Rawl Watch Armor

A common armor setup rather than a specific suit, Rawl Watch Armor refers to the Mandalorian armor used by orthodox Rook clan members. They implemented environmental and extravehicular functions in their armors for survival purposes first before offensive systems like wrist blasters or flame projectors that other Mandalorians use.

The armor differs from other Rook clans historically remembered which have shown grey with purple and yellow markings. Instead the colors associated with the fighting corps were predominantly used or otherwise unique color schemes became more frequent. A warrior's own armor, both its color scheme and outfitting would evolve as the wearer grew. This was both because of the traditions but also necessity and limited equipment.

An armorweave underlayer and/or cloak is one of the common features of the armor as well. Most Rook clan members wear cloaks of unqiue deisgn. A mix of Death Watch influences, clan Vizsla and Rook can all be seen as having their influences on the somewhat uniform armor. Most armor is made from durasteel plates but segmented pieces are often made of duraplast plates.

LEGALITY

Mandalorian armor, though rare, is not illegal in most places. That said, wearing a full face helmet in public spaces is frowned upon, and often illegal in many core worlds, especially in or near government facilities- not to mention that many identification cards in various systems require a full face photo. This drives many strict adherents of "the way" to operate exclusively on the fringes of the galaxy.

INTENT

A Mandalorian armor design associated with a certain group in my character's history.

RESTRICTED TECH
It's Mandalorian armor associated with a particular group lore-wise but other than that it isn't really restricted.

Functions

Function 1: Scout HUD
  • Scout HUD - Contains a 4x magnifier and Compass.
  • Force User Compatible?: Yes
Function 2: Mag-boots
  • Magnetic boots contain electromagnets in the soles and allow for enhanced movement on ferrous surfaces in microgravity or steep gradients. This functionality must be turned on or off manually by a button or switch.
  • Force User Compatible?: No
Function 3: Rebreather
  • Rebreathers allow for a person to survive underwater or in space for brief amounts of time by scrubbing CO2 from their exhaled breath. Generally this lasts for 3-4 posts, but heavy exertion can shorten that time.
  • Force User Compatible?: No
Function 4: Armorweave accessory
  • Most often in the form of a heavy cape, skirt, or underlay beneath armor, armor weave provides some protection against the penetrating effects of shrapnel from explosives and other unpowered high velocity impacts, with only a small amount of bleed through damage (bruising or very minor wounds). It offers no protection against kinetic impact or energy, vibroweapons, or similar "powered" weapons. Having more than one accessory (example: Cape + underweave) provides no additional effect.
  • Force User Compatible?: Yes
Function 5: Variable
  • Variable. Mandalorians love customization, and even standard issue armor features variation from warrior to warrior.
  • Force User Compatible?: Maybe
