Anri's laugh was muffled as his pillow was flung onto her face, and as she removed it, it turned into a quiet chuckle. Following his lead, she too left the bed, picking up her clothes and redressing herself. She figured that she would just change into a fresh dress later after she had bathed.

Looking out the window, she noticed that she ship had stopped,
"Odd, the ship stopped. Was there an announcement?" She checked her commlink, there had been no messages from the ship as they had slept, "No, there wasn't."

Now that was really odd. The ship tended to let its passengers know the reason behind any stops, so she wasn't sure why they hadn't done so now. She felt for her holdout blaster. Good, it was still there. Looking over at Zarai, she jokingly wondered aloud,
"Do you think we scared everyone into jumping into the escape pods?"

Anri's concerns served only to solidify Aizahk's own apprehensions. He walked up to the window and cast his gaze across the open abyss, wondering what might be lurking in the depths of the dark. He entered a momentary state of hyper-focus, gradually rendering himself oblivious to his surroundings. He looked to the force for guidance, hoping that it would grant him insight. As Anri's voice faded into the aether, a subtle hint of distress began to niggle at his mind. It certainly wasn't his own, and it didn't seem to be Anri's either. It called to him from afar, urging him to act. It was more annoying than anything, slightly poking away at his senses every so often. Whilst it was distant, and somewhat vague, Aizahk was sure of its presence.

"Hmm..." Exhaling slowly, Aizahk relaxed. And then, all of sudden, his eyes shot open. "I don't like this either..." At least a minute had passed, however Aizahk abruptly responded as though it had only been seconds. "I say we investigate. It might be fun." He turned to face Anri once again, with a sharp look. Striding briskly towards his jacket, he fumbled around as though he was simply retrieving his wallet, subtly masking the concealment of his lightsaber up the sleeve of his shirt. All the while, he lamented leaving his pistol back in his room.

A knock at the door...

"Excuse me! Hello!" It was the friendly call of what sounded like a cheerful young man. "I'm from the front desk, we got a call from this room. We're just checking that everything's alright." There was something insincere about the man's tone. Aizahk stayed quiet, simply raising his finger towards his lips. "Wait." He mouthed silently to Anri. The door handle twisted slightly. However, after a moment, it began to rattle violently. "Hello..." The voice was strained now, though he'd evidently given up on the handle. Aizahk relaxed for a second, before suddenly... -Click-. The latch had unlocked. Slowly the door swung open, and the barrel of a blaster edged around the corner. Two crimson bolts were unleashed towards the pair with expert precision as a man, clad from head to toe in black, rushed into the room. Aizahk raced in front of Anri at blinding speed, avoiding the first shot, and outstretched his hand to negate the bolt that sailed towards Anri. In an attempt not to draw his lightsaber quite yet, he launched a table lamp at the head of their assailant, hoping it would daze him for a moment.

Anri reacted quickly, but not quickly enough. Even as she twisted her body and tugged on her hidden holdout blaster, she knew that she wouldn't be able to avoid the incoming blaster bolt. Bracing for the imminent pain, she tensed up...

Suddenly, Zarai was there, blocking the bolt with his... hand? and launching a nearby lamp towards their temporarily stunned assailant. Before she could further comprehend Zarai's action, she quickly raised her holdout blaster and fired a trio of stun bolts towards the attacker. Her aim was true, and the man dropped like a rock.

"Your hand!" She moved to grab his arm and examine what she thought would be a hideous burn mark. "Wha..? There's no burn." Did he miss? No, it would have definitely hit his hand judging from its trajectory.

Looking pointedly at him and raising an eyebrow, she made it clear through her gaze that she would want answers later. Then, she swiftly moved across the room, disarming their assailant and shutting the door once more.
"They were after one of us, probably me, since its my room."

It would make sense, Anri would undoubtedly have made enemies with her swift rise in the weapons industry, and some of said enemies would try to remove her with less... legitimate means.

Anri was evidently an accomplished shot, proving this by swiftly felling their attacker without issue. Spying the look on her face upon realising his method of defending her, Aizahk chose to feign ignorance of Anri's concerns for now. Instead, he simply stared back at her until she pulled away. Once the door was shut, Aizahk began to mull over the situation. "I'm not sure it's that simple..." Whilst it made sense that she might be targeted on the grounds of her business ventures, what didn't make sense to Aizahk was the fact that the ship had come to a complete halt. "Seems a little too coincidental that the ship would randomly stop, then somebody would try to kill us. If they were only simply coming for you, why would they commandeer the ship? Surely they'd just kill you and disappear? Hmm..." It all seemed a bit elaborate. Aizahk crept back towards the door and pressed his eye against the door viewer. Outside he spied a few figures, marching up and down the halls. Across the way, he noticed that the door to the adjacent room was wide open. A sudden pair of red flashes illuminated the room momentarily, before another figure emerged once again. Turning back to Anri, and gesturing silently for her to have a look, Aizahk stepped away from the door.

Replacing Zarai at the door, Anri carefully peaked out and watched a number of unknown armed men walking through the hallway.
"You're right, it seems like something more elaborate. Looks like they're going into other rooms as well."

She counted around a half-dozen of the men in the hallway. Assuming they were hostile like the one that she and Zarai had disabled, it would be tough to get out of the situation.

Eventually, one of the men looked over at their door, starting to move over towards where Anri was hiding.
"Oi, Zarashan, what's taking you so long?" He must have been referring to their unknown assailant.

Ducking back into the doorway, she motioned towards Zarai, whispering,
"There's another one coming, get your lamp ready."
