Designed as a hybridization between cruisers and carriers, the Stronghold-Class Battlecarrier is given both heavy armament and impressive storage capacity; the balance, however, is an expensive one to achieve, and as such these ships are saved for specialized confrontations and not wasted on the more menial skirmishes.

The Stronghold-Class Battlecarrier fills a unique role on the battlefield. Either before or after unloading its fighter capacity, it can take up an efficient role in crippling otherwise engaged capital ships. Its thick armor plating allows it to take a few blows from equally-armed and some heavier-armed capital ships while its defenses and interceptors keep fighter squads at bay, allowing the ship's armaments to stall the main threat until the Stronghold-class Battlecarrier can line up its devestating Gauss Artillery Cannon.

The ship is useful for everything from deep space skirmishes to orbit-to-surface confrontations, its versatility evident in the carriage capacity in her docking bays. Its capacity can be specialized for many different roles: interceptors and bombers for capital ship strikes, transports and bombers for surface strikes, transports and assault crafts for surface support, interceptors and boarding crafts for ship capture-- the possibilities are as endless as the type of craft available. Its cost, however, limits its use to high-profile operations.

DESCRIPTION:The Copperhead-class assault shuttle is designed to deploy troops into a wide variety of conditions, environments, and situations with or without atmosphere. It is best-suited for insertions into 'hot' landing zones, as its armor and shielding enable it to withstand small-arms fire and its weapon system enable it to clear the zone for its troops.

The Copperhead-class assault shuttle's armor is thicker on the bottom and sides than it is on the top, protecting the shuttle from fire below it. It has sturdy deflector shields on par with those of a heavy starfighter, more than a match for most hand-held weapons and able to keep it alive long enough to drop off its troops when faced with a more aggressive defense. It boasts countermeasures able to protect it from computerized weaponry, including a decoy launcher that mimics the assault shuttle's energy signature (including projecting a holographic decoy) located on the shuttle's spine. The shuttle also sports sensor jammers that interfere with enemy fire control systems, forcing gunners to rely on their own skills. The jammers are not foolproof, however, as more advanced targeting systems (such as those found on larger capital ships) can penetrate their electronic shroud.

The shuttle's main armament is a rotary laser cannon mounted on the vessel's chin, right below the cockpit. The laser cannon is lethal, spewing damaging bolts of energy at hundreds of rounds per minute and able to wither away at light armor. The shuttle also sports a pair of multi-role concussion missile launchers located to either side of the cockpit, useful against both ground and air targets. The shuttle's three belly turrets have rapid-firing paired anti-vehicle blaster cannons, slower-firing than the chin gun but much more damaging. For fending off aerial threats, the shuttle has four flank turrets that are rapid-firing but deal less damage than the other weapon systems. While the chin gun and the belly guns can be commanded directly from the cockpit by the pilot or co-pilot, if unmanned the flank turrets return to a computerized auto-gunner that shoots down targets based on profile, IFF, and certain logic requirements.

The four thrusters are multi-environment ion engines with prominent magnetic vanes to provide the shuttle with excellent thrust vectoring. They are mounted on pylons that enable the shuttle to adjust the angle of flight. They enable the shuttle to hover even in three and a half times standard gravity even without the repulsors - Rothana over-engineering at its finest. The shuttle has a robust repulsor array, enabling it to hover and float along almost silently. Thanks to the shuttle's maneuverability, it is able to perform nape-of-the-earth flight while approaching an objective.

Upon its testing of twelve models, it was deemed a non-sensitive design, and was auctioned off. Praxus Pondervan Ent. won the auction and instantly set itself to the task of redesigning the craft. After two prototypes that never saw production, the J-13, and J-14, engineers finally came up with the J-15A and the J-15B models to handle the market's needs.

Like it's J-12 counterpart, the J-15A series fighter is a sleek, advanced runabout designed for a healthy balance between speed, manoeuvrability, comfort and combat readiness. Much larger than its predecessor, the J-15 houses a fully-equipped living area with ablutions, a kitchenette and a bunk. The ship has a virtual-intelligence interface constructed into its framework that is capable of operating all the ship's systems on the owner's command. In the event of emergencies, the living pod and cockpit eject from the wings and primary engine. The hyperdrive, which is located along the belly of the craft, is capable of making a single hyperspace jump after ejecting.

The fighter boasts a Holonet transceiver as well as a versatile electronics suite. The fighter has a decoy launcher with a payload of three four missiles. The decoy missiles give off an electronic signature very similar to the fighter with its sensors and engines running as well as displaying a holographic image of the fighter around them; a common tactic is to launch the decoy and simultaneously alter course then switch the fighter into silent running. The decoy missiles can be set to a preprogrammed flight course, or they'll fly an essentially random evasive pattern. The decoys can last about a minute before they run out of power and cease broadcasting. The decoys launch from two launchers, mounted inside ducts on either side of the cockpit.

The fighter's weapon systems are rather limited. Mounted beneath the craft's wings, the fighter's two light laser cannons are not impressive weapons, though the fighter's hard points provide power enough for a stronger weapon system. The fighter's armour is a light yet tough composite plating, and it has regenerating shields and double-redundant shield generators. While its shields are only of average strength, they rapidly recover from depletion.

The fighter's engine is a powerful ion thruster, technological descendant of the Twin Ion Engine design the Empire has long favoured. In addition to the normal magnetic rings used to vector the thrust, the fighter also has a large vane off the wings and tail which project magnetic fields, effectively increasing the fighter's control surfaces. Between the powerful engines, the inertial dampeners, and the impressive control surfaces, this fighter is capable of incredible maneuvers and speed.

The Super Maser is an array of 12 light Maser cannons mounted on 30-degree swivels. These cannons are capable of semi-automatic, burst, and beam fire, and may be stagger-fired to give the array an absolutely astonishing rate of fire. It is able to simultaneously engage several targets with single-beam bursts, or it can combine beams to create a single powerful maser beam - all thanks to enhancements made through the use of Oswaft Maser technology. 2x Halford Octoplet MicroMissile Pods

These 8-round missile pods offer a little extra long-range punch. While individually their high-explosive anti-tank, or HEAT, warheads may not be terribly devastating, combined they are fairly effective against both 'soft' targets and medium armored targets such as armored scout vehicles or infantry fighting vehicles - though tanks don't have much to fear from the small warheads. The missiles, whose warheads aren't much larger than that of the average hand grenades, can be ripple-fired, launched in two or four-round bursts, or shot off individually.

Thanks to the 'stacked' design and cold-launch system employed by the Octoplet MM Pods, two full salvos can be carried in each pod, for a total of 16 missiles per pod. Reloading is as simple as sliding a new tube of missiles into each launch slot.

These missiles have an effective range of 1,200M, and a minimum range of 10M, making it a handy close-quarters missile system ideal for point defense and rapid anti-armor attacks.

2x Tain-Bak M78 Rotary Laser Cannons.

A modestly powerful but effective all-round weapon, useful for engaging soft targets such as infantry and unarmored vehicles. The rate of fire and rapid response time of the Rotary Laser Cannons also makes it somewhat effective in an anti-aircraft role, though it is most effective against ground targets. Rate of fire is [1300rpm], effective range is [800m]. One gun is mounted to the left forearm, the other is mounted to the right forearm.

THE DSO SERIES

After its merge, Praxus Pondervan Enterprises made the decision to branch beyond ships and weapons and entered the armor competition. Their first endeavor into the market began with the DSO operation, a program meant to fabricate varying forms and formats of armor designed to make life in deep space occupations easier. Including suits for everyone from technical service workers such as engineers to combatants like mercenaries and special forces, the DSO aims to provide pressurized setups for as many classes as possible, providing specialized features valuable to the target demographic.

THE NV-1 PRESSURE SUIT

Designed with space engineers in mind, the NV-1 Pressure Suit shares many features with other mainstream technical suits, it adds the ability to store and use AI not commonly seen in engineering format and allows the user to operate without atmosphere. It was created and perfected using the feedback from external hull technicians of the Chiss Ascendancy Naval Expeditionary Force, as well as independent space-faring companies across the galaxy.

The suit is capable of sustaining a user for four hours without atmosphere, using compressed oxygen and a pressurization module located across the shoulderblades of the suit. The pressure and oxygen flow of the suit can be manually operated via a valve on the chest of the suit, but must first be unlocked by a programmed code operated via the twisting lock beside the emergency release button. In event of a catastrophic suit failure, such as intoxication of the internal atmosphere, the button may be unlocked and pressed to vent atmosphere and release the user.
