+Tanked Tauntaun Ground Floor+
Open to Hutt members/criminal based independents looking for 2 to 3 more people to help establish a fence. This is just the meet and greet for a plot. PVP/Death Disabled

Snow, and freezing winds, the weather on Raithal left the young Basadi chilled to the bone, he heard tell that The Wook was looking for more real-estate on this frozen rock and Jace was looking to gain a little influence, so here he was on this frozen ball looking for a good spot to set up a fence.
Jace could understand why, the inhospitable weather wouldn't draw intoo much traffic from Republic forces, so that made its locale a good prospect for the underworld. trudging through the snow he made his way into a Cantina with a sign of a Tauntaun, making his way to the door he is blasted by a rush of warmth and a surge of music, smoke escaping as he enters into the crowded cantina, passing by a security guard, the stage, and the nearby tables he moves to the bar, orders a glass of whiskey.
Taking note of another guard in the kitchen behind the bar before making his way towards the back of the room to the secluded lounge, opposite the kitchen.
Easing himself onto the sofa he scans the cantina crowd, waving away the cook as he approached to see if he wanted anything to eat, looking at the hodgepodge of species on the wrong side of the law made him not at ease but more comfortable. Sipping his drink he leans back into the sofa, resting his feet on the table as he enjoys the music while his mind wanders, with a place like this he could start making moves to raise in the ranks of the Cartel.

Nick arrived on Raithal. He was on another job, this one for a key player in the Hutt Cartel, the Wook. This job though would require him to work with another person, which was completely fine with Nick. He actually was excited to meet this new partner, another person to add to the evergrowing list of associates. He adjusted his coat slightly to cover his suit and armor which was hidden underneath. He walked for some time to find the actual meet up, but when he found it, he wasn't impressed. Another of those bars, same old thing. He walked through and looked around looking for the face of his partner. He saw him, nodded, and walked over. Sitting down, he ordered a beer, and said "Howdy! So I here you got something for the Wook?"

Jace looked up as the well dressed Nick sits across from him and gets right down to business after a quick hello.
Taking his feet from the table he leans forward, setting his glass in the table as he responds, the bands music would make any attempts to overhear their conversation very difficult.
"Glad you could make it. Names Jace."
Pausing after his own introduction he takes a sip from his glass before continuing.
"The Wook has need of a place for our merry little family to fence their hard earned valuables, I know this place doesn't look like much but I think it would work, it already serves a rougher crowd so our guys moving in won't raise too many eyebrows when the owners suddenly decide to sell to a young man and move away."
The youth smirks as he finishes he was a little nervous but hoped he was concealing any signs of his feelings, the booze helped take the edge off but he still was a little unsure of himself, this was his first job he was setting up himself and it weighed on him.
"That's the basics, hopefully a few others show and we can iron out the details of a plan... any thoughts, questuons?"
the young Basadi hoped the man wouldn't take one look at him, see a green kid, laugh and walk away, but that was always the risk when you had a face that betrayed your age.

Nick sipped his drink and listened. After the introduction, Nick nodded and said, "Sounds good to me, how do you figure we take this little establishment? You mentioned persuading the owners to sell? That might happen, but this place has been around for a long time, and they might not just drop and leave like that. Plus the old timers who frequent this place might not like the idea of a new face, a new person coming in, could mean new rules and stuff. We could go ahead and, like you said, offer the owner money, Meanwhile, we could shuffle in some Cartel people in the bar, just to make it known that the Hutt's are moving in. Hell we could even place rumors of the Wook being in town. He's famous enough." Nick spread his hands out on the table, thinking. "But like you said, it's just the basics, lets give it a little more thought, some of the patrons here might not like the Hutts, and things could get a little dirty."

"What a piece of druk," Surai declared with no mind for any of those around her. Mistake number one was looking out the damn viewport at the frozen waste stretching into the horizon. No, the first mistake was accepting this job -- or the possibility of getting involved with the job -- now that she knew it was some backwater hole situated on some Tauntaun's taint.

Dirty looks and oaths didn't register to the tall Devaronian. Not like the barge she'd come on was full of thugs and gangsters. Maybe some of them had backbone, but did they have enough for someone her size? Sometimes being considered a 'demon' really paid off. A little stereotype Surai had no intention of dissuading people from perpetuating.

Were Spring or Summer any better on this boulder? Hopefully the job wouldn't last long enough to find out whether this was Summer or not.

Things only got worse from spying the world from above. Seeing it was bad; being out in the frigid air was unbearable. Not to mention white was not her color. Not buried in white.

Once she arrived at the cantina Surai shoved the door aside and blew in to the unnatural warmth of a surprisingly occupied bar. "Snark me," she breathed pleasantly at the unexpected sight. Seeing just how scenic the place was Surai had expected the worst -- a barely occupied joint with nothing for entertainment. Maybe this wouldn't be as terrible as she'd begun to imagine.

"If the Lady's asking--"

Her right hand squashed the gnat's nose as she shoved his face away. Yeah, maybe she was, but not with the first piece of trash that got rustled by a chill wind that'd sneaked into the place behind her. The long jacket she wore with a fur-lined cowl hid most of her appearance unless they were face-to-face with either a beautiful woman or a beautiful monster; depended on her mood in the given moment.

Surai stopped by the bar as the first order of business. "Kyrf." When she got a shake of the head in response, her golden eyes narrowed a moment. Slowly she replied with a second choice, "Vasarian brandy." Only when a glass was dropped down and the contents spilled into it did the large, red woman's countenance lift again. Drink in hand she turned to survey the crowd. Couldn't conduct business in a bar completely sober. Not that her biology made getting drunk easy. Just meant there was more time for drinking!

Now, where would the other Huttlickers be lurking? The lounge. Comfort. Darkness. They were in the lounge. With a toss of the drink down her gullet, Surai made deeper into the cantina.

Slowly she began drifting through the tables and crowd as the music played. Those golden eyes slowly scanned over the people from beneath the hood as she cataloged those present. Until in short order she'd stray near a table occupied by two men looking for a bit of privacy.

"I hope they do." A sharp-tooth grin parted her dark lips overhearing Nick's last statement. "You boys have room at the table for one more?" Wasn't really a question, but she waited for their response all the same. Time to get to know the 'friendly' faces.

Nick finished talking and was ready to listen to what Jace had to say when a woman of another species Nick couldn't name walked in. She sat at the bar, then got up and sat in a booth next to Jace and Nick. She spoke, and he listened. "You want to join? That would be great! Another person would help out a lot. You know what we're doing, or should I fill you in?"

"If there's credits involved," Surai agreed, "or a good fight." She always up for a little excitement. Long as it wasn't a fool's errand. Given the guy these boys were trying to impress, well Surai didn't doubt one or the other would come along. "I know what you intend. Why don't you give me the highlights of the particulars?"

Nick nodded, he understood what she wanted. Credits equaled power, and power was the best gift. "Yes, there will definitely be credits involved. So far it's you,me, and my friend, Jace Varro. The plan is to A see if we can make a private deal with the owner of the shop, and buy it. Or if he says no, we gotta do it the old fashioned shoot out. But an assassination of the owner would work well, or we can kidnap a family member, and ransom them for the shop. I say we stick with plan A or C/D because plan B would be a major pain in the ass, not that i like a good fight, but if the patrons get involved, there will be a problem. The whole point of the operation is to collect revenue for the Wook and the Hutt Cartel, but also for ourselves of course. We need to make it so the patrons don't get hurt. The whole point is to get customers, not scare them away. So like my pops told me once, " Swiftly but surely." What's your name anyways?

If she were a manipulative Hutt-kisser Surai might suggest getting a third party to force the owner to sell the place -- either to pay a ransom, or because their supply lines dried up for any number of reasons. But the Devaronian wasn't that kind of woman. Well, not when there were alternatives. "Could always frame them for murder or some other high crime," she added.

As she dropped into a chair, her amber eyes shifted back to Nick. "Surai. You 'Me?'" A smirk pulled at her dark lips. Hey, he was talking like she hadn't introduced herself. Where the spicing kark was his name, exactly? Could be Lieutenant Killjoy all she knew at this point.

"Yeah," the tall, red woman leaned back, "I guess we can't go around slaughtering everyone. Wouldn't be much sport anyway." There were a few that'd put up a fight, but Surai wasn't going to extend the benefit to the doubt to more than that.

"Sounds good, so we have to get this thing started. The plan's just a start, but we need to elaborate more for this thing to work. We need blueprints and layouts, guard positions and shifts, if any, and usual customers. But I like your idea, about framing the owner, that could work out. We could plant a mole on the inside too. Get our guy up high on the list, make him known in the cantina, then when the owner falls, our guy is next in line. Unless of course the guy has got family, in which case, we'll have to kill them or bribe them to sell the cantina for a reasonable price. So we good?"

Nick took a sip. The layout was the best part of the job, of course besides the killing and the credits. It was exciting. Oh, what Fun!

OCC: Sorry for the delay, i actually didnt even get a notification you replied. Plus @TheRevanchist is pretty inactive, so do we go without him? We gotta do this fast before the next TL

"Uh huh," the Devaronian lounged back, her eyes sliding off to the side to regard those around them. "So let's get it done then." The red woman's bright eyes shifted back to Nick with a smile on her lips. "We do this polite. Then we do it nasty, if they don't play along. You good at the polite stuff? If you are, I'm going to take a walk. Then if things go poorly, you give me a call and we make things right."

If Nick dealt with the pretties, Surai would go find leverage. Then she'd lay hands on the leverage. And then, if the owner refused to play nice, she'd squeeze the leverage. There was an old proverb where if you gave a Devaronian a lever large enough and a place to stand and she'd own the galaxy. Might settle for a cantina, today.

"I can be polite, but we'll see how that far, i wouldn't count on it, but it's worth a shot. Being mean is more fun" Nick grumbled. He licked his lips, sitting up. "So we know the plan, lets do this. Guess it's time to get ready. I'll contact you." Nick stood up, took one last sip from his cup, nodded to both partners, and walked out the cantina and into the broad daylight.
