Thalia stepped back as Roland injected the computer spike, the screen scrambling before settling and revealing the current coordinates. She looked over his arm and frowned, "Once I get off this ship, I am going to the core and never leaving." she groaned as he walked over to the door to lock from other slavers on board. Thalia walked over to the men fried with blaster bolts and looked for anything of value, still annoyed her belongings were gone and she helped herself to the credits on one of them.

She heard someone stir behind her and she turned, flipping to the stun setting on her blaster and firing a couple bolts into the thug so he would lay still. She looked back up at the Mandalorian, "How far are your guys? Do the rangers even come out this far?" she asked going back to the console.

Thalia flopped down in a pilot's seat, letting it spin from her momentum until she faced the Mandalorian, "Is it true Mandalorians are born in armor...like you're a different species all together..." she asked, eyebrow quirked.

Hearing Thalia's response Roland could only chuckle. He disliked the core and the over populated planets that couldn't sustain themselves. It irked him slightly and he wasn't afraid of stating how much he preferred working in the outer rim.

His helmet panned to keep the woman in sight even as she fired a few more stun bolts excessively into the prone form of a slaver. The Mandalorian wondered if he should say anything but then remembered their line of work and remembered that he disliked slavers immensely. He had done worse to people less guilty.

"We go where ever it's necessary." he said curtly and began accessing a separate panel. The ranger needed to send a signal to a legitimate source and report the situation. ++Sector Ranger Roland Rook, Badger Number ###### Piracy in progress. Coordinates following transmission++ The hooded ranger sent their location to the nearest relay. Ending the connection he pushed off from the terminal and looked toward Thalia, then down at the bodies on the bridge and then back up at the blond woman. "So...feel like getting our stuff?" His blaster raised in emphasis to show he was ready to clear the rest of the ship if need be.

"Huh...where ever necessary..." she repeated his words and looked around the bridge as he flagged in his coordinates to his superiors. Her slow turn to look at every corner eventually lead her gaze to fall back on the Mandalorian, still slightly disappointed he didn't answer her question about armor and literally come out of the womb with it...or perhaps they were not human and hatched with eggs. Clearly these were the in depth questions that deserved some answers.

When he was done, he turned his attention back to her, suggesting they should get their belongings. Instinctively she reached for her belt, but it was no longer there and she agreed, "Absolutely." she said while making a beeline to the door. She paused, waiting for her gut feeling to tell her to proceed or not, but when she could not feel anything out of the ordinary, she hit the panel to open the door, forgetting the Mando had locked it as it buzzed in defiance.

Thalia turned to look at Roland gesturing him do the honors to opening the door, she guessed he probably still wanted to lead.

It was clear that the younger woman was bothered or maybe just impatient. Roland was not in any particular hurry at the moment or showed any signs of eagerness in contrast. Even with his helmet on he generally kept to more smooth and cool headed expression.

Roland turned his head to see her staring at his armor. It was the same unfocused look that many others had given him as they wondered what was underneath and wondered about the mysterious warrior culture.

Opening the door he let Thalia take the lead this time. A gloved hand giving a gentlemanly offer for her to go first. Thalia would likely take point anyways but now he got the idea she was capable. The Sector Ranger locked the bridge door behind him to make sure nobody else got access before they returned. "You're handy with a blaster. What's your line of work again?" He asked as they made their way back through the corridors. The marks on the bulkheads and the signs of combat were still there but the smell of blaster discharge had dissipated and almost smelled stale now.

He didn't say a word as he opened the door and gestured for her to lead, she was surprised, thinking he was like most guys who enjoyed being in charge and goodness forbid anyone got into their way. However, she would take the offer, stepping out cautiously, the corridor was unusually quiet. She mentally tried to count how many guys they did take down and how many more remained to run ship as big as this one.

She kept her rifle ready just in case, pausing at corners to ensure they were not surprised by others. The Ranger asked her of her work and Thalia glanced at him, "My work?" she questioned, internally grimacing, "I'm into the trading business..." she explained vaguely, "Moving assets type deal."

Thalia looked at each of the doors, trying to be careful not to open all the cell doors, especially if their capturees were also the unpleasant and revengeful type.

From behind his visor, the Mandalorian gave Thalia a look."Woah, slow down, too much info." His tone was heavily laced with sarcasm. Roland doubted her words translated to slaving since she seemed to have obvious distaste for those that had taken them prisoner. Most likely that meant she was a smuggler or an arms dealer.

"I think a ship this size only has one or two more guards." He commented as he got close behind her to also see around the corner. "Leave the rest in their cells for now." He said as he saw the woman debating which doors to open. Roland did not feel like adding more to his plate since things were stressful enough as they were.

They passed by where the two of them had been held and continued heading towards the back of the ship. About halfway down one man stepped out into the hall with a blaster rifle. Roland's body tensed and brought his gripped his blaster rifle tightly and lunging further down the hall with his jump boots and to the side. The guard yelped as he fell back from the blaster impact. "They're com-!" He shouted before Roland switched to stun and fired a bolt into the man who was flat on his back, silencing the warning that was directed back the way the unconcious guard had originally come from

The weapon the man had been holding was different than the rest and he even had partial trooper armor. He and his accomplice had likely geared up after realizing Thalia and Roland had taken over the bridge. "Looks like they've armed themselves a bit more. Ready and waiting." He said and slung the E-11D rifle and exchanged it for the EE-3 carbine. The ranger hoped that whomever was waiting for them was alone and a total pushover. Now this is something worth filing a requisition form for

Thalia retracted her hand, passing by the door as per the Ranger's advice, she felt the same about not adding to their group, as far as Thalia knew, no one else could be trusted. They passed by their cell as they headed further across the ship; it felt empty but then again it did not and the twist in her stomach returned. She was more cautious, her blaster rifle now raised as they were surprised by another guard. Thalia ducked out of the line of the blaster fire while Roland leaped toward the enemy which she was just as shocked by the bold move as the thug.

As Roland fired a stun bolt into the signal, the blonde caught up with him, nodding in agreement as she watched him trade out his weapons. "I hope they are all in one spot so we can be done with this quickly." she said moving ahead, the tightness in her stomach was still there, intuition warning her to be cautious. She stopped at the double armored doors and she knew they were in there. Glancing at Roland she gave him a nod toward the door, reassuring she had a good feeling they were in there.

With her elbow, she slammed it into the control panel, opening the doors and the blaster fire immediately came. Thalia knelt down, returning fire in hopes to push them back.

Moving to one side of the doorway he prepared himself. Whomever was inside fired right away, not even waiting to see who it was coming through the door. If it had been the guard returning then they would have probably shot him. Roland reached his hand around and fired a hail of shots for covering fire to try and lessen the amount of incoming bolts. The stun rounds were still set and combined with Thalia's own weapon it sounded like they managed to hit someone.

A groan and the sound of a clattered weapon had Roland come through the door, blaster raised to see the armory. Blasters and some light armor, a section of mismatched weapons and various tools decorated the room. It was clear this was not a standard armory on a legitimate vessel. Everything was not organized well enough. Behind a table on thr ground was a twi'lek male with a blaster bolt in his left pectoral. He had been wearing a blast vest. There were no others so it seemed like the woman's lucky shot had stopped the last of the slavers on board.

Stepping closer to the prone and injured blue skinned man, Roland used a boot to kick the blaster he had been using before he could reach for it again. Firing a stun bolt into him, Roland crossed the room and searched through his confiscated equipment. "Let's put the live ones in a cell for the time being." He snatched a couple extra sets of binders. There were some they had shot that were now dead but the Mandalorian wasn't too worried about them. A response team was coming and with the ship secured they simply had to wait.

The air filled with the sound of blaster bolts scorching the floors and walls of the room while the air started to thicken with smoke. A groan echoed loudly and Thalia focused back on the one guy who was still firing at the two of them. He was clearly out numbered but was not going to give up; this annoyed Thalia, but within moments he was down also. Roland headed inside first and Thalia followed behind him, her rifle still raised, but she couldn't see anyone else who would be present. She looked at the Twi'lek that was hit with her bolt and shook her head before attention went back to the supplies in the room.

She started to dig through the stuff, frowning as her belongings were not easily found. The echoing of the stun bolt turned her attention to the Mandalorian, who directed to put the slavers in a cell for now. She slung her rifle over her shoulder and grabbed a handful of the slaver's collar and started to drag out the blue skinned slaver. "I got this one."

With a huff, she paused before continuing to drag the dead weight, "How long before your Ranger buddies show up?" she asked.

Roland had intended to just use binders for their arms or legs. But Thalia went straight for the slaver collars the crew had for the really unruly prisoners. High security prisons sometimes used them but it still told him something about how much distaste the woman had for slavers.

"First response probably just thirty minutes away, maybe less." As he began to drag one of the other bodies as well. It wasn't too difficult to get all the unconcious ones moved into cells. Roland returned to the bridge in time to see a blastboat drop out of hyperspace. "Damn, Otto. It figures you'd be the first to respond." The man said towards the ship. A moment later a hologram would show up giving the projection of a salt and pepper haired man with a smile on his face.

"I think the words you're lookin for is 'thanks Otto for coming to help.' You're buying first round." It was Roland's mentor and a fellow Ranger. His ship had a pretty good hyperdrive and since the man worked the outer rim like Roland the two tended to run into one another even in an expansive galaxy. "Deal. Dock your ship and come on board"

"You take out a slaver ship solo? Even for you...that's..."

"Nope. I had, help." Thalia was definitely helpful. In hindsight it felt good to have someone watching his back. It was abnormal for Roland still and Otto knew better than most. An entertained whistle came from the hologram and a mischievous look was obvious on the older Ranger's face. The next day or so he would be getting an ear full from Otto and teasing about working with others. <"shut up and get onboard old man"> He said and rolled his eyes and cut the link. As a matter of fact Roland wondered if he should suggest Thalia join the Rangers. The ride home would give them all plenty of time to talk, or think.
