I was just having a chat with Naruto667 on skype and we came up to a really interesting question;

How do Battle threads, like Klatooine, weigh in on Promotions compared to Missions and Bounties?​

I'm certain that, at least they should be considered as equal to a Mission, but honestly since there is real risk of death, capture, etc, its more fair for a battle to be worth more, but I don't know if slapping a number on it is a good way to go. I don't think its intelligent of us to say that a Battle is worth 2 missions, or something, but we have to weigh it up, really.

Battle thread = 2 missions.

Winning a battle thread = hug from the entire faction.

I agree, I dont think battle threads should really be worth exactly two missions. Plus, battle threads like Klat are really great ways to earn a ring. While otherwise it would be extremely difficult.

Borga the Hutt	Lorda	Granee Lorda	He's the FL. ICly there is discontent with the Thyferra loss - even more than just Norbs. Gaja can't keep up, yo.
Vero the Hutt	Granee Lorda	Lorda / Archive (Gaja's call)	He's not the FL. ICly there is discontent with the Thyferra loss - even more than just Norbs. Gaja is busy and can't really fill the role in the way we need him to. (but we still love him)
Jack Tamblyn	Captain	Lorda	He's Jack Tamblyn. "Traditionally the highest rank a non-Hutt can achieve" means that exceptions are made.

Jaz? He has my vote. He's helped out a lot, has a lot of threads under his belt, as well as being the only constant poster in the Battle of Klatooine [which to me is a big achievement].

Not to mention he has my voucher for his promotion!

Hey you guys, something I just read and wanted to bring up with you guys. I saw Insoulent tell Bee that she could get promoted again, past Captain.

It's possible that I'm out of the loop a bit, hence me asking, but has the 'humans don't really go beyond Captain' rule changed?

Alright, since some folk aren't interested (it seems) in getting promoted… it think it might be time we sorta 'not so subtly' suggested a few people jump up. In particular from Kung->Enforcer. The hierarchal structure of the faction is heavily imbalanced with such a weighty scum-bucket.
So here is the list of current prospects;

Amethyst Me'kor Clarissa Specter Eric Silver Storic Yuya Samael Akraizyn Talanis Vang Kyro Lokki Rahkkin Huud Nodja Adiijac Ot'ookisii Ax Simone Colva Teller Xora Rzardi ​

And having had a really solid look through all these characters, below are the ones I believe we should invite to both apply for (and give) promotions.

• Zane Galla (Zay)
• Nodja Adiijac Ot'oojisii (Pureblood-Sin)
• Xora Rzardi (Befallen)

Ultimately, these three members have not only the threads behind them, but also the IC presence to step up and fill the role of Enforcer. They're all active, they're all here with great ideas, and I'd love to see them rewarded for that. (and at least give us a bloody promotion to announce for this month…)

I htink you mean Prospects/Kung here. And yes, those would be the three I would choose to promote. Although I would like to give them an incentive to start RPing their characters in the Cartel more, especially Befallen and Pure-blood.
