And if not we can still work on building up our camaraderie and IC friendships.

I agree we can at least work on this part if noting else. Like Band of Brothers, except star wars style.

Just wondering something. Does the Rebellion have an asteroid base, and if it does, I was thinking we could add it as a sub forum.

We do have an asteroid base, but no we will not be adding a new subforum. I absolutely detest all the unnecessary sub-subforums, and in fact will be doing away with many of them. Instead we intend to create a single "bases" subforum containing the writeups for all of our major bases.

I think some no-kill skirmishes between Imperial Army (not Sith) and non-FS rebels might make be fun. Insurgent hit and runs, Imperial crackdowns, etc.

Yep. Vergesso has a small shipyard, hangars, labs, nightclub, etc. I've no idea what is operational.

The Jedi would like to request 2-ply toilet paper when they visit the rebels. single ply is too cheap and doesn't get the job done.

The Rebels would like to suggest that the Jedi toughen up and fold it over twice like the rest of us. Use the Force if you have to.

To expand on what commander Perth suggested, I humbly suggest the Jedi not be little bitches. Raw nether regions are the mark of hard men and women.

If somebody does have an idea of what's up with this place, what it contains or has running, anything that's been established there or (even better) the RP's related to securing or rebuilding the place, please PM them to me. Extra point if you get together a write-up for the place to help ease my workload.

For some reason, there is very little in the way of records on some of these bases.

I think some no-kill skirmishes between Imperial Army (not Sith) and non-FS rebels might make be fun. Insurgent hit and runs, Imperial crackdowns, etc.

I would be more than happy to work with my Imperial counterparts to support and facilitate this type of thing. My suggestion to you guys would be to find an IAF or Rebel roleplayer you would like to write against and work out a plan to present the idea to your AFL, whoever that may be. So long as it's agreeable to both factions and things are kept friendly, I'm all for it. My suggestion would be to keep things very small scale, and try to avoid doing anything that would be a major blow to one faction or the other or bring a planet into disarray.

Something I've been considering for the imperium as well

I've felt for some time that things are far too easily lost within the sub-sub-sub-sbuforum system we've got in place. Especially when I'm on my phone, it's very easy to forget that whole sections of this site even exist, and even harder to find whatever it is I may be looking for. On top of that, some of them go dis- or even totally un-used for months or years at a time.

VERGESSO ASTEROID BASE ENCLAVE

VABEnclave_zpsa38fc790.png

The Vergesso Asteroid Base Enclave is equipped with several key wings: Life Support, Defense, accommodation, amenities, mess hall, armoury, storage areas, command area, staging area, docks, escape bays, engineering, medical, scientific and recreational. A large number of these systems have been rendered completely offline by either battle damage or neglect over the course of the years.

The life support, storage and amenities area are all grouped together which allows any personnel access to food, water, air, and other essential needs. The life support area of the ship is responsible for not only production of oxygen and recycling of carbon dioxide by using scrubbers, but it also houses a greenhouse which produces a wide variety of edible vegetables and fruits. The water recycling part of the ship operates on a distilling process, evaporating the water from any liquid waste, and compacts the remaining nitrates into fertiliser cubes which are then used to aide in the growth of the life support greenhouse.

The command, staging, engineering and escape areas are located directly next to the docks, which allow for easy preparation for missions tasks, and in the event of attack, escape. The command centre houses the console which operates the sensor net which lines the asteroid belt, allowing the base' occupants time to either power down, or to escape.

Between the two primary areas are the base's "communal" areas which include the accommodation, recreation, and market areas. The accommodation is quite simple; barracks style beds with ablution blocks. Each room catering to four guests. The market area is a large room, originally what would have been a storage area, or disused hangar, that contains dozens of stalls from the remnants of a market that was set up that earned revenue by retailing goods ranging from foodstuffs to weapons, armaments, armour, drugs, alcohol, and on the rare occasion, even horticultural products. Since the Retrade’s dissolution by the Hutt Cartel, the market has been left in a state of disrepair, with some products even being left behind. The recreation area of the base houses a gym, arcade, and several bars - a typical pub style establishment, a nightclub, and a few other smaller places.

As the asteroid belt is forever in a field of flux it is difficult to predict where the base is in the field at any point in time. As a result of this, access is difficult unless you are given specific permission. The name of the group betrays their home system, though again thanks to the fluctuating nature of the asteroid belt, it is difficult to pin down the precise location without doing active scans, which would be detected by the base's sensor system. Difficult, but not impossible, the base's security measures having been toned down considerably since Retrade days. Pilots approaching the VAB are asked to be conscious of other ships in the system that might be observing their movements.

Important Info:

Ten years of neglect is a long time, as such, certain areas of the base are powered down with limited or no access at all. These areas are:

Armory (Limited access, you can get in, but the weapon cages with Praxus weaponry are locked until a key can be found or the cages dismantled by hand [aka, until the tech is reapproved from archive])
Suit Room (Offline. Security software corruption means it will take some time to gain access)
Market (Powered down)
Livestock Exports (Offline)
Greenhouse (Partially inaccessible. Heavily overgrown)
Hangar Bay 2 (Powered down, inaccessible)
Defense (Offline)
Shipyard (Not an actual physical part of the base, but offline due to lack of materials needed to operate)

The VAB has a fair amount of weaponry and tech leftover in it from the days of the Retrade. The full asset list is as follows:
5 HRM ST03 HARM suit (Locked away in the suit room)
7 DSO NV-1 Pressure Suit (Locked away in the suit room)

1 J-15B Aethersprite class Fighter (Locked in Hangar 2)
1 Haranov Gunship (Locked in Hangar 2)
1 Copperhead Assault Shuttle (Locked in Hangar 2)

The VAB used to have 12 KLOWN MkII droids as base security. However due to a decade of neglect, they are in such a state of disrepair/smashed by debris that only the most basic tech and scrap metal can be salvaged from them.

In addition, the VAB has:
20 assorted protocol/task droids
80 Shipbuilding droids

Considering that it's my hyperactive Rodian engineer that gave it to you guys, I feel guilty for not doing more with it.

Who wants to do some remodeling? As per This Old Base, it's fully stocked with all the basic supplies that repairs need.

If someone wants to start working on the place I'd be more than happy to see it done. I'll have to go through the writeup and maybe do a little work- plus posting the write-up in our own forum, but I'll get to all of that at a later date...

Uhhh, the missions board is totally up to date right now. If there's not an in-progress link (with very few exceptions, ie; Bespin) it's fair game.

Sorry guys, I've been losing my mind here the last week or so, but I'm trying to at least get things in order before I go out of town, so I can get on top of thigns when I get back. I'm going to list some of the ongoing concerns I know about, and I want you guys to throw out anything you think I may have forgotten or overlooked. Right now I'm tracking:

-Board restructuring slow-down
-Bounty Board Updates
-Missions posts (I owe Ral and Hira a post in Guard Duty STILL), I'd like an update on where everyone is at with the missions they have going. GET SHIT FINISHED

Hey fellow rebels I have a question that been bothering me lately. Why is it that the OLR group gets to have a small series of missons against the Empire while the Rebellion as a whole doesn't gets do something similar?

Don't get me wrong I understand other groups have the same right to do so but we aren't suppose to be to fighting the Empire too? Yes we have to do stuff that will advance the group but the truth is we lose much of our intial momentum a lot of times during those types of missions. So now this Operation Liberation Rainbow seems to have came into being as a result of that.

One of the most interesting things about OLR, and a big reason why people like it (IMO), is because of the freedom it provides. It's not top down. It lets everyone kinda do what they want as long as it passes the smell test.

So I would turn your question around on you.

What kind of mission do you want to do?

You can think something up and pitch it. You don't need to wait for anyone else to do it for you.
