When thinking about planets in the Imperial Hutta, people often thought about slum city worlds and desert worlds where people desperately tried to scratch up a living. They weren't wrong in some cases but, actually, a multitude of cities and planets actually thrived here and wouldn't have looked out of place in the core.

This planet, for example, was rather upscale and rather clean and polished.

Of course it was very different from any of the planets in the core or inner rim because there, if you couldn't pay your tab? You were in debt. Here, if you couldn't pay your tab, you were sold into indentured servitude for decades.

Needlessly to say, Eddard had made sure his accounts were topped up before arriving on the planet, where he now waited. The person he was supposed to be meeting knew where to find him, at the little cocktail bar with a view over the rest of the city, and would be along soon he was sure.

He hadn't ordered anything yet as he was fond of walking and talking and he planned to be doing some of both when his relative arrived.

Along with some drinking, perhaps.

Caliban Drast was not your conventional princeling. He actually sat so far down the in the Drast family tree that technically speaking he wasn't even a princeling. Every now and then though he liked to let people think that he was one. This was one of those moments. It was funny how far you could get if you simple stuck your nose high enough and acted like you belonged. It didn't matter how broke he was or how diluted his name was, he fit in.

Dressed in simple yet elegant clothes, just fine enough to make him fit in, his poise covering up for any shortcomings in how he was dressed, he sauntered into the bar and spotted the man he sought almost immediately. Unlike him, his relatives were mostly a civilized bunch, and this particular relative was no different. There were things that he could pull off that were probably impossible for someone like Caliban, as course as life in the dirt had made him, and there had been a time when Caliban might have held it against him. But he was pleasantly surprised that the years seemed to have worked their magic, as it no longer seemed to be the case.

"Cousin," Caliban uttered in greeting as he stepped up to the bar besides him and gestured towards the barkeep, "it has been some time." A slight smile on his lips, he leaned on one arm against the bar and almost casually pushed away the fork, spoon, and other cutlery that seemed to have been left behind on the bar counter by a previous patron.

Taking in the man, trying to see if the years had changed him like they had changed him, he let out a slight chuckle as the barkeep finally showed up to take their order. "Shall we drink to this reunion?"

Ah Caliban was here - he could feel his cousin in the Force before he saw him but that was to be expected to be honest. The two of them were family but that had never meant that the two of them had been the best of friends. Indeed, as children they had enjoyed poking fun at each other and he doubted that this was going to change.

Especially not considering Caliban's foolish political choices.

Noting the way his cousin moved the cutlery, he couldn't help the way that the corner of his mouth twitched upward, as if to smile, before he regained control of it.

"Cautious of cutlery still I see cousin."

They weren't really cousins - they were related but it was a distant relationship that basically meant that there wasn't actually a true term for them as relations so it was easier just to refer to each other as cousins. He dipped his head slightly both in recognition of the bartender and of the point that it had been some time.

"Waxed Wookie, please." he ordered from the bartender before humming, "It must be years since the last little reunion cousin of mine... we really must make more time for each other. Our elders would be appalled I'm sure."

His drink arrived and he smiled a little bit as the drink was prepared with fresh fruits and alcohol that was set on fire before being added to the drink.

"You'll love the Waxed Wookie cousin - very hard to poison covertly."
