Hey @Nor'baal, just wondering where your char has the sudden "knowledge of getting attacked" from?

My post has my char toss the datapad over because your char made clear he's in charge. In no way was the tossing of the datapad a hostile action as the word I used defines" To throw lightly or casually ". (I now see I wrote 'dismissive' while I meant 'submissive' so I won't use the latter as argument.)

Now, while already performing two actions your character suddenly sees the tossing of the datapad as an attack and #sidesteps two basically point black heavy blaster shots?

I could sugarcoat this, but frankly I'm calling bullshit on your defense and subsequent attack. That whole post is meta and I'd like you to edit.

I don't see any reason to edit.

Your character just murdered an NPC. It's fair to assume Darren would be on edge, hence why he has his weapons draw.

As for how Darren moved so quickly -

This has no bearing when your action is based on meta information and still would not allow you to sidestep two bolts at point blank range.

In your introduction post you've stated:

You gave no indication that Darren would be on edge, therefore him conveniently being so doesn't add up. Also, he had his weapon drawn when he heard a blastershot and not because he suspected an attack from the basadi.. which is further evidenced by his reaction to it by the text above. It is therefore not fair to assume anything. You've clearly written your char being preoccupied by the Jedi intruders and not Nard's intentions, whether they were honorable or not, thus your char now suddenly reacting in such mastery because he expected it is utter bull.

I'm going to ask you to edit again based on the above or I'll be forced to report.

I've made my points clear, Darren is a much more agile combatant, and that's what my posts say.

Your shots are not at point blank, and to assume so would also assume that Darren drew his weapons and then proceeded to stand nose to nose with your character, which he evidently did not do.

After all, why would you throw a datapad at someone standing at point blank range?

Feel free to report as I can it see a reason to edit.

Ruling: Darren's defense stands. This isn't a "one person sneaks up from behind and gets the drop on an unawares target" situation. Both parties are facing each other, and Nard decides to point his gun at Darren to fire from the hip while tossing something (which really isn't going to help accuracy any). The datapad toss happens at the same time, but wouldn't hide the gun suddenly moving to point at Darren. We've already established that level 3s enjoy quite a bit of an advantage in reflexes, reaction time, and general skill over level 1s.
