The Jedi could determine even as he poured forth more energy into the Light that this Nexus was only recently created, and therefore weak. As it was bathed in the raw, unfettered brilliance of Force Light, the rip in reality began to wither and slowly mend. But Elenath knew they were already dangerously low on time, further proven by the monstrous abomination breaking into the mess hall.
Elenath had previously seen the effects of Force Light on a Sith-spawn in a ruined lab on Kashyyyk, but it was magnified here just as the abomination's strength was further fueled by the Dark Side. The cacophony of bellows that escaped its multiple toothy maws was near-deafening, threatening to break the Knight's concentration. Elenath gritted his teeth, the blue-yellow light growing ever brighter to overcome the Nexus. In his periphery, he could see the deft movements of Gellart evading the monstrosity while taking pot shots at it.
Despite their best efforts, Elenath knew that this thing was beyond either of them. Even if he joined the fight, they would likely only delay the inevitable. Yet his heart yearned to assist Gellart, even more so as he saw a great claw cleave into the scrapper's back. With the Force flowing through him, Elenath saw a spiderweb of possibilities cascading outwards in his mind's eye. "Duck, NOW!" he shouted out, having a premonition a mere second before the abomination lunged forward to clamp a set of its mighty jaws shut.
Come on... the Echani thought in consternation, still focused on the Nexus. Though it felt like an eternity had passed, he could visibly see the wound closing. It was mending! In yet another act of desperation, the Seer hurled his saberstaff into the gullet of their foe. With both hands free, he poured renewed strength into the Light, burning away the final traces of the Nexus as it seethed and wailed like the depths of the hells. Elenath released his hold on Force Light, gasping for breath with the immense expenditure of stamina. "We...have to leave, now!" he heaved, calling upon the Force once more to summon Giliath back into his hand. The way was now clear to the hangars. "Turbolasers and the vacuum may be our best chance."
