NAME: R5-9A
FACTION: Sith Order
RANK: Agent
SPECIES: R5 Astromech Droid
AGE: Kinda irrelevant since he's a droid but 150 years young.
GENDER: Genderless since a droid but uses he/him pronoun for simplicity's sake
HEIGHT: 0.97 meters
WEIGHT: 80 pounds
FORCE SENSITIVE: No. He's a droid.

APPEARANCE:
Looks like this

ATTRIBUTES:
R5-9A has a lot of great attributes. He's ambitious , knowledgeable about medicine and is also one determined bot. His ubiquitous look and status as a droid means that he can often slip in and out of places undetected or unnoticed. Whether you consider mercy a weakness or a strength, R5-9A posesses none - he's solely focused on his work and won't let anything like morals or a creature's pleas stop him. His combat programming is limited in scope but does give him extremely accurate shots with his pistols. However, his small size and build make him a bit vulnerable if in a real battle without allies. He can pilot a starfighter with reasonable accuracy, even if his moves are very standard and unimaginative.

PERSONALITY:
Don't let his diminutive and harmless looking appearance fool you - R5-9A is pure evil. Wanting nothing more than to spend his days ripping apart organics and droids alike and then put them back together in twisted ways, this little droid isn't someone you'd want on the wrong end of your operating table. Seeing the Sith as the best way to achieve those goals, R5-9A is loyal to the Order and is happy to volunteer for assignments where he might acquire a new test subject. He has little regard for human life and seeks only to pursue knowledge for its own sake. Though he'd prefer to avoid combat if possible - seeing it as a dangerous waste of time, R5-9A will certainly not hesitate to fight if given the chance. Also, he cheats. A lot. Whether it's at board games, in combat, or the Medicinal Oath he was supposedly programmed with, this droid will seek a way to skirt the rules if he can.

BIOGRAPHY:
R5-9A had humble origins. Built as one of the much maligned R5 units by IA, he was built towards the end of the Clone Wars and pressed into service as an astromedic serving the Republic. Eventually, the Republic transitioned into the Empire and then the remnants of the Empire transitioned into the First Order. And along the way, his personality matrix was damaged during a firefight and R5-9A began to develop some interesting personality quirks. For one, he still did his job as a medic but he also turned his eyes to increasing his medical knowledge by performing his own experiments secretly. An occasional trooper or two would disappear and although the First Order suspected desertion, R5-9A knew the truth. His priorities also shifted. Instead of prioritizing serving the needs of his masters, R5-9A instead sought to preserve his own self, sabotaging other droids to avoid becoming obsolete and leaking incriminating documents of officers who found his presence off-putting. After the destruction of the First Order, the remote medical outpost he was assigned to was taken over by the Sith and, after they went through his records, the Order realized that they had found a very experienced and knowledgeable (if creepy) droid on their hands. Incorporating R5-9A into the order, the droid is now free to perform his experiments to his heart's content as long as he continues to provide excellent medical services for the Order.

SKILLS:
Medicine - Skill level 9.5. If it was possible to be completely perfect in a field, R5-9A would be a perfect doctor. Having spent over a century studying medicine and practicing on several different organic species, R5-9A has a wealth of experience and databases to treat almost and malady or wound.

Combat - Skill Level 5 - While his programming makes him quite an accurate shot, any battle situation that can't be solved with a few shots of his pistol are most likely beyond him, although he's quite scrappy and will definitely be an annoying enemy for a foe to take down.

Piloting - Skill Level 4 - His programming allows him to be plugged into a starfighter and fly it well enough to land but outside of basic maneuvering, you won't be seeing much else from him.

Slicing - Skill Level 6. He's a droid and makes for a better slicer than most organics, even if some droids could do it better.

Repairs - Skill Level 5. Having spent a lot of times on battleships and repairing prosthetic limbs, R5-9A can put together and take apart most pieces of machinery.

Vanishing People - Skill Level - 8. R5-9A knows how to make a person disappear and make it look like an accident.
