The logo of the ISC would be displayed proudly and without music before being replaced on the screens of those watching by Secretary Carrick of the ISC himself, standing behind a podium looking stern and, perhaps, a touch solemn. As the camera view widens to take in the whole of the stage, showing that Carrick was accompanied by the dark-skinned woman from the announcement declaring the formation of the ISC Military, Fleet Admiral Scora Izer.

She stands at attention by his side and Carrick takes a breath and, more importantly, is seen by millions of people across the holonet to be taking a breath as well. Taking a second to calm himself to give a measured response - he was already calm, honestly, but people didn't trust people who were calm when terrible things were happening. They liked to be led by people who were able to appear calm, able to control themselves despite how them feeling the same way the general public did.

Shocked and appalled were the main emotions tonight.

"People of the Galaxy, tonight I stand before you not for anything worthy of celebration but to declare that the ISC is not blind to the plight of others. As we speak, the world of Firrerre is in Flames."

He gestured to the Fleet Admiral beside him.

"Fleet Admiral Scora Izer will be leading one of the Three-Fold Fleets of the ISC to Firrerre with an attached aid and medical convoy. Though we are not part of the war that has called down this attack onto the people of Firrerre, we will not stand by and allow them to suffer in the fires of war. As part of this outreach, citizens of Firrerre will also be accepted into the ISCRA program currently underway as well - with the fleet and accompanying convoy prepared to take many civilians away from the danger zone as they are able to bring."

Carrick leaned forward.

"Let me be clear; this is NOT a declaration of war or of allegiance to one side in the current conflict. But the Three-Fold Fleet will return fire on anyone who makes the decision to open fire - regardless of which side takes that shot. Thank you, but that is all for today. Please join me in wishing Fleet Admiral Izer and her convoy Godspeed and good luck."

Corporal Ryan Fields was attending an emergency leaders meeting at the time of the attack. Over the holo he could see the attack the Sith were dealing to the world of Firrerre. It was no secret the Sith and FWA were at war and destroying each other's planets, but the civilians were suffering. They had done nothing wrong wrong yet, they pay for only living life on a planet. It was sickening to watch. Cpl Fields already planned on leaving to save the civilians, and his orders were just confirmation.

As Secretary Carrick continued to speak, he listened to the mission being given. He knew it would be bad to get involved too much, but this was necessary. He was ready to help the Civilians as would his crew be. He turned and left the room swiftly running to the Squad's locker room. It was time to prep.

"Alright Honey Badger's, get suited up we leave in 20 mikes! Got us some orders to Firrerre. Evac as many civilians as possible. Hurry up let's go!"

Immediately, Cpl Fields ran to his armor set and began to suit up. Firrerre, fear not. Honey Badger's are on the way.

Dr. Morata wasn't a woman of very many words. Actions spoke louder; the moment there was the word of another planet being assaulted, she had immediately prepared for the convoy to FWA space. She was dressed in emergency medical gear, the face mask pulled down. Behind her was a ship's wall; in the distance, there was feedback of voices as crew were following with Admiral Izer. They would waste no time making broadcasts; the situation was dire already, and they had some ground to cover. Actions, not words, seemed necessary.

She wasn't a politician. She wasn't some speaker of the people, and though she had done her duty providing research for the vaccine, she wouldn't sit idly by and let another planet fall into flames without coming to its' aid. So instead she stepped into the control room herself, and all voices hushed faces turned to her. These were people that had suffered so much with her; these were her people, the ones she would protect with her life, and they all chose to leave with her.

"Let's leave with the Defiance and all emergency personnel. We leave at once. Bring survivors to one of the medical checkpoints in FWA space and prepare for emergency treatment, with approval from the GHO. Contact Senator Korre."

The corvette's engines hummed to life, and she leaned back into her seat, frowning at the cold pit in the base of her stomach. She couldn't help but feel something was wrong, terribly wrong with what had happened. This was more than mere conquest, but a deliberate, practically genocidal assault... and for what reason? Firrere was an FWA planet, but there were others that would have been more lucrative for takeover. But not to be glassed. A fierce assault out of nowhere... and after one Sith's broadcast as well. Something didn't add up.

...I have a bad feeling about this.

The bridge continued to bustle with activity. Alex was impressed by the efficiency with which the Mon Calamari turned the MC80 bridge into a mobile command center. Reports poured in from across the galaxy. This was a crisis on a truly inconceivable scale. Stolas’ invasions had been brutal, terrible, things but they left the planets intact. Stolas sought to conquer…to rule. This was madness. No one rules the ashes. Alex’s focus flicked to the holonews again. Secretary Carrick was suddenly on the screen. She listened carefully before making a split-second decision. “Captain, I need secure coms to Secretary Carrick, Dr. Morata, and Jedi At’arel…I’ll take it in the secure room.” (@Nefieslab @Phoenix @Killa Ree)

The stoic Mon Calamari captain nodded while Alex headed into the adjacent room. A high-pitched chirp let her know the link was ready. “Carrick, Ilana, Zathria, I know we are not fully ready but if ever there was a time for a Mercy ship…that time has arrived.” Her words were rushed. “I have healers on standby.” Alex had a handful of Jedi with her on MC80. They would serve in a pinch as well. “We must act quickly.”

She flipped the com off, moving over to a side panel. She sent a message directly to Carrick. “We need to talk, Secretary. As soon as we can.” Alex sent the message with a flick of her wrist. She pushed Emil and the FWA to fight. She was hesitant of doing the same with the ISC. Carrick had proven a trustworthy ally but the Consortium disliked Force users. That made Alex nervous. The Jedi could not afford to trust the wrong people. It would prove disastrous. What she could do, is change their minds on what they thought of the Order. That was what she would do.

A blue flash from her datapad would alert Korre to the situation. She kept the thing on emergencies only this late at night, so when the cool-toned hue appeared she spun around to check it immediately. It read: [!] 1 new message from Ilana Morata. Furrowing her brows under her glasses, Korre quickly tapped the password into the device and opened the message. The color disappeared from her face.

Ilana (@Killa Ree ) would received a reply soon after. Permission was, of course, granted. The senator quickly threw on a coat and shoved her feet into shoes and made haste to her office. The doctor would receive another message shortly after: Korre was sending additional corvettes to aid in the evacuation. They would be enroute within 15 minutes, as would she. The senator would arrive at the FWA medical checkpoint to begin preparations, or if she arrived late, to help oversee the activities.

Governor Archer could honestly say this wasn't what she'd expected to see on the holonet today. An out the way border planet of the Free Worlds set aflame by a Sith fleet? Not conquered and occupied, not a precision strike. Just burned by fire from above. It didn't fit how previous attacks had gone in the least.

While aides and workers gasped Jade was more concerned with how much sense something like this did or didn't make. There must be a reason for this change. At the moment, however, that wasn't her chief concern. The Governor of Llanic's only concern was doing the job she'd clawed her way into doing and sometimes that meant media appearances.

Shortly after Secretary Carrick's announcement Governor Archer sent a message of her own.

"Taking action to send aid is a decision the Llanic system stands fully behind. This brutal on attack on Firrerre came as a surprise to all of us." By all reports the only forces who had been around to defend the system were their own tragically insufficient ones. Jade looked down and looked deeply sorrowful, shaking her head slowly side to side.

"The ISC must recognize that the threat of the Sith was underestimated. " Her head came up, a fire burning behind bright blue eyes. "But we remain united in the cause of helping who we can. I echo Secretary Carrick's statement: Even if we are not part of it, the ISC will not allow the people of Firrerre to suffer in the fires of war." She paused in her speech.

"That's why shuttles of relief and medical supplies from Llanic will be joining the Third Fleet and any survivors will be welcome here if they choose. In times like these it is our duty to help those who need it most. We must, and we are." And with that the message cut out and Jade stepped away from the holocamera.

Her expression immediately changed from sympathetic to thoughtful. These events had been horrific, truly, but it also shed light on some very important things. Jade would need to keep an eye on this.
