"I played you? You bewitched me, with that taut ass." Tal said with a laugh. He would pull his peacemaker from the console and he tossed it down beside her. A sign of goodwill. And if she probed, she'd find no ill will towards her. No harm. "Besides, if I wanted to hurt you, to kill ya. We wouldn't be talking, you wouldn't wake up. I got you out of there and then faked your death."

"Yeah, I already got my big prize." Hed muse to himself. Then louder. "And you'll keep your ship. Your life." He'd then turn to face her more, one gauntlet tapping his armored thigh, near a secondary holster, should she try anything. "The Hutts are in a decline. They lost Nar Shadaa, most of their territory is riddled with infected. They won't recover. And more importantly, you'll be under my protection. No Hutt has the sway to find my base or manpower to breach it. Cartels need money, this hurt them to acquire and it really hurt them to lose."

"What you did is set me up," Dhari retorted. "Doesn't matter if it looks like I'm dead. The Cartels will find out that I'm not. They won't care whether I screwed over the Pitlord or not. I lost their shipment. That's a kriffing death sentence, especially in times like these where every shipment counts."

Dhari eyed the peacemaker Tal had thrown her. With slow and very obvious movement so as not to seem a threat, she reached forward and grabbed the blaster pistol. She leaned back against the bulkhead again, peacemaker resting in her lap. "Hutts live long lives, Taldorak. They may be in a decline, but they will bounce back eventually. And when they've bounced back, they will start paying back old debts. Hutts don't forget. You and I would do best to remember that."

She sighed, clutching the peacemaker. "I guess I don't have much of a choice, do I?" Her eyes bored into Tal's, anger emanating from her. "So you know: I'd put a bolt bolt in my own head before I gave you the pleasure." She turned her gaze away from the Mandalorian. "Have it your way. Take my share or give it back to me, I don't care. But I sure as shit don't need your protection. When this shit has settled, we're done."

"I did not set you up. I didn't even know who you were when we met. Hell, I didn't even know who you were until I saw the ship. You think I liked to find that out? That someone whose company I was enjoying, wound up being my mark. I was supposed to kill you, but I can't. And the galaxy is a big place, it won't be hard to hide and start fresh. You'd limit yourself if you didn't."

His gaze shifted briefly to her and the blaster. "They do, but I don't think you realize that their worlds are overrun by zombies. They're gonna forget, because this won't end any time soon. You got time to just vanish, so stop being so doom and gloom. Its not becoming of a woman with your smile." he'd say with a quick glance back to her.

"Hard to put a bolt in your head when you're unconscious, Dhari." he'd laugh, she was feisty. Gods did he like it. "Yeah, we'll see. We'll unload the shipment for the Crymorah, then we'll part ways. When I call you, it'll be for you to get your cut, my cut. So, you're going to want to answer and.. you'll want my protection if the Hutts are after you. It's the smart play, for survival."

Dhari scowled at the Mandalorian. Begrudgingly, she had to agree with him. She was dead meat in the eyes of the Cartels. And much as she hated it, she would need some help getting back on her feet after this run. And although Tal was part of the reason why she had lost her footing in the first place, she was certain that he had the resources to help.

Not that she said it out loud, though. As far as she was concerned, Tal was now a means to an end. And she would take personal pleasure in ditching his ass at the soonest opportune moment.

"The drowning would breathe poisonous air, just to have one more breath," she said. "Fine. Have it your way. Take us to Crymorah. Take us to Unknown Space for all I care. The sooner we get this done, the sooner we can part ways and pretend this whole thing never happened."

She didn't want to see him at the helm of the Blacklight, so she turned away from him. Her vision was still blurry and unclear, and she felt like a drained woman. She needed time to recharge. And there was nothing left to be said between them.
