I was born on Kuat, left at an orphanage. I guess I was an unplanned mistake. I didn't fit in at the orphanage. I left. I was a damn good gang runner. I was even better with computers. The gangs often paid me to hack into security systems, open doors, disengage turrets and the like.
Well, I always seek to challenge myself. I had heard of a safe-house, with security so advanced no-one who had tried to break in succeeded. Many were said to have been killed by the safe-houses armoured sentry, presumably a droid of some kind. That was no deterrence for me. I had broken into hundreds of safe-houses.
The rumours were right. I made some headway, but the software was more advanced than even republic military tech. I could almost get in, but it always changed itself. It was nigh on impossible.
That's when the sentinel attacked. A being clad in iron. I had no hope against him. He threw me out.
The next week, I found I was to be moved. To Corellia. To be educated, all by the coffers of one 'Mr. Larellan'. I had the best education around. I graduated with a masters in robotics. My breakthroughs in A.I and nanotech earned my my doctorate. I did what was best. I got a job at Industrial Automaton. I worked there for five years before the sentinel returned. Apparently, I was to go cavorting around with him in a suit of armour, become his protegè. How could I say no? Apparently, he had paid for my education, turned me into the man I was today. This was the least I could do.
Most of my time is spent designing and making suits. And acting as an 'eye in the sky' for the Sentinel, keeping tabs on the shadowy meetings, the thrills and spills of under-the-table life!
I make my own suits now. Things of beauty, they are. I know, people always wonder how these things are funded. It's simple. People aren't always who they say they are. I will say another life of mine owns a big ol' share of the market but heck, Raoul may not even be my real name. Unfortunatley, you'll never know it. Because you got caught. Trying to break in. I'm not like the sentinel. I will end you for this. Good day.
