BIOGRAPHY
Pala'kwiwaran's childhood was a crash-course on engineering, programing, piloting, marketing, any skill a scavver might need to make ends meet, and she loved every second of it. As a child she turned every scavenging run into a game, and even as a grown woman she never lost the giddy thrill of finding something valuable on a job. It was during this time that she slowly assembled her lifelong companion PM-1, a miniaturized probe droid turned homemade best friend. While she has nothing but fond memories of Ryloth and her family, eventually the scrap became slim and a wanderlust began to set in for young Pala. After months of arguing back and forth with the rest of her family, Pala finally convinced her parents to let her leave Ryloth. At the age of eighteen, Pala'kwiwaran left her homeworld as part of an offworld salvage freighter crew, the Smiling Scrap-Rats.

Pala spent almost five years with the Scrap-Rats, running scrap from Jakku to Christophsis, and hitting every derelict starship in between. While traveling the galaxy was far from glamorous or romantic, every new location, job, or experience fascinated her. Of course she took a few knocks along the way, got burned more than once, and saw her fair share of the galaxy's unpleasantness. But it didn't dissuade her, she just kept moving forward until she'd saved enough credits to afford her own salvage ship, the Luggabeast.
PERSONALITY
Pala lives and breathes salvage, not just in her career but in how she approaches life. She has learned to make the best of every situation, to be practical in her approach to problems, and to always look for potential opportunities. While this does make her clever and easy to get along with, more often than not these traits save her from her own impulsiveness and poor long-term planning. So whenever her talkative tendencies get her in hot water, or a long-shot gamble ends up costing her, she tries to fall back on her own creativity to turn this adversity into an advantage. The trick is whether or not it will work.
SKILLS
Pala is at her best when dealing with galactic technology, whether that is engineering, slicing or programming. Give her a hydrospanner, a roll of spacer's tape, and a working datapad, and she can make just about any machine sing. She is also familiar with most common models of civilian space and hovercraft such as freighters and speeders, making her a talented pilot. While by no means an acrobat or professional climber, navigating the wreckage of crashed starships have taught Pala how to scramble through, up, or down difficult terrain. Especially if she is running away from something, she's really good at that. In a fight she tends to rely on simple blasters or weaponized tools, or just trying to talk her way out of a terrible situation. To help with this, she speaks Twi'leki, Standard, and Binary fluently, with a conversational knowledge of Huttese.
