Well as far as trade negotiations went, the follow up return to meet with the directors of Thead Plasma tech was perhaps, rather fortunately little more than a series of formalities and follow ups from the last meeting. Perhpas it was more the disappointing fact that for several days of interstellar travel in Hyperspace, the meeting had lasted little longer than three hours - though it was by the Governor's own choosing, electing to avoid video conferences over the Holonet and take the more direct approach and meet in person, that way she would be able to better persuade the directors into agreeing alternative terms.

Still atleast there was of course one upside to her days of travel, Alyse would be able to visit 'The Jumping Gungan' a niche little restaurant that overlooked Lake Paonga. Standing and leaning against the railing of the upper terrace the blonde figure stood there, watching as the various lights of the surrounding buildings and the towering Royal palace shimmered over the still water.

Her quiet revere seemed to continue for felt like hours, contently staring out into the nightscape of the Nubian Capital City, breathing deeply both physically and through the Force, feeling the life that radiating throughout her surroundings. Whilst many of her fellow servents of the Darkside would see it as a lesser trait to reach out and feel how the Force flowed through all life around her - with many Sith dismissing it as being 'Jedi Garbage'. But for the blonde Bakuran, there was something of a beneficial quality, just for using that moment to simply reflect and take stock and getting a feel of the atmospherics of the denizens around her - almost as if it was a means of reading the room, knowing whether there was high levels of tension, anger or rejoice.

A light smile curled at the edge of her lips as she pushed herself away from the edge of the railing and stepped towards her table, nodding politely to the waiter who had finished setting out a small plate of finger food and a glass of crimson wine. Sitting down and relaxing into the depths of the padded seat, the young blonde sighed as she reached for the glass and lifted it from the table, swirling the crimson liquid in the glass for a moment before inhaling the rich earthy tones, savouring the scent for a moment before taking a sip of the aged wine. A light satisfied sigh escaping her lips as she set the glass back down onto the table and reached over for a rather worn and weathered leather bound book, the words Lectures on the Nature of the Force, only just visible on the crumpled spine where the original gold leaf etching had flaked off over the years.

With a bit of luck this would be the perfect recipe for a relaxing evening, before she would have to venture back to her home world to resume her senatorial duties once again.

Naboo, a beautiful planet with a rich history for those who knew where to find it. Oren was familiar with bits and pieces, it had been instrumental in the fall of the old republic of the past, and the rise of the Old Empire. Yet, the planet continued on, life seemed to permeate and fill the planet.

The people of Naboo formed a perfect symbiosis with the Gungans who lived away in the middle of nature, this was they cycle of the galaxy, and the Jedi Master understood this. But, today was not a day for reflection on the natural state of the galaxy nor symbiosis between sentient life and the rest of the galaxy.

Unfortunately the Jedi Councilor was here on a mission, with the galaxy in turmoil and the Jedi on the brink of breaking due to the events on Ajan Kloss, Oren had been forced to take a far greater threat of the galaxy at the hands of the Sith -- and that meant all hands were needed. Today's job was rather simple, he was to join a Free World Ambassador to the planet of Naboo who was meeting with lesser nobles on discussions of import duties.

There would be no treaty of importance signed, it was simply a discussion, but that didn't mean it couldn't serve to be a danger. Perhaps the mission was a little overkill for the Councilor to be involved, but it felt good to be traveling alone again -- it reminded him of his days as Jedi Knight.

Dressed in a set of Naboo guard attire, Oren's saber had been hidden away during the meetings. They were mostly dry and boring, with little substance to be shared. When the time came for an evening meal he had been dismissed and sent outside to take a break -- while the others spoke in private.

Oren would step out onto the Outdoor patio with a gentle sigh. A sense of peace seemed to sprawl across the lake that looked out towards the city of beauty. Removing his officer cap, the Jedi master would run his hand through his greying blonde hair as he made his way towards the railing to rest. Turning to look out to the small crowd that had gathered for a nice evening out, he couldn't help but feel the warmness of it all.

His eyes shifted aimlessly, until catching the glance of a blonde haired woman who sat alone. The disguised Jedi Master would offer a toothy smile as he tipped his officer's cap her way. What that sign of pleasantries would lead to, Oren had no idea.

A slight smile curled on her lip as she looked up from from the pages of her book, whilst initially her gaze had been directed towards the glass of wine on her table, she had caught sight and made eye contact with the disguised Jedi Master. A nod being offered in return for the tip of the man's cap, before her chestnut hued eyes panned over the attire that the man was wearing, the blue fatigues and brown leather tunic, hat and gloves making him instantly recognisable as being one of the Nubian guards.

With a slight twist of her hand she closed her book and set it down onto the table before reaching over for the waiting glass of wine, before directing her attention back towards the man, who despite the relatively crisp and clean appearance of his attire, it was evident that the 'guard' had seen better days, through the scarred and weathered features visible on the man's face.

"You're going to be standing around for quite a while" Alyse spoke out before taking a few sips from the crimson hued liquid. "Meals with dignitaries can go on for several hours at best" She added as she set the glass down and gestured towards the interior of the restaurant, a knowing expression crossing her features, before she gestured towards the vacant seat beside her.

"Offering me a seat, are you?" The Jedi Master would say in a strange Core World accent.

It was one that he had learned to adopt and pick up during his time in the Coruscant prison. There was something roguish about his features, perhaps he gave off an air of superiority that only a notorious bounty hunter could moxie. With a gentle smile and an innocent wink, the disguised Master would make his way towards the table and would slide into the seat. "That may be against protocol."

As he placed his officer's cap upon the table, "You sound as if you have experience in this ordeal." Oren would lean in against the table, his mechanical hand resting against the top of the table, "Your husband one of these nobles?"

"Well the offer is there, however I won't be offended if you choose to remain at your post" Alyse spoke out, as a polite yet teasing smile curled on the edge of her lips. Before reaching over to pick up her glass of wine so to take another sip from the beverage, and then proceeding the lean back into the padding of her seat.

An inquisitive eyebrow arched on her features as the disguised Jedi stepped closer, and proceeded to take the offered seat, airing his thoughts and suspicions that she was all to familiar with the fact that dinners with nobles can have the habit of overrunning, a slight questioning look flashing on her features as he then proceeded to question whether her husband was in the meeting. "You must be new" The governor chuckled.

"The Jumping Gungan isn't really a spot for the Dutiful wives of nobility to frequent" Alyse stated, before taking a sip from her wine, casing a curious glance over the rim of the glass. "Typically you will find deals are finalised here and frequented by trade executives, working nobles, politicians" She continued offering an explanation to the clientele that often frequent the establishment. "I fall into the latter" Alyse added, before guesturing to herself and placing the glass of wine back onto the table.

"Governor Ti'Varnus" the blonde introduced herself with a polite smile and bowing of her head.

The Captain persona would lean back in his seat as he gave a simple smirk at her twinge at the mention of a husband. Keeping up with the act, Oren would simply shrug as he brought his hands back behind his head. "New to Naboo? Sort of. But, I've been around this galaxy and I've seen a number o' things darlin'."

In truth, Oren had seen many things, many he wished he had never, and earlier on his Jedi Career, there seemed to be something insane occurring on each and every planet the near human visited. He listened as she gave a simple explanation of the evening's venue, Oren could pick up on that much as he leaned forward a bit.

"Governor Ti'Varnus," he'd say as he brought the name to memory. His green and white eye would focus in on the curves of her face and her short blonde locks with interest. "I suppose it's an honor for someone in my position." He'd say as he picked up his Officer's cap and placed it on his head.

"Captain Thrash, veteran of Third Corporate Sector War." The Man would give a playful tip of his hat before removing it, "So tell me, do you invite every Mercenary Captain you see to have drinks with you -- or am I just the lucky choice Governor?" His words were playful and with them, the worries of the galaxy would slowly slip away for the time being. Is this how it feels to be truly normal, with no powers and abilities.. Simply alive and living..

A slight smile curled on her lips. As she quizzically looked at the Nubian guard. "perhaps for now.... Though I would imagine Captain Thrash, before a standard month is out, you will be sick of escorting Politicians around" Alyse commented, allowing the faintest trace of a snigger to cross her lips. The name being offered by the guard seemed almost too cliché, it had to be unreal. Captain Thrash, of the third corporate sector war., it was something you'd expect so see plastered all over an action figure line and accompanying animated holo series, rather than being offered by a grizzled looking guard who clearly had seen the inside of more bacta tanks than any of the swollen and bloated nobles this man was protecting, could say they could see their own feet.

Pursing her lips as she pondered the man's question, the Governor curious examined the man, he seemed to be fishing for information on her. Husband? Is it a frequent occurance that she invites any random mercenary to drink with her - if she wasn't being polite, the blonde would likely have slapped him and stormed off. Though perhaps it was military esq banter rather than an implication that she was a floosy.

"Perhaps it might be that I am feeling charitable" Alyse commented in initial response before sliding a hand over towards her pack of tobbac sticks, retrieving one and lighting it. "perhaps it is more the case that in three or so hours, I will be travelling back to my home world and looking to make the most of conversing with someone living, beforehaving to contend with with a droid for nearly 30 hours" Alyse continued, before taking a drag from her tabbac stick, and blowing a plume of smoke off to her side. "So Captain Thrash, entertain me with a conversation"

The Jedi Master would sigh as he focused his eyes on the woman, there was something about her, the posture, the way her fingers moved with elegance as they wrapped around the smoke. Oren could tell that she was calculating and appeared to be steps ahead of almost anyone in the galaxy. Such a skill was valuable or dangerous, depending on who held access to such power. If there was one thing in all of the galaxy that Oren lacked, was a political game.

His face flinched, as he crossed his arms, "I'm not trying to imply that you're looking for something in particular," he'd say with a bit of a nervous chuckle as the markings on the near humans' face began to flush red with emotions. He hadn't felt this terrible with his words in what seemed to be close to five years. Images of Rishi and the beach came to him, and he closed his eyes. There was a conflict there, something he had debated for a long time within himself.

Come on now, we're gonna have this debate now. Emotions, yet peace. The master's mind told himself as he took a deep breath. Fumbling with his words, the fake captain would run his hand through his hair, "Charity? Well, I could make a large donation.." The words came out with a forced smoothness, that Oren clearly lacked -- which caused the marks on his face to only grow a dark blood red.

"Well, how about a walk instead? I...well don't feel too hungry right now." Force be damned, I blundered this one. Thankfully Nara wasn't here to see it.

A light amused chuckle escaped the blonde governors lips, as the combat ravaged mercenary captain in front of her seemed to flounder with his words. For a mercenary captain, with a name that was befitting a Holo action film series, the words fitted the persona to a degree, but the tell tale signs ranging from the nervous chuckle, the flushing of his features seemed to contradict the macho persona she would expect to see with the military inclined. If at anything he seemed to be like a stereotypical Jedi Padawan being forced to endure a lap dance within a Corsucanti under level strip club - perhaps the macho bravado shown by these mercenaries were just a façade.

Nodding to the suggestion of taking a walk instead, the blonde pursed her lips thoughtfully for a moment, before beckoning over one of the waiters. "I believe that is us done now, please charge this to my account" Alyse spoke, as she gestured towards the half eaten spread sat upon the table. Before gathering her effects and packing them away into her satchel, followed by the book she had been reading before the disguised Jedi approached her.

Picking up her outer shawl and throwing it over her shoulders, wearing the woollen garment as a cloak, before following the guard's lead down from the restaurant terrace and onto the lake side promenade. Her hands clasping in front of her lap as she walked inline with the Mercenary, her poise and posture being what was expected of someone of her political standing. Her Gaze moving away from the path and the odd sideways glance towards the Captain beside her, her eyes looking over to the tranquil waters of the Nubian lake. "I must admit I do enjoy coming to Naboo, Its a welcome respite from having to contend with bickering senators"

The Jedi could see the musing on the woman's face, was she laughing at his social ineptitude? He would have her know that he was once all the rage in the Jedi Temple, even after the burns to his near human face. He just had to shake a little bit of that Raxus Prime rust off and things would be all well and good -- or so Oren hoped.

As the two departed from the little patio and onto the greater walkways that overlooked the brick palaces and tranquil forests, Oren could feel the sensation of life that rippled and echoed across the lake and beyond. Deep below the water life was roaring and hidden kingdoms of the Gungans lived in co-existence with the sentient life above.

The disguised figure would offer her an arm as they walked, the two of them close as they paused to look out across the great reflection of water. "There is a peace here, though if you know where to look -- you can find it almost anywhere." The mercenary would say quietly, "I learned to find it during the war. This to me, I don't know why, but it feels like the natural state -- how things are supposed to be, you know?"

He would turn to face the woman with a soft smile formed on his face. Perhaps even in the plain words, Oren had given too much away about his thoughts, his ideas. But, he couldn't help it, "You have very pretty eyes." He'd say in a soft tone.

Following her gaze in the same direction as the mercenary captain, the blonde governor pursed her lips as she listened to his contemplations, a slight arch forming on her eyebrow as the man spoke of being able to find peace almost everywhere, if you knew where to look for it. Her curiosity if not already peaked had certainly started to raise after he continued, mentioning about how he had learnt to do so during the war - though it wasn't so much the finding peace that had caught her intrigue, but rather the mention of the natural state.

Sighing slightly as she leant forwards against the railings, the blonde mulled over the words a little, the belief that the natural state of the Galaxy being peace was something that would likely be attributed to the Jedi, since after all chaos and change was how the Sith viewed the natural state of the Force and the Galaxy. But the Sith Lord appreciated that those beliefs weren't just confined to the two opposing orders of Force wielders, many religions and societies had the same mirroring views. it was foolish to assume that it was just the reserve of the Jedi and Sith who fought over these beliefs.

"I suppose it makes sense, when you are stuck in the trenches and struggling to find a sense of peace in the chaos" Alyse spoke out thoughtfully, as she twisted her head to the side slightly to look towards the man through the corner of her eye. "Often hear that no one trapped in a foxhole without some form of faith" she added before returning her gaze out towards the still lake infront of her. Her brow furrowing as she pursed her lips in thought, before a sigh escaped her lips. "But then again, without chaos the Galaxy would fall into stagnation and decay" the blonde continued after a brief silence, her features showing a contemplative side to her. "As controversial as it may sound, sometimes the galaxy needs a moment of strife to reinvigorate the life within it's reaches" she added, before her gaze and attention turned to fully face the mercenary. "It is as much a endless cycle as the changing of the seasons, winter brings long bitterly cold days bathed in darkness, but it also paves the way for rebirth and renewal. Its learning to appreciate and make the most of the moments of joy and pleasure that you can find during that endless cycle"

Whilst the moment wrapped up with philosophical talk, seemed to have passed. The blonde couldn't help but get caught off guard by the statement that would then come from the man's lips. She had half expected a rebuttal, but instead received a compliment over her eyes, which in turn caused her features to flush in response for a few moments as she tried to regain her composure. Her lips moving about as if she was uncertain whether to pout, smile or remain thoughtful, she had trained and honed herself to deal with being caught off guard on so many fronts, aggressive press questioning, counter arguments from opposing politicians, fighting face to face against pirates, cultists and even Jedi. But this, no this was certainly something she had not prepared for. After a moment of looking stupefied by the Man's compliment, the Sith Lord's features finally settled on a light smile. "Thank you... I guess..." the blonde uttered, before pausing for a moment. "... it is down to your company" She offered with a light chuckle. "Being able to talk freely about the finer points of philosophy is refreshing, a luxury that is seldom afforded in a position of High Office."

Oren would lean up against the railing, taking in the gentle breeze upon his face. He listened as the politician spoke about finding peace within chaos. it was a sentiment that the Jedi themselves hold. Chaos, Yet Harmony. The words seemed to ring more and more as of late, though Oren felt as if it was getting harder to recognize if the sentiment was true. The galaxy was waking up to the threat that had been unveiled to the galaxy.

"Stagnation can be combatted through change, yes." He'd say as he turned to meet her gaze, "But, if this so called cycle of things is true, doesn't the stagnation breed new stagnation, the progress of the galaxy and its systems never truly learning to overcome the failures of the previous? Perhaps, it is only us to blame, for we have twisted what we see to fit a narrative that helps appease our views on the galaxy. Maybe, change can come without violence, without war. Maybe it cannot, but I find it hard to believe that everything is predestined to be this way."

He would pause, as he saw the warmth take to her cheeks, his own lips twitched into a bit of a smile--was this how life was for the rest of the galaxy, for those who did not have the feeling of the force weighing upon their shoulders? She spoke of learning to enjoy moments of Joy, and Pleasure, pleasure was something the Jedi had tried to avoid for it was hard to break -- like a drug. What he sought was happiness, and happiness was something that he had been lacking for years now.

The Jedi Order no longer helped him, it left him with more stress and pressure than he could ever feel, the feeling of Nashyr's death and the destruction on Ajan Kloss only splintered the Jedi Order as a whole. He wished to be free of it, and cut from the mortal coils of servitude that the Jedi Order requested.

Perhaps it was selfishness, but he had just grown so tired with the constant failing and the shifting views of the Order. He was tired of the failings of himself and his own hubris, he wanted to simply live a normal and peaceful life. If this is what life entailed, then why wasn't he allowed to enjoy it, and accept the good with the bad? There were so many questions that needed answered, he needed to center himself and simply let go, but that was far more difficult than one would realize.

The disguised Jedi would bring his mechanical hand up towards her rose colored cheek and would trace his fingers along the bone, "I know that feeling..." He'd say with a pause, "..and I know that you have to leave soon. But, it doesn't have to be the last time we meet. This job is almost finished, and after that, I only need to take care of something that's been building inside of me, something I've pushed off for far too long."

He would look away from her and towards the lake, "I... Think I'm done being a soldier, I want to help people, but I can't seem to help myself. I've suppressed my emotions for far too long, and lost that spark. What I do after that, I'm not sure."

His words escaped his throat, as he processed his ideas, letting the silence build up around them, "I know, great ambitions for someone pursuing after a member of High Office. But, you know...if there is something, you and I could go somewhere and I'll tell you everything about me."

Flinching a little as the mechanical appendage reached up to brush at the side of her cheek, partly out of response from the contact of cold metal on her skin - but mostly due to the unexpected contact and advance made the disguised Jedi, the blonde wasn't one for displays of affection. Often being in part to her station within Bakuran society, cold and isolating in persona. Being regarded to and addressed with an air of deference, the display of affection was something that whilst was pleasant - certainly was not what the Sith Lord was used to, nor had she expected from the mercenary soldier.

Alyse's eyes narrowed as she regarded the mercenary as he continued to speak, in response to her comment about enjoying the man's company and the ability to express her own views on philosophy, before reasoning that whilst he was aware that the blonde was due to depart back to her home world, it didn't need to be the last time they met. Swiftly followed by the confession that something was building up within the man that he had to attend to, the words eliciting a curious expression over the Governors features.

The curiosity on her expression intensifying as the mercenary continued, the blonde pursing her lips in thought as he spoke about suppressing his emotions for so long as his life as a soldier. A light sigh escaping her lips as she turned her gaze back out towards the lake where the man had been staring off to, her eyes looking briefly off towards the mercenary for a moment, reading the expression on his features. "Suppressing emotions is dangerous Emotions are a natural part of life, they are what helps us grow. Fear and anger for example, the two basic responses to danger that give us and even the lowest of creatures our ability to survive through fight or flight" Alyse spoke, with a slight sigh. "Sure its easier not to confront them, but if you allow them to pent up. You will put your own well being at risk, not just mentally. But also physically" She cautioned, being careful not to openly declare that emotions should be harnessed and embraced - after all with all the Anti Force user sentiment that was cascading throughout the galaxy, saying something that perhaps even remotely sounded like what ill informed laymen could perceive as being Sith or Jedi like would be enough to fuel a potential witch hunt.

Pursing her lips in thought, the blonde reached into the folds of one of the pockets over her attire, fishing out a small data card and holding it within the confines of her hand. Before turning to face the mercenary beside her directly. "Unfortunately I cannot delay my return in this instance" Alyse spoke, as she gently placed her hand onto the Jedi's, depositing the data card onto the Jedi's palm. "But we can still keep in contact" the governor added, offering a faint smile. "This contains my secure Holonet contact details. Let me know when you are ready, and I'll find an opportunity for us to meet"
