No one was winning any cinematography awards for this broadcast. The camera was grainy (and ten years out of date) and the camera operator was more used to handling a blaster and it showed in the footage. But this wasn't about looking pretty - this was about messaging, pure and simple.
Telly Udon was standing, tired but resolute, in a stolen Imperial shuttle, holding stolen Imperial weapons and fiddling with a stolen Imperial officer's cap. Behind him, a certain donut droid (@Chewy ) could be seen walking around.
"My name is Telly Udon and I'm with the Resistance. My team and I are recording this on a stolen Imperial shuttle. We have just returned from raiding their facilities on Raxus Prime. We sabotaged their precious shipyards with explosions, we stole their precious military supplies from their own base and we lived to tell the tale. Raxus Prime is right on their own front door and they were powerless to stop us!" Telly said, finding his voice more and more with each word. He cleared his throat and his image would be replaced with some shaky footage from Raxus Prime - walkers being fired upon, garbage heaps burning even more than usual, and a distant image taken from the shuttle cams of the Imperial shipyard trying to put out multiple fires.
"My whole life has been spent fighting idiots who think they can tell everyone else what to do. I fought Grievous on Utapau. I fought the Empire in the Galactic Civil War. And right now, I see the same kind of idiots in the Empire and the Sith. They're not invincible and they are not as smart as they think they are - they just let an old geezer spit in their face and walk away." Telly continued, pointing to himself to make it clear who the geezer in question was.
"Anyone who wants to teach them a couple lessons is welcome to join us. We have gear for you." Telly finished, pointing to a crate of stolen Imperial blasters. He ended the transmission and instructed his men to broadcast to both the Holonet and any underground comms systems and channels that might be brave enough to show it. He hoped the messaging resonated and that it would lead to a surge in Resistance recruitment numbers. The Force knew they needed them.
