DESCRIPTION
Known as the "Vapor Maker" the R-10B Cut its teeth on heavy fighting in the outer Rim where close engagements were common among less civilized worlds. a single Infantryman equipped with this weapon would be able to lay down a short burst of heavy blaster fire, holding back oncoming enemies or gunning down large numbers of them very quickly. it could either be set in Semi-automatic or Full-auto depending on the needs of the soldier, making this weapon highly versatile. its forward grip could be flipped to a position horizontal to the ground, allowing a soldier to fire the weapon on full auto with a greater deal of control, this of course would be at the sacrifice of accuracy. the heat sink on the front dispersed the heat produced by the high rate of fire and could be replaced when worn out thanks to the Ceramic coated locking lugs located at the base of aforementioned heat sink. this weapon was equipped with standard 25 round magazines of high-energy plasma, which while sacrificing high capacity, gave it an impact well worth the sacrifice.

LEGALITY
Highly Illegal on civilized worlds like those in the core and mid rim. Outside wild space and the Outer Rim these weapons would likely be a one-way ticket to a police raid. Most often used by Criminal organizations within those regions.

INTENT
The intent of the weapon was to lay down heavy blaster fire during close engagements and to offer soldiers on the safer end of the weapon a blaster which could bring heavy damage to enemy units.the philosophy behind the weapon has less to do with killing and more to do with maiming, leaving the enemy with many wounded men and slowing down their movement and destroying their morale. A truly Barbaric weapon for a more Barbaric Age.

Main thing I see about this weapon is that heavy damage is actually counter to your intent. Heavy damage kills, not maim. If you wanted to maim and have a barbaric weapon you would probably want to use something less effective at outright killing than heavy.

Each of the other existing heavy blaster rifles that currently exist are at least 1 meter long and also weigh 7 kg minimimum and they are also older and more primitive designs too so I would think this weapon would also be roughly around the same area.

Only repeaters can do fully automatic and the only one that has been approved so far this TL has been explicitly stated to not be usable in PvP and that was just light damage and with even more cumbersome characteristics than what a rifle would have.

Hi! Thanks for the assistance! Not a problem for the Damage, The Auto Cap. And intent. I will correct those. But with respect this weapons dimensions are pretty much the same as your average Heavy rifle IRL. I looked at the Weight of various Battle rifles rifles:
-The Cetme Model 58, 4.49 kg
-The HK G3 @4.38KG-5.54 KG (with heavy optics) .
-The SVD 63 @5.03KG
-The FN FAL @4.25-6KG
-The M14 @4.85KG
-The M1 Garand @5.3KG
-The Fedorov Avtomat @ 4.4KG
But with all that said I shall tack on an Extra KG to help even things out! :)
Thiss a fairly average weight weapon meant to be carried for infantry, And 1 meter in length is just a ridiculously long length for weapons meant for CQC I mean lets be honest: No one is really gonna be kicking in doors using a blaster that needs an extra foot of Clearance. The length on this weapon is comparible with the CETME which I actually own one so I just used it as a sort of RL Stand in when coming up for the dimensions.

You make valid points, but the thing to consider is that SW tech rarely corresponds to RL tech. Your comparing a plasma based imaginary weapon with a real life projectile based weapon. Different mechanics, which would impact the size and weight. Would be best to compare with other submitted and approved weapons as Dara listed out. The comparison should be to other approved heavy blaster rifles and not RL weapons.

So, unfortunately, this thing really isn't going to work. Full auto fire with Heavy damage that is infantry portable... there's really not a precedent for it in canon that I can find. Sorry.
