Katarn used the force to push the blade just enough to the side that it flew straight past and clattered to the ground. "I'm not even a Master." Katarn smiled. "I am a mere crusader and have only recently been elevated as well."

Katarn waved her left hand sending a wave of force energy across the ground in an attempt to trip the acolyte, she also swung her whip around just over the head of the acolyte in case he were to jump.

Albedo grinned. "You fell in my trap."
Something glistened on the ground. It was a moment before Katarn realized it was a wire. Albedo had wires attached to his lightsabers. The javelining wasn't to actually strike her but allow for a sneak attack from the ground.
As Albedo tripped, he cartwheeled back, pulling the wire at the same time. The lightsaber came flying back towards him, going in a path that could hit Katarn's legs if she stayed where she was.

Katarn back flipped avoiding the wire, but in the sudden movement her left arm was hit by the whip and a small welt appeared where the unactivated whip had hit.

Albedo regained his composure. "Shall we continue? So far all I've been doing is non-Forc tactics. Should I begin using Force techniques or should I wait on that?" he asked his mentor.

"I think we've sparred enough for today, is there a force technique you would like to learn from me?" Katarn asked, massaging the spot on her arm where the whip had hit.

((I only spar till the apprentice does something that surprises me.))

"Telekinesis I think I've gotten a hand on," informed Albedo. "If I may request, I would like to work on Force Sense."

OCC: I'm not sure if I used the correc term but I'm referring to the omnipresence-like ability to sense everything around yourself

((I'm pretty sure that's right))

Katarn nodded. "Of course."

She went to a corner where there was a chest, a wave of her hand raised the lid and she drew from it a piece of cloth. This she folded and tied so that it resembled a blindfold. She handed this to the padawan. "Here, where this while you walk about the Temple for a few days, spar with some other Acolytes in the main training hall and you should develop force sense."

"Sure," agreed Albedo, putting the blindfold on. "Do you have any suggestions on who I should spar with? I can guess very well that most wouldn't think twice about cutting me down while I train this way."

"Don't worry, the training area requires training blade use only. Penalty for breaking that rule is death." Katarn smiled.

"I see. Well then, I better begin," said Albedo.
Albedo walked to the training area. He logged in on the consule there, which paired him up with another apprentice name Barth Olomew*.
Albedo and Olomew entered the platform and were given their weapons.
"En garde," shouted Olomew.
Olomew charged at Albedo. Albedo didn't move until the last second. With grace, Albedo deflected Olomew's blow.
Impossible, thought Olomew. He's suppose to be new, not to mention he's blindfolded. He grinned. I'll teach this punk to know his place.
Olomew went for another attack, but this time low.
"Pathetic," muttered Albedo.
Albedo stabbed his left sword into the ground. Olomew's blade bounced off the grounded sword. Albedo then swung his right sword at Olomew. Olomew panicked and fell backwards. Albedo picked up his left sword. He placed his swords in a scissors fashion around Olomew's neck.
"So you've mastered Force Sense," spat Olomew. "You only beat me since I underestimated your abilities."
Albedo yawned. "So can we begin the actual battle now? I'm getting tired of this warm-up."
"What did you say!"
"I was instructed to hone my Force Sense. As this was a warm-up, I found no reason to use it yet."
"You liar! You knew exactly where my attacks were coming from."
"Imbecile. My left eye is normally covered, thus I'm generally blind on that side. Thanks to that, my other senses have increased on that side. You see, were you to say attack my right side, you may have been able to catch me off guard but you had no advantage attacking the side that is not under limitations."
"How dare you talk to Barth Olomew like that, you punk!"
Olomew used the Force to throw Albedo away from him. The cocky apprentice reached for inside his robes where he had a lightsaber hidden. He took it out and lit it.
"I'll show you what it means to mess with me, punk!" spat Olomew.
"Pathetic," commented Albedo, standing up.
With an embarassing war cry, Olomew charged at Albedo. Albedo revealed the blaster in his sleeve and shot Olomew in the kneecaps. Olomew fell over.
"Hold it!" shouted the supervisor. "What is going on?"
Olomew pointed an accusing finger at Albedo. "That punk used a blaster in our fights. Disqualify him!"
The supervisor smirked at Olomew's pathetic state. "Sorry, but the rules say nothing about blasters." The woman picked up Olomew's lightsaber. "However, lightsabers are another story."
The supervisor stabbed Olomew in the chest with his own lightsaber.
Great, that didn't help my training at all, thought Albedo.

Albedo returned to the training room where he found Katarn.
"Well, my training wasn't too successful," said Albedo. He told her of what happened.

"Are you able to sense things better at least?" Katarn asked, drawing a datapad from a pouch.

"Vaguely," answered Albedo. "The blindfold method is not that effective to tell since I've learned to tune my other senses to help me out since I generally have my left eye covered anyways."

"Then this should be all the easier as your body has already created the channels for adapting." Katarn explained. "The body can adapt to anything, that's why most of my techniques have the body doing all the work, it takes longer, but the results are more powerful as they have been ingrained into your very being. Try the blindfold on for a week. It sometimes takes that long or longer to complete this task. Keep trying and come back in a week."

"Understood," said Albedo. "Also, I heard I'm not the only one you're training. Do you mind if I attend one of your lessons with another of your students. I'll just be watching from the side."

"I prefer to keep my students seperated." Katarn replied. "Maybe you can work together on a mission, but it changes the formula if someone else is in the room."

"I see," said Albedo, half-jokingly. "So, what do you wish for me to do next?"

((look up, she already told you to continue the force sense training until you got it down pat. unless you just want to skip that and move on to the next ability.))
