I try to. I'm a lot better than I was when I first started doing it.

She watched Fen concentrate to direct her breathing, and then how much it seemed to take out of her.

You will have to find your own timing. How long you take for each step of the cycle. At first just a four count made me dizzy if I did it too long. Now I can do twice that.

Savora demonstrated the techinque to the fullest of her capacity, drawing in slowly, filling the lungs to a comfortable volume over eight seconds. For another eight she held the breath, and when she exhaled it was slow and controlled, no rush or panic. For several breaths she continued, but stopped before it became the entirety of what she was doing.

The pause in between confuses our body's autonomic rhythm. To the body there is no pause between inhale and exhale. Just a seamless transition from one to the next. But it is in that same pause that we take conscious contol of our breath. There is much more to the art of breathing than this, but this is where you start.

"There are a group of monks on Ray'll that practice a breathing meditation combined with movement," She had read a few segments about that planet, an artifact had come from there once. A silvery stone carved into a wave, strong enough to hold form but a little above room temperature it would melt like water, when cooled it returned to its original shape. It had be a religious artifact once, then for certain someone stole it. The monks had a sort of wave like quality themselves vague memory of the images she had seen, certainly she would be able to find out more if she made use of the library. It seemed best to try and mix different activities she needed to do, it was unlikely that she would ever have to focus on breathing alone in a real situation. It would be with movement, with thought and planning, hopefully. The idea of the movement though, even in passing seemed to have an attraction for her. It seemed, right, even though she had no reason at all to think that.

Standing up Fen embodied that a little, swaying ever so slightly as she slowly turned around, pausing only to look hesitantly at that window. Looking to Savora with a small polite smile she bowed her head slightly, "I will think on this and, practice, thank you." There had to be bounds to how much to take on, more so when starting out. Fen was looking to set herself a single goal to work on right now, breathing seemed a good one to start with. A few additions she felt she might be able to work towards that control of self that she felt was so lacking so far. If she was as part of the Force as anything else, then she really needed to put a pin in what that actually meant. The girl didn't move to leave however, instead she waited to see if there was anything else, or anything not related to training to cover.
