state. The use of the Force to restrain the droid was one thing that even the Jedi would employ, afterall it was how she had first prevented the little droid from fleeing the scene of the crime on their first meeting after Curse had completely wrecked the Rim Hopper's engine. But the electricity was more enough of the confirmation to her suspicions she had needed, whilst at first glances the devistation wrought on the Jedi temple would have likely in the Spacer's mind be caused by the Sith, she wasn't exactly going to jump to the obvious conclusion of it being because of the Jedi's proverbial boogie man, after all she had ran deep enough into the shady underworld to have learnt that the Jedi weren't exactly liked by all - there was enough of a chance that it could have been carried out by a better and well organised force of pirates or raiders.

But the use of electricity, more presumably Force lightning was a key signifier of the Sith, or a darksider at the very least. A groan escaped Eisa's lips as she mused it over for a moment before turning her attention back to her crewmate, as the droid aired her suggestion to leave immediately. "The Jedi are here, but you are right we better get the Kriff out of dodge, I ain't got the skills they do for fighting a Sith, not any more" Eisa spoke out as she looked away from the droid and down to her cybernetic arm, sure she had once been a trained padawan, but that was years ago and also before she had lost her arm and partial strength of her legs. She could hold her own against crime and war lords, but against a Sith... Kark no!

"I'll get us airborne shortly, we'll hit up Yaga Minor, should only be a couple of hours Jump away from here, big ol ship breaking planet, they're bound to a few spare buzz droid parts kicking about" the spacer spoke, as she finished securing her crewmate in place, taking as much care as possible to ensure that everything was held securely as it presently was, after all Curse at this moment was operating, she figured it would be best that so long as curse stayed put as she was, then the buzz droid would survive the travel to their next port of call.

As for their destination, it was to the spacer one of the more logical destinations for her to head to, where else other than a dedicated ship breaking planet, would you find droids that were designed to cut up and break down ships for parts. Once she was satisfied that Curse was safely stowed and secured, the Spacer made her way to the cockpit and powered up her engines. Even if the Sith had disapeared following their attack, Eisa was going to guess that it would only be a matter of time that they would sniff out the Jedi presence here, so it was perhaps best they buggered off pretty sharpish. Punching in the co-oridinates into her nav computer, before proceeding to follow through with the rest of the preflight sequence, closing up and sealing the Rim Hopper, powering up the shields - having figured that by the time the ship had lifted off and broke through the atmosphere into the void of space the calculations would be completed and they can make the jump to hyperspace the moment they made it into space.
