I would stick to your plan about either roaming enclaves, or just roaming Jedi. I don't think Jedi need locations at this point, as you know. That being said, utilizing Paradise Sanctuary on and off isn't a bad idea. Not as a template or permanent location, but if a Jedi ever finds themselves in need of protection or going into hiding, they could be welcomed into the sanctuary.

Yeah, I want to keep to being enclave free for a while. I don't mind setting a type of an alliance with them, but to trust the safety of a mass amount of Jedi in one location would really ICly make the GM nervous especially after Anoth.

Also, Amy, you can start the Arbra evacuation. I suggest taking silverwing's and Emerald Iris' characters.

Also I was working on revising the training guidelines, but I don't think I backed it up. However, I took out the trials stuff and in the part about lightsaber forms and powers, I made powers into a separate bullet point adding six or so major FP (telekinesis, jump, sense, speed, stealth, and whatever else was listed as core on Wookieepedia).

Thoughts on that?

So, it would be a summary of what powers they need to have? Did we have this before? It sounds familiar.

No, we didn't have it before, I just thought maybe holding a specific list will make it less overwhelming for members and they could know specifically what we look for in FP.

I find this arrangement agreeable
for to ease the seeds of doubt from our jedi, fair
and the other bird that will kill with this stone
shall be the decline of common questions.

Such a simple idea!
Yet, thy mind wanders why it twas not done before.

I also had an edit writeup for the archives. That I know I saved for sure. I tried to put it on googledrive, but uploading the stupid thing caused my computer to crash at the time, so when I get access to a computer I will just transfer files.

You know how I was saying the Jedi are all over the place? When Jedi Master characters dive into threads and have their second post being mercilessly decapitating five enemy combatants, I'm forced to stop, ask myself, "How is that Jedi-like?" [LINK]

After taking a moment to re-read all the Jedi literature, i've come to the conclusion that it simply isn't. Especially without even the hint of effort written into the character respecting life (dat line in the jedi code).

I know you guys don't think the Eight Fold path should be mandatory for the Jedi - and to an extent, I agree. Especially with Padawan->Knight promotions. But i definitely think it should be required knowledge (and demonstrated) by Master-level characters.

The expectation is that Master-level characters contribute in more ways than sating their own stories, by hosting classes, or training characters who aren't their 'designated' padawans. It is also expected that they are Masters, their outlook, their philosophy should be in such a manner that is nearly above reproach.

Anyway.

Just thought you guys should know that one of your Jedi Masters (who doesn't host classes) is running around Cuthbern decapitating pirates without even looking towards rendering them unconcious, or detaining them, etc.

/exitstageright.

I told Cassa we will be looking into this. I will give it a better read through when I get home.

Cass is describing that as a problem, but isn't that what you want right now? Isn't this meant to be an era where the Jedi are losing who they really are? I would think it is, so I don't think what Cass is seeing is a problem.

I am not sweating it, overall I don't believe it's an issue, an isolated incident. I give Weiss credit for stepping up his game and looking to do more to help the Jedi in order to keep his Master rank. I haven't read through the thread in which he sees this, but Cassa has been hyper critical of the eightfold path and the Jedi Masters I have promoted in general lately.

Along with what you said though Bac, it does keep true to the Jedi making questionable choices for the time.

EDIT: ok, after reading it through there wasn't anything I am at all concerned about.

So I'm working on a few storyline ideas with a few of the factions and I wanted to see what you guys felt were needed.

Right now I'm working with the Rebels with a potential Mandalorian storyline, also with the Empire on being the enemies to that. However I feel remissed to involve the Jedi in something.

I was telling GABA a few weeks ago about involving the Jedi in the Cartel once again, but not against each other, but with each other. Addipos, a character I've yet to complete....., is basically an ancient Hutt who is a collector of ancient artifacts, most namely of Gree origin and other ancient civilizations that would interest the Jedi. I have three missions in particular I want to have:

1: Recovering this ancient Gree datacron (predate holocrons) with information of Gree space and how to operate the Hypergates and other ancient technology. It'll take place in this black market. (This will lead the Jedi with a way back into Tython later on)

2: Obtaining a cache of ancient Jedi Holocrons and artifacts (your choice on what is in it) Ideally I want it to take place on Myrkr, but IIRC it's on the list of banned planets - so maybe one of you admins could get an approval on that? Or you guys could decide another planet for it to be on. Cerea would be a good spot too as the Jedi have some traction in that planet already. This will also probably involve a Sith opponent too as to make it more interesting.

3: Uncovering an ancient Star Map on Ryloth that'll be off-limits, but will be eventually revealed to be a star map for the locations of the resting Tho Yor throughout the galaxy. For all intents and purposes though the star map will be claimed to be the location of some ancient technology or whatever to cover the time we'll need to convince Brandon to let us use them. And even if it gets denied we can turn it into something the Jedi could still use.

Anyway, I think the Jedi's storyline should really revolve around the Force and the imbalance that is occurring rather than all the whole trying to rebuild temples. The most important of which should be Tython, both in the imbalance and Jedi Temples. It's water's were poisoned and the planet itself is going crazy again IIRC. What better storyline to move forward than to return to the homeworld of the Jedi and fix it? I'm not saying directly after the three missions are completed, but at least lay the groundwork for the future when we are capable of doing it. Once the Empire and the Rebels are openly fighting, I think the Jedi would get more leeway to return to the planet and heal it, most notably the Grandmaster!!!!!

Anyway, you see I've mentioned Tho Yor, Gree Hypergates, and ancient Jedi Holocrons/artifacts. All really old stuff I think the Jedi will eventually need. I don't know what Brandon might have planned for the site's storyline, but I really think it should involve the rest of the Jedi Order too at some point.

SO! In closing, please get back to me and let me know what you guys would like to see and what you don't like. This is only one of a few good dozen ideas I got in my head, but again, I want to work with you guys to see what you'd like to see out of the Jedi so that I can begin working out some potential storyline ideas. We can go the cross-faction route, or we can focus solely on building the Jedi back up.

So, I kind of need Brandon's input on this stuff since this deals with Tython and the Tho Yo. Can we touch on something like this or do you want it to keep reserved to the legacies storyline?

First instinct is to say no. You know why so I won't elaborate.

I'll mull it over some more before deciding whether to officially say no or not.
