Well it seemed that all the pieces of the half baked, hair brained idea that had sprung into the fiery haired spacer's mind. Curse had done her magic and managed to now flood their little corner of the arena with a tsunami of water, and with Eisa taking the attention of the dire cats away from circling and attacking Poffo, the bearded brawler had moved off towards the Gundark and the fighters who were trying to put it down - putting him in safe enough distance from the sodden water logged so not to be affected by the next step of the ill conceived plan.

The only one that from what Eisa could tell would be in the perilous spot would be Curse, who was still scuttling away from the water logged ground, looking over her shoulder to get a gauge on just how close the pursuing pack of dire cats where, the spacer closed her eyes and dug deep, using the Force as much as she could to fuel her body and keep it moving as swiftly as possible. Building enough of a lead to make a quick diversion towards Curse, "Gotcha" Eisa spoke out as she snatched the little droid up with her free hand and rounding back towards the centre of the pool of water.

The sound of splashing under each boot fall building as the fiery haired spacer sprinted full tilt, with the snarling dire cats hot on her tail. It was gonna be now or never! With a quick bound, the spacer jumped up from the ground and threw her legs upwards, using the Force to help manipulate her body so that it would get her vertically flipped around before lunging one end of the electro staff towards the ground with her cybernetic arm, squeezing down on the activation stud with her metallic thumb.

A sharp crackling sound rang out as arcs of electricity dissipated out from the shock staff along the surface of the waterlogged ground. Swiftly followed by pained screeches and howls of the Dire cats that had ran into the water logged ground, the spilled water conducting and carrying the electric current from the arcing tip of the staff and electrocuting the predatory beasts. The electric currents causing their muscles to seize and cramp up, rendering them immobile and unable to move anywhere other than to fall onto the floor convulsing as the current continued to cause their bodies to go into spasm.

No sooner had the sudden crackle and flashing arcs of electrified water appeared into life and be noticed by the audience who had not been paying attention to the antics taking place in the misfit's corner of the arena, the currents dissipated as the shock staff burnt out, leaving the electrocuted dire cats laying limp, in a stunned and barely conscious state - though even if they wanted to continue hunting down either the Spacer or the Brawler, the dire cat's bodies weren't in any condition to do so.

With a slight flourish Eisa pushed herself out of her near gymnast like position of holding herself vertically off the ground at the end of the staff, landing feet first, a wild grin plastered over her flushed features as she breathed deeply to fill her lungs with air now that she wasn't engaged in a full on chase with the predatory beasts. Whilst the crowd around her was giving a mixture of cheers for the spectacle they had witnessed, mixed with some disappointed boos over the fact that they had been deprived of the sight of the dire cats rending the flesh from either Eisa or Poffo's bones - Eisa figured that given that they were stuck in this arena until it came to its conclusion, she may as well rattle the warlords cage a little.

Turning her focus and attention towards the Warlords marquis covered enclosure, Eisa pointed in the Quarren's direction with the shorted electro staff, before raising her free hand to her mouth and gestured a fake yawn - holding it for a few moments before extending the hand away from her mouth, balling it into a fist and then extending her middle finger at the Quarren and his entourage.

Curse let out a surprised squeak as Eisa gripped one of her shell casings and lifted her up, the droid crawling onto the human's back as she put her plan into effect. It worked out masterfully, the spacer incapacitating every one of the wild beasts. She even managed to show off a bit for the crowd, further endearing them to their audience and increasing their odds of survival.

As Eisa soaked in the applause Curse scanned over the rest of the arena. Taking advantage of the opening Poffo had created the Rattataki gladiator had managed to finish off the gundark, though he now glared at the bearded human with obvious malicious intent. Amazingly the Savrip had managed to conquer both of the bomas and was still standing. He was covered head to tow in grievous slashes though and breathing heavily as blood seeped from his wounds. The lizards and humanoid trio had managed to mostly kill each other off while left to their own devices. Curse was able to catch a glimpse of the Mirialan driving his electroripper staff into the Trandoshan's chest, killing him. The green skinned humanoid then looked up to find himself the only survivor of his team. It was just the six of them now.

When Eisa made her little gesture toward the warlord the Quarren rose from his seat, fists clenched in obvious fury. He looked to one of his lieutenants and spoke, though they were too far away to hear. The lieutenant then spoke into a comlink. Moments later there was a rumbling, and the floor of the fighting pit started to lower further and further away from the stands. Again the announcer returned to speak.

"Well now! We have quite the creative bunch here don't we?" He asked with a laugh, clearly singling out Eisa. "In all my years I've never seen someone defeat the dire-cats quite like that! Another round of applause for the clever little lady!" The crowd cheered enthusiastically, but Curse also noticed the three other surviving gladiators now taking a vested interest in the red-haired human. "But! It appears we're down to the final five! You know what that means!" The audience roared again in response, and began chanting "Gauntlet!" over and over. As the floor continued to lower, wide pillars started rising up to different heights.

//Five?// Curse asked with obvious offense as she climbed back up onto Eisa's shoulder. It seemed they didn't count droids. "That's right folks!" The announcer went on. "It's time for the Gauntlet! Which of these brave warriors can survive the final test? Will they rise to the occasion? Or fall to their doom?" To punctuate his statement jets of flame erupted around the edges of the pit and slowly started working their way inward. It was clear the only way to escape the fire was to climb. The pillars were all moving side to side, up and down, extending blades and shock sticks. It was all one big vertical obstacle course. And the timer had already started.

//Keep a close eye on the others.// Curse suggested as the three other gladiators immediately rushed to start climbing. //The warlord has painted a target on your back, they'll all be wanting to kill you now.// She looked straight at Eisa. //And be careful of the big human too. He's helped us so far, but we don't know if he'll turn on us for expediency's sake. The game is almost over after all and I don't know how many are allowed to live...// Of course whatever Eisa decided to do Curse would follow her lead. But she only thought it appropriate to make her aware of all the possible scenarios. They had performed excellently thus far, but the odds were really being stacked against them now.

Two things were now working against Poffo. The redhaired girl was clearly the crowd favorite where he had been before her dire-cat showboating, and survival was now bent on climbing, agility, jumping, and balance. None of these were Sauvage's strongest suits. He just liked to beat the hell out of people. "This ain't what I signed up for..." Poffo grumbled to himself. He surveyed the arena as he started backing himself closer to the middle of the arena, furthest away from the flames. He would take an inventory, and he could not for the life of him figure out he was going to get out of this. Little Miss Acrobat would probably be ok, he figured.

Poffo caught the Rattataki glaring at him out of the corner of his eye. The brawler did a double chop to his groin area in a taunt drawing a snarl from his enemy but a large cheer from the crowd. But the Rattataki was no fool, his attention quickly turned to the obstacle course. Poffo, too, turned his attention to the moving pieces, and nearly got cut in half by a blade extending from one of the moving pillars. Sauvage fell backwards to avoid the saw, and lucked into landing on one of the rising platforms.

"So, that's how it's going to be," he thought.

Turning her attention to her companion perched upon her shoulder as she chirped out in indignation over not being counted as part of the remaining roster within the fighters pit, a light chuckle escaping her lips in reaction to the droid's outburst. "Don't worry bud" Eisa spoke out as she looked towards Curse, before a wicked grin crossed her features "Once this is over with, I'm sure they won't be forgetting your name any time soon" she offered with a playful wink, before turning her attention towards the hovering compare as he announced the next event, much to the cheers and jubilation of the crowd that the remaining fighters in the arena would be facing the gauntlet, her attention moving towards the arena around them as the ground started to shake as it started to take on a different and new form.

Raising an inquisitive eyebrow as she watched the arena shift into a proverbial towering climbing tower of death, her eyes narrowing slightly as she regarded the various spinning blades that came out of the various recesses, along with countless over implements presumably intended to kill, impale and harm the fighters as they climbed the assault course. "oooh thats a nice touch" Eisa murmured before her attention shifted back to Curse as the little buzz droid provided her with the latest assessment of the situation - advising caution from the rest of the fighters, as she had clearly drawn the ire of the warlord now. Her gaze moved towards Poffo as he started on his ascent over the various course, whilst the Buzzdroid voiced her caution for watching her back from the impromptu ally they had made - it kinda made sense especially when they were in the pits, it was every man for himself.

"Target on back is good" Eisa muttered as her attention turned back to her droid companion, before flicking a quick wink as a devilish grin crossed her features. "Means the big guy's eyes are on me for now, leaving an opportunity for a certain little droid to go and have some fun Kriffing up this little mechanised climbing rig, reckon he's spent more on this place than his little ship, so if you see a way in..... go nuts" she added, whilst nodding up towards the various platforms before turning her attention down to the ground and dropping the burnt out elctro shock staff and quickly side stepping off to the side towards the chained weapon she had dropped in favour of the electro staff, figuring it would come in useful to help jam up some of the blades and shock sticks that came out of the various recesses. "Think between us, we've got enough Green Cylops up our sleeves to fix our own odds" she concluded with a light chuckle, before swining the chain around her enough to build momentum to launch towards one of the arms supporting a spinning blade. Her eyes closing briefly as she focused the Force through her body, the use of the chain was going to be a mask for her using the Force, coupled with the moving platforms, it was very reminiscant of the training chambers when she was growing up as a Jedi.

With an upwards lunge of her arm, Eisa propelled the chain upwards, the weighted end wrapping around the extended actuator arm. Pulling on the chain briefly to check it could take her weight, Eisa quickly mounted the wall, using the chain as a means to scale and climb her way up, her eyes panning about for a possible point of entry for Curse to get into the inner workings of the stadium and go and have some fun. "Let me know if you see a spot that works best for you to go and have some fun?" the red haired spacer grunted to Curse as she continued to scale her way upwards.

//Acknowledged.// Curse replied dutifully to Eisa's remarks about sabotaging the stadium, and kept her photoreceptors peeled for any spots to crawl into as she hung from the spacer's back while she moved. It was a good strategy, so long as she didn't accidentally send her master tumbling to her death in the process. Learning how to operate new systems included a bit of trial and error after all, and it wasn't something she was eager to test if it meant putting Eisa in even greater danger. Still, orders were orders, and a part of her definitely wanted to see how much mayhem she could cause from the inside.

Meanwhile the fire grew until it engulfed the entire floor of the arena, meaning a fall would result in certain death. And the flames were rising. Already the injured Savrip was having trouble keeping up with the others, too bulky to be as agile as his opponents. The Rattataki and Mirialan faired much better. While the veteran gladiator slowly made his way towards Poffo, furious but focused, the Mirialan made a beeline for Eisa. He moved like an acrobat, jumping and swinging on the various pillars and obstacles with next to no effort at all. He had clearly accepted the warlord's challenge, and was eager to please. Grabbing onto the shaft of one of the shock sticks he swung in a perfect loop before hurling himself feet first at the red-haired human.

//Look out!// Curse warned her master, and quickly crawled up to the human's shoulder to avoid the blow. Eisa would either need to find a way to defeat her opponent quickly or keep her distance. Staying in one spot for too long here would leave one vulnerable to the constantly shifting obstacles and death traps.

Sauvage couldn't stay on his back long. The platforms were moving and it became fairly obvious that in order to survive, the gladiators would have to make some transfers from one platform to another. Poffo got to his feet and surveyed what he had. For a man who had relied on toughness and brute strength, an obstacle course such as this was not good news. He was not particularly agile or nimble, traits that were almost necessities to survive a situation like this. The possibility that he could very well die was not lost on him.

Poffo tried to time it as best he could, but a platform was moving more toward the middle next to him. That was good, because the blazing fire started from the outside and moved inward, no covering the entire arena floor. Poffo jumped and his hands latched onto the top of the moving platform. Just as the brawler started to pull himself up, a blade shot out of the side mere inches from Poffo's head. A few more inches to the left, and it would have through Sauvage's mouth and the back of his head. Poffo cussed under his breath, pulled himself to the top of the platform.

At the top, was the Rattataki gladiator, smiling as Poffo pulled himself up. He gave Poffo a square kick in the face, nearly sending off the moving platform and into the fire below. Poffo responded by grabbing the gladiator's ankle and giving it a hard tug, sending the Rattataki to his back. Poffo pounced on top of him, taking full mount, and started to pound him with a flurry of elbows and fists. The crowd was cheering him loudly again as the gladiator gave him less and less resistance.

The gladiator was living, but breathing slowly and likely unconscious. Poffo got to his knees and found the girl. She seemed to be handling this better than he was. And that trick with the cats? This girl wasn't ordinary. That much is for certain. Poffo saw the Mirialan moving quickly toward the girl, so Poffo called out quickly, hoping she would see and pointing to her future opponent.

As the fiery haired spacer continued to scale the pillar, using the chained weapon as an improvised rope - nearing the crest of the platform, almost to the point that it was close enough to be in reach for the spacer to pull herself onto the surface of the pillar. And for a moment she was about to attempt to reach out for it, Eisa quickly held off for a moment as she looked up in response to the warnings from Curse and the bearded human brawler.

As she looped upwards, her eyes narrowed as she caught sight of the Mirialan, swiftly making his way towards the platform that Eisa had been attempting to climb up onto. As the green skinned acrobat swiftly advanced towards her, the spacer couldn't help but groan "Seriously??" Before sighing in resignation and letting go of her grip of the chain and letting herself fall back down, the pillar as the over zealous attacker leapt off of the edge of the platform and committed to coming at Eisa with a plunging over head attack.

With a swift and sudden one legged kick, Eisa pushed herself sideways off from her rappelling descent, as her cybernetic arm simultaneously clamped around the chain. Swinging both her and the chain off to the side and out of the path of the eager Mirialan . A confused expression crossing the features of the spacer as she watched the look of shock form on the green skinned gladiator's face as he realised just what happened as he continued to plummet towards the fire engulfed base of the arena. "Seriously, they're a bit too keen on hitting that target" Eisa grunted as she steadied herself back against the side of the shifting pillar, before continuing with her ascent towards the top.

With an air of focus, Eisa scaled her way back up the pillar, finally pulling herself onto the top of the platform and dusting herself off as she stepped towards its centre. Coming to a halt the Fiery haired spacer took a look at her surroundings, her eyes taking note that over to the opposite side of the arean Poffo was standing beside the downed Rattataki, before offering a light nod in acknowledgement for his shouted caution. All that was left was the Veteran Gladiator, who was standing on the next platform up, sitting in the centre of the two humans. The bulky form of the Savrip was now clearly armed with a pair of axed blades, that it had either liberated from the various automated contraptions designed to impale anyone who was unfortunate enough to get within reach - but it was more likely that they just conveniently happened to get thrown into the arena by one of the warlords goons.

"Curse, you best be getting a start on destroying this place" Eisa spoke as she yanked the chain loose from it's anchoring point. "I'm gonna go after the big guy" she added before nodding over towards the Savrip up on the platform above, her eyes narrowing as she turned around to face Curse, as she knelt down to allow the droid to scramble down off her arm , Her brow furrowing as she listened to her crewmate's protest //But he's got axes... and the high ground!!// A wide grin crossing on her features as her emerald eyes flashed with a playful glint and a noticable spark of energy. "yep, but he ain't got the Force" she added giving her companion a knowing wink, before stepping back up to her full height.

Taking a deep breath, Eisa closed her eyes and actively channelled the Force through her, this time it wasn't the passive use to subtly enhance her movement and senses, no this time it would be open and clear to see that she wasn't just some random spacer. With a forward thrust of her hands, the fiery haired spacer released a blast of Force energy towards the upper half of the central pillar, the force of the projected wave pushing the pillar against its runners and twisting the moving structure backwards away from where Eisa was standing. Moments after the Force energy had been unleashed, a light crack could be head from where the fiery haired spacer was standing ,as the rest of the pooled energy was released through her legs, the energies of the force being used to jump with an unnatural speed and height towards to the twisted pillar as Eisa moved to capitalise on the moment and catch the Veteran gladiator off guard.

Eisa's display of the Force certainly didn't go unnoticed. The crowd seemed stunned for a few moments before going absolutely mad. It was clear a Force sensitive was not a typical part of the entertainment. Again the warlord stood up, fuming as he walked to the edge of his dais and put his hands on the railing, gripping it so hard he might have cracked the masonry. He turned and started shouting to his guards, though his voice remained inaudible through the cheering audience.

Meanwhile Curse was finally taking the time to get into the stadium's systems. She managed to spot a gap in one of the pillars where the swinging blades were emerging from. With her small frame she was easily able to avoid the weapons and slip inside. The space between the pillar's mechanisms and outer covering was tight, but by turning herself and moving sideways Curse was able to make her way down the passage. Eventually she was able to crawl into the central shaft of the pillar and make her way down beneath the arena. The open space here wasn't much bigger, much like a crawl space for humanoids. But for her it was much roomier. Thankfully all the systems seemed to be automated, so there were no guards around to hamper her sabotage efforts. There were several console access ports about, seemingly built for use by droids. Hacking into one was child's play for the little Pistoeka. Once in the system she was able to access the arena's cameras, getting a perfect view of the entire fighting pit. //You really should have killed us when you had the chance Quarren...// She chittered out deviously before beginning to alter the field.

Above the Savrip was attacking Eisa with everything he had, swinging his axes at the human wildly. Curse couldn't do much there without threatening to hurt Eisa as well, so she decided to give her some support. Suddenly the pillar Poffo was on started moving. All of the death traps near him deactivated, and he was treated to an easy journey over to the pillar on which Eisa and the Savrip were fighting on. The two pillars locked together, and the brawler could simply walk over to the other if he wished. The other pillars were starting to move around as well. The traps were turning off and and the pillars all adjusting to the same height, then moving around to start forming a bridge directly to the dais where the warlord was. The Quarren noticed this and quickly began to panic. The crowd looked around confusedly as guards started moving up to the edges of the arena and aiming their blasters towards the fighting pit. It seemed the games were over. No place for fairness on a world like Rattatak.

"What the..." Poffo said to himself as he watched the fiery-haired girl jump like nobody should be able to jump. It was unnatural. It was unfair. It was...pretty damn awesome is what it was. And suddenly, Poffo was glad he didn't piss this girl off earlier. Even if he could beat her in hand to hand close combat, he'd never catch her if she could jump like that.

The pit fighter had to get his act together, however. The blades, the fire, the moving platforms...Poffo had the confidence that in a fair fight, toe to toe, he could whip just about any sentient's ass. But that wasn't the fight for him at the moment. About the only thing that could save Poffo was an end to the mechanized madness. And, to his great fortune, the platforms stopped moving and did so in a way that provided him a clear path to the remaining fighters. The sudden good fortune stunned Poffo, and he stopped and looked around. He felt certain that if he started moving from platform to platform that they would start moving again and one would shoot up like a spring, sending Sauvage flying into some danger that he couldn't fend off.

Still, Poffo had too much pride to say no to a fight. He sprinted across the platforms, praying that it wasn't a ploy. The beast was swinging his axes in what appeared to be a mindless manner, but there was a method to that madness. There were so few openings due to the pattern of the swinging, Eisa was mostly ducking and weaving. And to make matters worse, the long arms of the Savrip gave him an incredible reach advantage and made it hard to come in from the flanks. But, Poffo was not approaching him from the flanks. He was coming from behind.

The Coruscanti brawler had another advantage. He had earned some heat with the crowd and they cheered loudly when they noticed he was entering the fray once more. The rising volume of the crowd gave him some noise cover and the beast didn't hear Poffo coming up from behind. Poffo's sprint turned into a slide and he timed a massive uppercut perfectly as he stopped right between the Savrip's legs. Poffo's massive fist drove hard into the groin of the beast. The Savrip unleashed a howl and hunkered over. He didn't fall. Poffo unleashed another brutal shot again right in the groin, and again, the monster howled, but this time fell forward onto his knees. The crowd exploded in cheers at the dirty tactic. Poffo jumped to his feet, held both hands in the air and called for their cheers by motioning them in with his fingers as he turned around slowly to soak in their praise.

"Oooooooh, yeaaaaaah!" Poffo yelled. He pointed at the back of the head of the Savrip with one hand and held up a fist with the other, asking the crowd if they wanted him to pound the monster. Of course they did and they cheered loudly. But Poffo understood the dynamics of crowd management and waggled his fingers to the crowded before pointing to Eisa and then to the Savrip who was nursing his family jewels. Sauvage ripped a thumb in front his throat and then pointed to the Savrip. Poffo had offered the girl a chance to finish this beast off, and the crowd loved them both for it.

A grin crossed the spacer's features as she watched Poffo close in on herself and the Savrip, seemed that now the stadium looked as if it was now under the control of the little Buzz droid, Normally the very thought of Curse being left to run riot with automated systems was often cause for concern - in this instance however it was certainly welcomed, knowing that the Buzz droid would be able to sway things in their collective favour. So much so she had created a clear path to allow for their ally to beable to sneak up on the Savrip, whilst the fighter's attention was set squarely on Eisa as she continued to duck dip dive and dodge the beasts' axe weilding attacks. The swift series of blows to the Savrip's groin was enough to create an opening for Eisa to take advantage of the gladiator's incapacitation.

Lunging forwards, the spacer coiled her cybernetic arm back, before throwing her body round to the side as she swung the metallic limb up towards the Savrips head. The metal fingers of her prophetic balling into a fist before it made contact with the side of his head, stunning him and sending his head round to the side, where it swiftly met another lump of metal, this time from the augmented leg braces that compensated for torn mess of ligaments and muscles that her legs had been reduced to. The two sudden and hard impacts of metal to the Savrip gladiators head was enough to stun and partially render the fighter in and out of consciousness - but to be sure one last sucker punch of the cybernetic arm was thrown in for good measure.

A grin and a thankful nod was offered to Poffo in gratitude for the assist, before she walked around the unconscious Gladiator towards Poffo, whilst her gaze and attention was squared on the furious Quarren. "Cheers for the help..." Eisa spoke, as she cast Poffo a sideways glance moving to meet the brawlers. "Things are gonna get fun now" Eisa commented as she squatted down to pick up one of the Savrip's axes, the crowd reacting in anticipation that the final fight was about to take place between the fiery haired force user and the bearded brawler. "If you want out, I understand... my fight with Kriff for brains over there... not you mate" she added, as she felt the weight of the bladed weapon, her eyes narrowing as she turned her gaze towards the Quarren and the massing guards that seemed to be coming to the front of the crowd and levelling their blasters at the fiery haired spacer.

A sigh escaped her lips as she focused the Force within her once again, before turning to face the brawler as she raised her axe. The crowd reaching a fever pitch at the prospect of the final fight about to kick off. "You might want to take cover behind sleepy there" Eisa spoke out to Poffo before a wild glint flashed in her eyes, complimented by a broad grin as she coiled her arms and the weapon back. But much to the crowd's sudden shock, the fiery haired spacer's movements and swing of her axe was not towards the Brawler, but instead Eisa carried the momentum of the axe swing into her feet, spinning on her heel and turning round on the spot a clean about face before letting go of the hilt of the Axe as she launched the weapon right towards the Quarran in his Dais.

The weapon wasn't intended to connect with the warlord, but was intended to ensure that the Fiery haired Spacer had his sole attention - and what better than having an axe blade come skimming by your face and embedding itself into the throne like chair the warlord had been sitting upon. "Enough of the fancy pets, toys and goons! Why don't you come down here and prove you've got the balls to be called a warlord!" Eisa shouted out towards the Quarran, her arms raising up and reaching out to the side as her narrowed gaze squared solely onto that of the infuriated Quarran.

"If you want out, I understand... my fight with Kriff for brains over there... not you mate," the girl said.

Poffo wiggled a finger. "I don't think so, yeah!" He waggled all of his fingers with a flourish. "You see, there was some fine print in the contract that I signed that didn't mention fire, wild animals, floating platforms, and acrobatics. I was promised a straight fight, so I got a bone to pick too, yeah."

Poffo watched her raise her axe and he quickly took a defensive stance just in case she was preparing to double cross him. "You might want to take cover behind sleepy there," she told him. Poffo took a few steps back, still in a boxing stance. He watched as she launched the axe toward the Quarren warlord. "Enough of the fancy pets, toys and goons! Why don't you come down here and prove you've got the balls to be called a warlord!"

Sauvage pointed up to the Quarren's large bodyguard, a large Kerestian, and waved him on down. "How about you come get some too, yeah! Even the odds!" The crowd popped loudly at the two fighters calling out the big bosses. The workers versus the evil boss always played well the crowd. If Sauvage survived, he could turn this into a hell of a payday. It was a calculated risk, but at least he got to fight.

With her access to the arena's cameras Curse had seen the warlord's men preparing to fire on Eisa, and had started setting up improvised defenses in response. She raised several platforms around the single larger platform Eisa and Poffo were standing on, creating a shoulder height cover in all directions save for the bridge to the warlord's dais. But it seemed such precautions were unnecessary, as the guards were now looking towards their employer uncertainly. It seemed Eisa's challenge had intrigued the audience. The Rattataki announcer was quick to try and get a handle on the situation, hovering just a few meters above the two surviving gladiators.

"Hahaha..." He laughed nervously into his comlink, his charismatic persona wilting under the mounting chaos. "Well uh... It seems our gladiators have forgotten the rules..." He said very pointedly towards the two humans, some edge slipping into his tone. Although it was likely he feared greatly for his own life. "You're supposed to be killing each other." There was nothing for it though, the crowd was going crazy. They wanted to see the warlord fight. The Quarren silently inspected the axe wedged into his chair, then stood up and looked around at the crowd. His massive Kerestian bodyguard stood beside him, arms crossed, a brow raised in mild bemusement. Finally the Quarren raised a hand, and the crowd quickly fell into a complete silence. Above the Rattataki announcer swallowed nervously and pulled out a cloth to clean some sweat from his shaved head.

The warlord stared back at Eisa with a neutral expression, then spoke aloud. "So be it." He said simply. As the crowd erupted into a deafening applause the Quarren tore off his tunic and cape, showing himself to be surprisingly powerfully built. It seemed Eisa had miscalculated. This was not a man that controlled things from the safety of the shadows, he bore the scars of many battles across his torso. Only showing the slightest sign of effort he gripped the axe Eisa had thrown into his chair and tore it free, then turned and stepped onto the bridge, approaching them. Behind him the Kerestian cracked his fingers and rolled his neck, then drew a twin pair of curved vibroblades and began walking beside his master.

Wanting to help give her master an edge Curse delved back into the systems, and soon all kinds of weapons were sprouting from the floor around Eisa and Poffo. Swords, axes, hammers, spears, just about any kind of melee weapon one could think of. The two gladiators would have their pick. After that Curse would disconnect from the console and begin making her way back up to the topside of the arena. Whatever happened next, they would likely need to make a run for it soon.

A dry smirk crossed her features as the compare returned, this time to chastise and curry the audience's ire towards the fiery haired spacer and the brawler. Reminding them like children that they were supposed to be fighting and killing each other, not the benevolent overlord that had arranged the blood sport to entertain the masses. Lowering her head as she took a deep breath, the spacer closed her eyes for a moment as she gained her composure, before turning her attention squarely onto the compare on his floating platform a mere few meters over the defiant pairing. "Rules are made to be broken" Eisa spoke out simply as she dismissed the hovering hype man and focused her attention on the warlord, waiting on his decision whether he was going to rise to the challenge.

Much to uproar of the crowd, the Quarren had accepted the challenge, shedding his tunic and cape to revealed a muscular scared frame before moving to remove the weapon that had embedded itself into the back of his throne before making his move towards the arena along the bridge that had now formed between his dais and the platform that Eisa and Poffo were standing upon. Her gaze shifting away from the warlord and his body guard, by various hatches in the floor hissing open to reveal a collection of weapons that sprouted out from the mechanised inner workings.

The spacer's emerald hued eyes narrowed as her gaze set upon a rather distinct and heavy looking blade, a mixture of anger and pain running through her mind as she regarded the silver bladed weapons, as she recognised the style and origin of the weapon. A Ryyk blade, a weapon that was as if not revered as a bow caster to the Wookies. Seeing the weapon, was a stark reminder to the fiery haired spacer that the stock pile of armaments that had sprouted from the platform, had come from those who had enslaved by the warlord and his goons to fight to the death for the entertainment of the crowds.

Balling her hand into a fist, the spacer scowled for a moment as she took a deep breath, letting go of the anger that had swelled inside of her. With a sigh, Eisa held her hand out and summoned the weapon to her hand. Seemingly the sight of the weapon forged for use by a Wookie being held by the slight frame of the spacer, was enough to get the compare to encourage the crowd into goading her over her poor choice in weapon. "Are you sure it's not too heavy for you..." was all she could hear from the hovering commentator.

A steely look of determination washed over the spacer's features, as she gripped the hilt of the weapon with both hands as the warlord and his body guard entered the arena and splitting off towards their respective quarry. The Quarren wasting no time in theatrics built up in his pace, as he reared his axe back as he charged towards Eisa, before swinging the blade down in a diagonal strike towards Eisa, who in turn countered the attack with a parrying swing, deflecting the axe off course towards the ground and with that brief opening being created, lunged her head swiftly wards the Quarren's forehead. Head butting the warlord hard with the plasteel plating of her Cyber-cranial Remount, before bringing her blade back up and driving the Quarren back as he recovered from the blow to his head and swiftly countered the follow up sword swipe.

Taking a cautious step backwards, Eisa held the Ryyk blade once again firm in her grasp, adopting a stance that was reminiscent of the Shii-Cho form she had learnt growning up as Jedi.

The professional fighter nodded and smiled seeing the challenge accepted and the physical stature of the warlord. This was going to be a brawl after all. The matchups, however, were clear. Eisa appeared to have it in for the warlord, and Poffo had called out the bodyguard. He was big as well, and as he made his approached, he seemed even bigger. While the Quarren warlord eventually broke into a run to attack Eisa, the Kerestian walked calmly and confidently toward Poffo. Poffo, understanding the importance of the crowd waved the Kerestian toward him and then twirled around, calling for the fans to cheer. They did.

Poffo picked up a large warhammer-style weapon. It was heavy, and designed to allow it to use it's weight in the head to really pick up speed and cause a lot of destruction on the business end of the weapon. The Kerestian stopped in front of Poffo and held his vibroblades to the side. "You fight well for a human," the Kerestian bodyguard said. "It's a shame I have to kill you."

Sauvage opened his arms and bent his knees a little bit, "Well, you're talking a big game, yeah. But you know where I'm from, we have a saying...Don't sing it....Bring it!"

The Kerestian didn't waste time at that and started to approach Poffo with aggressiveness. Poffo grabbed the heavy warhammer in two hands in front of him and tossed it, chest high at the bodyguard. The move caught the bodyguard off guard and he somehow managed to catch it while holding his vibroblades. Unfortunately for him, he his hands were full of the blades and the warhammer, and know it was Poffo that charged, lept, and delivered a hard right straight to the Kerestian that staggered him. The hard right hand and the weight of the warhammer caused the bodyguard to lose his balance he started taking some steps backwards. Poffo unleashed another hard right, this one a hook and this shot almost took the Kerestian down. He stumbled backwards, but got his bearings. Poffo unleashed a hard, leaping left. This time the Kerestian took the punch much easier and he glared at Poffo. He tossed the warhamer to the side and screamed at Poffo, just a few feet from him.

Poffo took a boxer's stance, the Kerestian tried to close the distance, but Poffo delivered a hard kick right between the legs. Finally, the Kerestian dropped to his knees. Poffo waggled a finger at the bodyguard. "For a human, huh? I think you're in the process of finding out that I fight well for anybody."

The Kerestian growled viciously as Poffo mocked him, a hand flying up and grabbing the brawler's fingers and bending them back painfully as he slowly stood up again. With his free hand he'd grab Poffo's shirt and yank him close for a powerful headbutt. After his counterattack he would spit some blood from his mouth and put up his dukes. Poffo had succeeded in landing the first few strikes, and good ones at that. But this Kerestian was tough, and he seemed just as comfortable fighting hand to hand. "Let's see how well you brag with a broken jaw!" He growled, and charged at the brawler again.

Meanwhile the Quarren was showing no signs of letting up on Eisa. He moved quickly for someone his size, and each swing would test the spacer's reflexes and technique to their limit. This warlord clearly had years of experience in the ring himself. "You never should have come to Rattatak!" He said hatefully as he continued his relentless assault. "You think I don't know a Jedi when I see one? Even if you are good at hiding it, it makes no difference. I've killed your kind before. You're nothing but a nuisance!"

As if on cue Curse finally returned to the fight then, making her entrance by rolling up under the attacking Quarren and igniting her plasma torch, burning his feet. The alien yelped in surprise, drawing laughter from the crowd. With a furious growl he took his eyes off Eisa momentarily to take a swing at the buzz droid. The little Pistoeka jumped back, narrowly avoiding the strike, then chittered out a mechanical laugh as she skittered away. With the Quarren's attention divided, she would slip back in to nip at his heels whenever he turned on Eisa.

The more the duel between herself and the Quarren continued, the more it got her blood pumping, and yet strangely enough it had gotten the spacer excitable. As much as the years of Jedi tutor ledge would have had her conditioned to focus on calm, serenity and her technique - Eisa had thrown all of that out of the window, before putting her foot down and accelerating off into the distance. Much to her former master's chagrin, the fiery haired spacer was enjoying herself, and chuckling wildly as she continued to evade and parry the warlords attacks as he attempted to wear her down.

A wild grin spread over her features as the warlord spoke out bitterly towards her, citing that they shouldn't have come to Rattatak, before pouring out more bile, stating the conclusion that she was a Jedi and that regardless of her attempts to conceal it he had killed Jedi before. Probably more to the Warlord's annoyance, the spacer simply laughed at the hate filled words. "We're only here cos we were on a shipping run, ain't my fault your thick headed goons can't protect a ship from a droid" Eisa retorted, deliberately looking to infuriate the warlord further. If there was one thing that she knew, if you fought when filled with anger, you made mistakes.

But as he went to lunge forward with a furious assault, Curse made her return onto the arena. And, in form true to the little buzz droid, made her presence known by of all things attempting to set fire to the warlord's foot with her plasma cutter. Before scampering away with a chitter, but Curse had pulled the warlord's attention away from the "Jedi" and onto the little droid, leaving enough of an opening for the Spacer to improvise and exploit the situation, Her gaze turning to the side and focusing on a metallic shield. Dropping her sword and summoning the shield to her hands, the spacer reared the shield back, just moments before the warlord turned his attention back to the spacer.

As soon as his attention was returned back to the spacer, there was an almighty thwack, as Eisa swung the shield towards the warlord, the sudden strike to the head sending the man off of his feet and barrelling down towards the floor. And to add insult to injury the spacer didn't allow for the man to get back onto his feet, but instead opted to continue battering the stunned warlord over the back of his head and back with the shield. After the assault continued for several minutes, the spacer shifted the grip of the shield, onto her natural arm, before reaching down with her cybernetic limb. Grabbing onto the bloodied and swollen head of the Quarren with her robotic fingers. "By the way, I ain't a Jedi. I'm a galactic pain in the ass for Schutta scum like you!"

The headbutt sent Poffo sprawling backwards, dazed. Blood poured from his nose, and a headache sat in hard and fast. He was concussed. He tried to shake it, but the pain set in harder and vision blurred slightly. Luckily for Poffo, he had plenty of practice fighting this week. He tried tried to shake out his fingers which had been bent back. Saving him to some degree were the brass knuckles he wore preventing the Kerestian from breaking his fingers.

"Let's see how well you brag with a broken jaw!" The Quarren's bodyguard growled and followed it up with a charge. Poffo was still on his back and certainly in a compromised position. There was no time to stand and get into a defensive position. So, Poffo played possum. He collapsed back, feigning the concussion to be a little worse than it was. The large bodyguard lept, planning to come down with a huge punch as he would come down in the mount position, but Poffo instead lifted his legs, and catapulted the Kerestian with his feet backwards and told him as the Kerestian started his drop onto Poffo, "Time to take to flight, little birdy," and finished with an "Oh, yeah!" as his legs extended. The Kerestian's momentum and Poffo's leg-launch sent him flying over the ledge of the pedestal they were on to another that was about fifteen feet below. He landed flat on his back, the air completely knocked out of him. He tried to breathe, but couldn't catch any wind.

The crowd cheered loudly, and even more so as Sauvage walked to the edge of the platfom he was on and yelled to the crowd, "If you want to see me drop a flying elbow on this freak, give me an 'Ooohhhh, Yeeeeee-aahhh!" To which, the crowd of course responded with a large 'Oh, yeahhh!" that echoed through the arena. Poffo raised his arms high above his head, sized up the drop, and then jumped, crashing his elbow down on the Kerestian's throat. The landing didn't do Poffo any favors either, but he would never let the crowd know it. He raised his arms, twirled around, and motioned for the crowd to give him some cheers. They were happy to do so. Poffo stood over the Kerestian who was now grabbing his throat, possibly with a crushed windpipe, gasping and pleading for breath. Poffo put on foot on the bodyguard's chest and and flexed his muscles for the crowd.

From the cheers that rang off and on from the pedestal above him, he had to figure the redheaded firebrand was winning as well.

While the crowd was certainly enjoying the show both the announcer and the warlord's guards looked absolutely mortified. It was quite clear by this point he had lost, and what did that mean? The only law that really existed on Rattatak was 'might makes right'. With the warlord defeated, there was no real line of succession. Except possibly the woman that had just defeated him. And that prospect seemed to utterly terrify the announcer.

"Uh... well I... I just cannot believe it!" The announcer stumbled over his start for a bit before finding his charisma again. "Ladies and gentlemen! You have just witnessed the end of an era! The great Lord Boc lays defeated! Everyone give it up for..." He paused before leaning over the rail on his floating platform, speaking to Eisa as he held his comlink away from his mouth. "Hey kid, what's your name again?" He asked as quietly as he could while still being loud enough to be heard over the screaming crowd.

The armed guards on the sidelines seemed less diplomatic about all this. Despite everything they had just witnessed they seemed to think they could actually bring down the trio themselves. Already Curse took notice of some discussions going on amongst them. It seemed a new pecking order was quickly being hashed out. They would kill Eisa and Poffo to show their strength, and then go about establishing a new regime. The little Pistoeka quickly returned to her master's side, crawling up to her shoulder and speaking urgently to her.

//I strongly suggest we leave now...// She warned as she continued to scan over the encroaching guards. //We won't get a better opportunity. We should retrieve our comrade and flee before we're cut off.// They still had an opening to run across the bridge to the stands and flee through the crowd, but they would need to act quickly. The guards were clearly preparing to make their move.

(OOC: I think we should start to wrap up the thread in the next few posts, everyone cool with that?)

Well the warlord was defeated, but before there would be time to grandstand - or even attempt to finish off the bested Warlord. The announcer came buzzing back into range, his stumbling words conveying the shared sense of shock and stunned state that had washed over the Arena, more precisely those who where loyal to the warlord - to the general populace however they were revelling in the scene that had played out in front of them. Looking up towards the compare as he asked for her name holding the comm piece towards her, the firey haired spacer reached out and took the device clean from the man's hand.

"My Name is Eisa Wex" Eisa spoke out, as she raised her metallic hand and gestured out towards the crowd. "Remember it, as you will this day" She spoke out before pausing slightly as her crewmate came scurrying up her arm and chirped into her ear, warning about not lingering too long. A wry smirk curling on her lips as she nodded in affirmation, she had the same suspicions that things would go south very soon - if it was of her making then there would be all the more to play on it. "This is not the day that I merely kicked the ass of some Schutta Warlord. NO this is the day that the people of Rattatak rise up and forge their own futures, free from the regime of this Lord Bok filth and his goons" The spacer continued before gesturing her hand towards the various guards who were already working and bickering among each over who would take the war lord's place.

"Already they are plotting to determine who is going to oppress you next. Well I say No, there is a what several thousand of you? and only twelve of them..... Kriff those Schuttas up and take back your freedom" the spacer implored before tossing the commlink into her cybernetic hand and proceeded to crush it, to make sure that the compare didn't try to counter the Riot that was about to ensue. Tossing the crumbled comms link up to the floating compare, the spacer offered only but a wink. "This is your chance to make a difference bud" Eisa spoke out before stepping towards the edge of the upper platform and dropping down to the lower one to approach Poffo.

"Yo Beardy, if you want off this rock, you can hitch a lift with us" Eisa called out, before gesturing for the Brawler to follow her. "Either way, think we gotta get out of here, place is going to go to Kriff very soon" she added, as a wide grin crossed her features - not the most conventional way of removing a War Lord's regime, but as she said she wasn't a Jedi, she weren't going to do all the work liberating a world.

Breaking into a sprint, Eisa bolted along the walk way towards the stands, where the crowd were starting to rush towards the guards, or starting to tear off seats and parts of the furniature as improvised weapons. Weaving and vaulting her way through the swelling throng of people, Eisa made her way deeper into the stands, getting lost in the sea of the local denizens and out of sight of the War Lord's guards who now had more than just their new pecking order to worry about. Soon enough after running up what must of been three flights of stairs, the spacer and her companions were clear of the entrance arches of the Arena, with the Rim hopper in sight, it wouldn't be long until they were lifting off and making a break for space.

"Yo Beardy, if you want off this rock, you can hitch a lift with us. Either way, think we gotta get out of here, place is going to go to Kriff very soon," Eisa said as she was motioning him to join. Poffo was a brute, not a fool. This was going to be a full-fledged revolt and cluster. He needed to take this opportunity to get off the rock.

He made a flourish with his fingers before they whisped off a motion to the air. "I think I would appreciate the ride, yeah."

Poffo followed the red-haired fireball into the stands and beyond. He had taken some shots. He was limping and woozy from some shots to the head, but nothing he hadn't fought through before. They wove through what were spectators at the beginning of the day but now were revolutionaries. Many tried to take the time to pat Poffo on the back. Some even took time out of their revolting to ask for an autograph. As much Poffo wanted to oblige, he had a ship to catch and the girl was a helluva lot faster than him right now.

They reached the top and the girl's ship came into the view. As they waited he extended his hand to the girl. "Ms. Eisa Wex is it? Poffo Sauvage. Any time you want to fight as a tag team, give me a call, Oooooh, yeeeaaah!"
