As promised, here is one of my changes for the Mandos. This will serve as the promotion guide for the Mandalorian faction from now on (at least while I'm the Mandalore). If you have any questions about it, as always, you are more than welcome to PM me about it anytime. I'm hoping that with these new guidelines, we will have not only more capable Mandalorians serving us, but that it will also get others active in the Mando faction.
1. To get from Recruit to Commando, you need to do one of the following;
First Option: Make a PC kill. Obviously, this is the easiest way to rank up, but Mandalorians are all about the battlefield. Get a PC kill and PM me the link to the RP, so that I can make sure it was done fairly and with Mandalorian tenets in use, and I will rank you up.
Second Option: As a raw recruit in the Mandalorians, unless you are Taung that is, you haven't been raised or trained in the Mandalorian culture or way of life. Get training from another Mando of higher rank and I will grant you a rank up. "Training" will consist of you going on a mission with your mentor. During this mission, said mentor will teach you the ways of the Mandalorians. Once this mission is complete, PM me with the link to the thread, and I'll look it over and grant you the rank up.
Third Option: I will tell you up front that this one will be more difficult. Defeat a fellow Mando of higher rank in the Battle Circle and PM me the link to the fight and I will rank you up.
2. To get from Commando to Private, please complete the following;
First Option: Again, a PC kill will ensure you a rank up to Private from Warrior.
Second Option: Take part in Hutt or Mando missions. Once you have done at least two with relative success, I will give you a rank up.
Third Option: Defeat a fellow Mando of higher rank in the Battle Circle and PM me the link to the fight and I will rank you up.
3. To get from Private to Corporal, please complete the following;
First Option: Again with the PC kill requirement, however, after this rank, you won't be able to rank up this way anymore.
Second Option: Complete two more missions as a Private with relative success and I'll give you the rank up.
Third Option: Defeat a fellow Mando of higher rank in the Battle Circle and PM me the link to the fight and I will rank you up.
4. To get from Corporal to Captain, please complete the following;
First Option: The only way to get to Captain is to prove yourself as a leader. Take command of two Hutt or Mando missions, or a squad of troops in a MAIN THREAD, and lead them to success and I'll grant you the rank up. I need to ensure my Captains and above are capable leaders.
5. To get from Captain to Commander, please complete the following;
First Option: Commanders are the battle hardened Mandalorians. They have experience in battle and leadership. To get to the rank of commander, complete missions as a Captain and participate in MAIN THREADS if you are able. Once you believe your Mando to be Commander material, PM with all relative thread links, including your character's profile, and a brief summary of why you think he should be a commander.
To get to any rank higher than commander, such as Lieutenant General, General, or Alor, you need to PM me with any threads you think may show me you are capable of holding this rank. These threads include training threads with other Mandos, mission threads, MAIN THREADS, etc. Along with it, send at least two paragraphs of why you think you should be in these ranks. I will tell you what you may or may not need to work on and give you further instruction from there. Sorry if this seems strict, but I need to make sure my higher-ups are more than capable of dealing with the enemy.
*NOTE: If you are a Hutt character transferring into the Mandalorians, all missions and MAIN THREADS you have completed during your time as a Hutt will count towards these goals.
**Also, anyone who completes a MAIN THREAD, regardless of rank, is eligible for a rank up. Simply PM me the necessary info and I'll get you where you need to be.
*** Regarding Marauders, please see Sid to have your Commando trained as one.
**** Lastly, regarding Clan Chieftains, please PM me for further information on how to become one. Please be aware that I will be EXTREMELY picky about who I chose to become one.
