"WAR!" Plooom, the familiar sound of a blaster rifle shot rang out through the Vergesso Base's firing range, following by a metallic crash and clatter as a target ball was knocked from its perch onto the floor. "HUH! YEAH!"

"WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR!" A wild-eyed Rodian set the blaster rifle down, and picked up an ion blaster. "ABSOLUTELY nuthin, uh huh uuhhh." His cheek rested firmly on the stock as he aimed down the sights at a second ball. "WAR!" The decidedly more tinny sound of an ion blast echoed underneath the blaring music as a sky blue bolt of charged particles sped down the range and impacted against the ball with a crack. "Huh, yeah!"

"What is it good for?
Absolutely nuthin
Say it again y'all"

Bree selected a third target and fired again, sparks flew and electrical arcs danced across the metal ball. He winced internally as he imagined the damage to the electronics inside. Ever the finnicky and hyper Rodian, he set the ion rifle down and moved to a heavy blaster. For this he used the edge of the gallery railing to stabilize the weighty rifle. Bree exhaled and fired. The target ball quite literally jumped from its perch as the powerful blast took it and flung the metallic contraption into the wall behind.

He smiled and tapped a button at his station. The loud music was suddenly cut off by a grating buzzing sound. "Downrange is closed, please cease fire. Downrange is closed." The railing in front of Bree rose, and he hurriedly jogged down the range with a large duffel bag in tow to store the targets. He had plenty of tests to do on them still. Perhaps this combination of Agrinium, Duraplast, Quadranium, Laminanium, and Titanium would do the trick. Materials science had come a long way in the galaxy, but you still couldn't plug what properties you wanted into a computer and expect it to spit out a perfect formula. No, complete and thorough testing was still needed. For the targets not utterly destroyed he had even further tests. Bree didn't often take to working in the lab with partners, but now he kinda wished he had one.
