Ploo II, Ploo Sector, N-7
Capital city

When Draugr requested her to come with him on this mission, Malou wasn't quite sure what to make of it. In fact, she was half tempted to ignore it, but she was damn curious about what his intentions were. Maybe Senin said something? If the Zabrak was aware that the two had made up, perhaps he wanted to know why. No, that can't be. He could've just asked him. If it were the case, she wasn't going to be too keen on explaining. After what he tried to do to her master, she didn't like him one bit, but she had still accepted the request. Whatever this they were doing was going to be, it was absolutely not going to be boring.

The two were arriving separately for two reasons: one, they both had their own ships, and two, Malou was sure neither of them wanted to be stuck on a ship with the other. Malou had gotten there early and was dressed inconspicuously, though she had a single lightsaber tucked into the inside of her jacket. She'd found a seat outside of some café, ordered a café au lait, and was sipping on it while she waited for Dragur to arrive. While she waited, she went over the semblance of
the plan.

Back to Ploo II. Draugr already hated the leadership of the planet and really wanted to forget the failure of swaying the allegiance of the planet to the Sith Empire. The one time he tried to do things the proper way he failed. Now he has returned to fix that problem as an apology to the Acolyte Ashla. She is a hard working young warrior and deserves to have something given to her as an apology. So taking the planet and letting her have the spoils of prize should suffice.

Before he decides to just invade the planet, he must have a look around, learn the hours of work. How the people respond to certain things. See how the planet's military handles situations. An overall scanning of the planet would give the Sith the information that they need to invade this planet properly.

Coming along with the Sith Lord would be the Champion Malou. She was not Draugr's favorite of the Sith but there was a particuar few Sith he disliked more than her. The Champion was experienced and Draugr knew she'd be able to sneak around and observe the area better than most Sith. She had not arrived with Draugr though. They took seperate vessels to make it to the planets surface. The Zabrak Lord had to dress differently than usual. Hiding in plain sight was key so he would be dressed in common folk attire for this mission. This mission was important.

Not only would it be to make up the failure to Ashla, but it would also give the Sith the advantage on attacking the planet and gaining control over the Hydian Way hyperlane. Shipping materials would become so much easier, and the territory would be perfect positioning to intercept opposing forces.

After a short walk, Draugr found the Champion enjoying herself and a beverage it seemed. He might as well grab one and sit with her as they go over the plan. The café had a decent selection, so the Lord would go ahead and order his cappuccino and after grabbing it and tossing a couple credits, he would make his way to sit across from the Champion Malou to begin the dreaded conversation.

"Morning, Malou."

His tone was unamused and low. His deep voice would pull out the side of him that disliked her for a couple reasons. Though seeing what she did from a bigger picture he was able to recognize that he would have done the same thing if someone tried to kill his master when he was an Acolyte. She had his respect.

Dragur had arrived. Malou couldn't miss the heavy step of his gait and the crown of jagged, bony horns on his head. She couldn't forget the bass rumble of his voice, thick and gruff like an old man's beard. When she spotted him, she expected to feel the rise of disgust and anger in her chest, but it never came. To be clear, she didn't like him, but time did wonders for past wounds. Instead, there was just a mild feeling of dislike. Malou had never been a big fan of the Zabrak; it would take more than time to mend that.

"What's the plan?" They were here to scout out a way to put Ploo II at a disadvantage before they shot an Imperial fleet through space and over its atmosphere. She had a feeling she was here to do the brunt of the work though; the Miralukan was a bit better at subtly.

Malou ignored his greeting, which was annoying but what else was there to expect from a teenager. She was clearly doing her best to be nice or at least tolerable for the Lord and for the sake of completing this mission. They would need to put history behind them and work together for the future of the Sith.

"We look for any weaknesses.."

Draugr would take a sip of the drink he had paid for and after he would pause to enjoy the taste before continuing,

"So far I don't see very much fortification. The defenses are little to none. The civilians completely unaware."

This planet didn't have much going on in all honesty. The leader was just an idiot. This was the opportunity to begin the plans for attack on the planet. Malou would be ideal for the mission but he doubted she would listen to any orders from him. She was stubborn and lacking in care. Though she was effective in completing missions.

"We should take a walk and look around. Perhaps the capital building would show the most useful as the main point of attack. What do you think?"

Draugr would lock his eyes on the young woman with the blindfold on. Whether she was choosing to look at him or not it was respectful to make some form of eye contact with the person you speak to. He would also take a couple more sips of his cappuccino.

"Yeah, well, it's Ploo. They don't really have much of anything." The Glymphids were good at making coffee and nothing else, apparently. They were just another Expansion Region planet that didn't have much to offer in terms of trade. The Miralukan took the last sip of her coffee, then set it down for good. "We could look at the Capital Building, but I think it would be better if we could locate where their databases are." At this point her voice lowered to a hush just loud enough for Draugr to make out with an attentive ear. She pulled a datachip from her pocket and placed it under her finger onto the table. "If we can get this into their government systems, we can activate it before we return and overload their systems with information. They'll be left with only their emergency systems." If they could find the master computer, that could mean disaster for the Glymphids. They would be too busy trying to wipe their systems. They wouldn't see the Sith comings.

A good point from the teen was brought to his attention as she mentioned that Ploo didn't have much of anything and that the governmental databases would prove successful. The Lord was reminded why he had brought her along, she brought grand ideas to light for the sake of success.

"I suppose you're right.."

The Lord would take another sip of his drink,

"Ahh. Now, we should find a way in to their command center. There should be a control room with access to their data files. Where is their nearest military base?"

The Sith Lord would set his drink on the table to the side and pull out his new data phone that he bought at the mall when he was out with Senin. That boy loves shopping far too much but it proved useful as Draugr now had an easy means of access to GalaxyMaps+. After searching for a few moments he would laugh a little.

"Aha, found it. According to the map here it says it's a two hour walk from where we are right now. Perhaps we should invest in a ride, unless you would want to walk of course. Though I doubt that would be anything you'd care for."

Draugr would let the Champion decide, though ultimately his decision was final say as the commanding Sith present.

"I don't care if we walk," replied the champion. She would much rather they snag transportation, but if they walked she would complain to herself in her head. She never wore uncomfortable footwear on missions like this anyways. "That being said, walking increases the number of people who will see us." On a planet mostly inhabited by nonhumanoids, the two would stick out like a sore thumb in any place that wasn't near a spaceport like where they were now. Even in this area close to the spaceport, the number of humanoids was dwarfed by the Glymphids wandering about in their daily lives.

"There's a train station nearby. We might be able to take a route there, or nearby."

More good points brought to life by the Champion. Lucky for Malou it just so happened to be that Draugr didn't want to walk all that way. The train was most definitely the best idea for the trip. The Sith Lord stood up as he looked at the Champion and would nod his head towards the station.

"Alright then. Let's get going. Gotta make this quick if we wanna stay undetected."

He would look around and make sure no one was listening before deciding to continue forth. He began walking towards the train station with the assumption that Malou was following. When they would make it to the train he would hold the door open with the force, but would do it very discreetly so that the two can board and find their seats.

"Now we wait until we arrive.."

After a few moments the Zabrak would look over at the young Miralukan and begin to speak again.

"So you and Senin.. friends again I hear. A good thing. The boy was happiest and trained harder when he had you around. Maybe he will relax and focus more again."

He knew she was a good friend to him before the incident at the Masquerade, but they were separated for a while. It wasn't a for sure thing they would ever be the same, but for the sake of not losing another apprentice, he hoped Senin would take his position more serious from now on.

Malou settled down in her seat next to Draugr, though there were a few feet in between them. The woman planned on the trip being long and silent, but to her surprise, Draugr waited only a few moments before trying to initiate small talk. That meant Malou had a choice to make. Did she engage in conversation and try to move past their differences? If she was reading his intentions correctly, he appeared to at least be willing to look past their former conflicts. For Senin, she told herself.

"Yeah. He apologized, and I forgave him." Friends? Friend was the word she had used to describe themselves again, but it didn't feel quite right yet. She still didn't completely trust him yet. That would come with time... unless it didn't.

Malou went back to sitting quietly for a moment. Did she try to continue the awkward conversation? "Uh... so, what's it like...mentoring people?" To say Malou had no desire to mentor an acolyte right now was an understatement. She hardly felt like her training was over herself, but she was still curious as to what it consisted of.

Apologized?.. For what?

"That is good to hear. Lives lived are too short."

The two Sith were doing their best to not cause a scene and to try to bury a hatch. Draugr wanting to forget that she stopped him from killing Artorigas and for her to forget he even tried. Looking back and he sees why there was hatred and why it was formed but now it is becoming water under the bridge to put it in a metaphorical stand point.

"Stressful.. annoying... mentally exhausting. I'm seeing I may not be a good fit for teaching. Senin has failed.. Jade has failed. There is still hope for Senin, there is. He just has to trust the process."

Draugr would continue looking away, but this time his eyes met the floor of the train as he sat and leaned forward slightly resting his elbows on his knees.

"How is Artorigas doing?.."

Stressful, annoying, and mentally exhausting? Jeez, that sounds like anything but fun. She didn't miss his mention of his apprentices failing or his confession that he might not be all that well suited to teaching others. "I suspect I might be like that as well," she commented in response to that. She was still close in age to a lot of the acolytes she knew too, so she thought it would be weird to train them.

But how was her master? She hadn't spoken with him in a while. "Probably busy running Avillion," she said with a shrug. She didn't really want to talk about her master with the Zabrak knowing their history together. Plus, she wasn't much of a talker. Malou much preferred to listen.

"What made you want to join the Sith?" she asked.

It seemed she was feeling a little hesitant on teaching the next batch of Sith. With good reason. They are difficult to synergize with and to bring forth perfection. Failure will happen and it will be in the worst times as well. Senin on Dantooine and Jade on Denon. Even Draugr has failed, nothing ever goes as wanted or needed.

Then she mentioned that her master was busy most likely. Draugr figured she wouldn't talk much about him, but in a way this was how the Zabrak could find out if the Councilor was fairing well or struggling. A failed attempt it seemed.

"I joined with little choice. Either stay on Dathomir and live a short meaningless life, or I joined the Order at the time. So I joined. Spent years training and then decided I would become something worth living for. So I fought, bled, killed for the Sith. I wanted to be more powerful. I wanted to be stronger than everyone. Then after becoming a Lord.. I would rather climb the ranks to ensure the Sith win this war. For the Empire, for the Empress, for Senin, hell even for Bir. The only friend I made all this time."

Draugr took a moment to think back on how he spent his career focusing only on being better than everyone. On how he wanted to just fight and kill and ensure he became the best. It was so much time he wasted when he could've been doing so much more. He could've been making friends, or finding love. Instead he chose work.

As the Lord thought to himself the train would announce that they were arriving in twenty minutes. It brought the Lord out of his short trance and lifted his eyes to meet the blindfold of Malou.

"I am sorry for how I have acted in the past. It was unprofessional of me."

I will have to apologize to Artorigas as well.. soon though.

He joined with little choice? Malou was often surprised by the answers people would give her to this question. She would never doubt that Draugr was committed to the Sith, but to hear that he'd joined not because there wasn't really much else for him to do was interesting. Malou was even more surprised to hear that Bir was the only friend Draugr had ever made. Sure, she didn't much like him, but he seemed like the sort to have a group of bros or something.

And, for a third time, Malou was surprised. An apology? She couldn't believe it. The Serennian had half expected Senin to refuse to apologize, and now Draugr? Holy shit. She wondered if he'd apologized to Artorgias, or if him apologizing to her was the step-up before that.

"It's in the past now," she said after a few moments. As much as she didn't like him, it was better to be on neutral standing with him than not. He was a Sith Lord. They didn't have to be friends, but she didn't want his ire. "But, thank you."

Before she could say anything else, the train lurched forward. Her hand snapped to the railing to steady herself as the vehicle slowly came to a stop. The doors flew open, and their near-empty train began to fill with new passangers. This was their stop though, so Malou rose and motioned for Draugr to follow her through the crowded car.

"The building shouldn't be too far ahead, right?" she asked once they'd squeezed out of the car. Her hand slipped into her pocket, fiddling with the infected chip inside.

She accepted the apology. Slight bits and pieces of relief ran through the Sith Lord as he sat by her on the train. He didn't necessarily like her but this would be the step forward to making amends and eventually a healthy partnership. Though in retrospect.. he didn't not like her either. She was a valuable piece of the Empire.

The train began to halt slowly, and the two Sith would begin to make their way off the train. New passengers were filing in quickly, must be the end of the work day. Draugr walked through the crowd, bumping any others in his way out of his way. The Zabrak would make it out forcefully but not with the force. As he exited the Champion Malou would ask if the building was close by,

"Yes, says here.."

Draugr fiddled with the dataphone..

"Ha, here it is. Yea we just walk around the block and the entrance should be straight ahead. Not a long walk, but with it being a base. We should expect security forces, or planetary defense forces. This is where we have to be unseen or not noticeable to the naked eye."

Walking forward he would motion for her to follow and would begin to walk around much like the civilians he's seen around many other planets. Loose with bad posture. It wasn't overly exaggerated just enough to stray any attention from himself. Soon the mission will be completed and the Sith will be one step closer to expanding.

Malou quietly followed his lead, walking behind him and a bit to the right. They were going to stand out a bit just by virtue of being the only two humanoids about, but as long as they didn't draw attention to themselves more than necessary, she figured they'd be fine. After all, it wasn't like they weren't two Sith perfectly capable of waving a hand and persuading eyes to look away. Malou was sure she could manage it; Draugr, she hoped, most definitely could.

It was only a block away, so it wasn't much more than a few minutes before they arrived. The building was big, square, and looked like just every other government building with its concrete sides and brutalist architecture. Malou despised that way of building, but it worked for military and government buildings. Design and aesthetics weren't the point, after all.

"We should see if we can find a blind spot, or a side entrance," she muttered with range of Dragur's hearing. Obviously, they couldn't just waltz in. "If the cameras pan, we might be able to use that to our advantage too."

"Ladies and gentlemen, that was amazing!" Dusty called out lazily to the figures leaving the swimming pool that he'd had installed in the governor's mansion. If any reporters were outside, he would tell them that they were government associates and certainly not prostitutes that he'd hired to spend the day with him. No, governing wasn't something Dusty particularly liked doing as governor - he much preferred the parties, dances, public events, and spectacle of the office.

This surprisingly ended up making him not as bad of a governor as one might think. Because he had such little interest in actual governance, much of the day-to-day tasks were done by underlings who actually had political experience. Thus, much of Dusty's days were spent signing whatever came his way, partying it up, or his personal pet project, reestablishing the Podraces on Ploo II. His poll numbers were middling; the citizens seemed to like the laissez-faire policies of the Daytonus administration and the entertainment that he provided them with the races. However, in signing a deal with the Syndicates to help get him elected, Dusty had also allowed crime to soar on the planet as Syndicate forces had moved in and the citizens, the law-abiding ones anyways, didn't really care too much for that.

But what was that to Dusty? Times were good and he invited the two Nikto guardsmen standing watch to come and drink with him by the pool. They were also working for the Syndicate and had been dispensed to Dusty, ostensibly as an extra security measure but the Glymphid also had a sneaking suspicion that they were also being used to keep tabs on him. He wasn't altogether that concerned with that - the two thugs seemed to like the new governor and any spying they did for Crymorah was undercut by the fun that they had together.

@Scoobert @lizziie

"Come on Biff - I know you can drink more than that!" Dusty shouted as the one Nikto started downing some Correllian ale. The governor of an entire planet did what governors do and began setting up for beer pong, little guessing that outside forces were planning something sinister.

"A blind spot. Classic."

Draugr would give just a small chuckle but would contain himself and continue with the plan,

"Let's head over to the right side, I'll freeze the cameras facing away from us should they pan. Give us time to make it through the building undetected."

The Sith Lord began walking in the direction stated and would find himself to the right of the building alongside Malou and would look around to make sure no one could see them. Before deciding to hop the fence and go rushing in, he would ask Malou if she could detect any threats through her force sight.

"Wanna use that force eye trick and see if the coast is clear? I'll toss you over when we're ready to go."

Draugr would stand watch for the Champion and make sure none of the native Glymphs were around. So far the area was fairly secluded. Now they only had to actually complete the mission.

Malou nodded, already surveying the area on the other side of the wall. There was only one guard stationed by the doorway, but there was another patrolling the premises. She had expected more security at a military installation, but it seems either they weren't expecting trouble or she and Dragur had caught them on lunch break. Malou quietly relayed this information to Draugr, including the position of two cameras. One was above the door, while the other was right behind the wall they stood behind.

"We need to cause a distraction," she said in reference to the two guards. "I'm going to try something." The Miralukan reached out through the Force, grabbed a rock off the ground, and sent it flying back behind a set of dumpsters. It successfully caught the attention of one of the guards, and he began to walk over to check it out. After he called back to the other one in confusion, the door guard followed suit and made his way over.

"Okay, let's go now."

From what Malou explained there was two guards and two cameras. Definitely caught them at a good time of the day. The distraction that Malou was successful. Draugr knew she was capable of the force sight and could see any and all things through the force, bringing her was the best choice he could have made for this.

"Good I'll toss you up, I'm right behind you."

He bent over slightly and would interlock his fingers, cupping his hands and preparing to pull up and toss her over the wall. Trust was built enough to know she would be fine on the other side. The guards were distracted and the cameras can't look everywhere at all times. Whether she accepted his lift or not once she was over the wall, Draugr would jump up and grab the top of the wall as he would swing his legs up and around to make it to the other side and land on his feet. If she had not taken care of the camera on the wall then he would have used the force to disconnect the the camera's cables to have it die essentially.

"Okay let's get to the door. I'll take care of the guards you stay out of sight and handle the other camera."

After a nod to make sure she understood the assignment, he would crouch run hidden by the wall towards the dumpsters where the Guards were. As they were looking around he remained hidden behind one of their mobile vehicles. They began conversation among themselves, as Lord Draugr crept around the back of the vehicle to get behind them. As he used the force to make his steps quieter and slower he would in quick succession grab the opposite sides of each of their heads and push inwards towards each other and use the force to enhance the strength of the collision causing their helmets to shattered as well as their skulls.

They never stood a chance. Before he could be noticed he dragged and rolled their bodies under the vehicle and then made his way to the door where Malou would have been. As they prepared to breach into the building he would look around and make sure there was no one else before nodding and using the force to reach into the locking system and undo the lock. As soon as the deed was done the door would open and the two would enter.

As Dusty lounged by the pool with his progressively more drunk Nikto guards, one of them received a transmission on his earpiece The Glymphid racer-turned governor didn't hear too much of it as he was focused on making a truly epic shot in beer pong. He had just one cup left.

"Boss?" Biff the Nikto interrupted, causing Dusty to miss his mark completely. Swearing, Dusty turned to address his guardsman.

"What?!? You stepped on my shot!" Dusty shouted. The Nikto looked equal parts sheepish and indignant. The man wasn't ordinary security - he was a Syndicate enforcer and wasn't used to being talked to like that by someone so small. Then again, he had been assigned to obey Dusty so he held back his threat that he wanted to say.

"The Capital Building guards are in a scramble. Apparently, some of them are not responding on their comms." Biff said.

"So?" Dusty asked, shrugging his shoulders exaggeratedly.

"The Capital Guardsman are always on their comms." Biff pointed out

"Oh. Oooohhhhh..." Dusty said as the gravity of what the Nikto said washed over him. The Governor's Mansion may be where Dusty lived but the heart of the planet's government was in the capital building. It was where laws were passed, debates were had and where Dusty addressed the legislation in official capacities. If its security had been compromised, there was a very good chance that the governor's mansion was going to be attacked next.

His racer and mercenary instincts took over as Dusty quickly sobered up. He started changing out of his swim trunks into something more presentable. As he slipped a shirt on, he grabbed his pistol and started hurrying for the landing pad of the mansion.

"Sully, guard the door and hit us on the comms if anyone comes a knocking. Shoot them off if you can but if there's too many of them, just give up the building. Biff, you're with me." Dusty ordered quickly. Not seeing a better course of action, the two Syndicate guards did as instructed. Dusty and Biff started loading up his ship quickly as they prepared to take off. If some shit was about to happen, Dusty wanted to be away from it so he could get a good grasp on what was going down and respond accordingly.

....................

Meanwhile, at the capital building, seven Glymphid guardsmen came rushing around the corner, weapons drawn as they investigated why their fellow colleagues weren't checking in on the comms.
