DESCRIPTION
The Pugio-class Frigate was initially designed by collaboration between The Citadel on Exegol and Sienar-Janus Fleet Systems. Initially designed alongside the Raider III, but due to the later being based off an older design was the quicker of the two to move into full production. Moving on from the anti-starfighter role of the Raider, the Pugio is built to harass ships of similar and larger size, its better speed and manoeuvrability allowing the ship to flank larger Capital Ships and use its large variation of armaments to pester weaker points in enemy shield systems.
Like its sister ship the Pugio can be deployed both as part of a larger fleet but also to patrol the endless darkness between the Sith Empires home worlds. One of the most noticeable features of the ship is its large communications dish, allowing the ship to easily monitor enemy systems, fleet movements and bases and report back without having to use a waypoint or physically moving to a closer location.
As with most ships coming out of the Exegol shipyards, the lack of time to produce a large number of these has meant that they have been built to last, with powerful deflector screen generators, thick armour plating and advanced targeting systems.
LEGALITY
Restricted. Pugio-class Frigate are classified as capital ships under Galactic law, and possess heavy weapons, making them difficult or impossible for civilians and even small factions to own. To date, however, this has been a non-issue, as they are exclusively built by the Exegol Shipyards for use by the Sith Order.INTENT
To create a dedicated faction specific Frigate for the Sith Imperial Navy.RESTRICTIONS
Pugio-class Frigate are large capital ships with heavy weapons, and capital ships cannot be owned or operated by individual characters. They are exclusive to the Sith Order faction.
