'Period of instability' following death of Supreme Chancellor Ro
Following the tragic death of Supreme Chancellor Ro, the New Republic could enter a 'period of profound instability', commentators have said. Speaking to the Herald today, after news of Chancellor Ros death shocked viewers this morning, numerous sources have confirmed the markets to be in turmoil, and political instability 'all but certain', with Chancellor Ros demise leaving a large vacuum of power.
Supreme Chancellor Ro, who died earlier today, led the New Republic into a direct conflict with the Sith Empire, which included open engagements over Denon, and other worlds. The conflict is not yet resolved.
"With an unresolved and ongoing conflict, noticeable for its disregard for civilian life, on the table, there is little point in denying that the death of the Supreme Chancellor has played into the hands of the New Republics enemies, and makes the possibility of a lasting peace even less likely."

Chancellor Ro, who was known for his prolific love life and taste for war, leaves the brothels of Coruscant, and the munitions manufacturers of the Core, deeply saddened by his passing.
