lotho_minor.jpg

Lotho Minor was a beautiful planet, truly. An enterprising sabotage droid like Curse could spend hundreds of years tearing apart old ships here, methodically dissecting them until nothing but their rusted skeletons remained, and then taking those apart for good measure too. The little Pistoeka understood the appeal that kept the Junkers and other scrap droids busy. But what good was there in destroying something that didn't belong to anybody? Really, how could she enjoy taking something apart without the knowledge that it was going to at the very least mildly annoy someone else? Making others miserable was what she was built for after all.

She never would have believed it, but after a few months wandering the junkyards of this filthy, refuse strewn world she was actually getting bored. But things seemed to be looking up. The native Junkers had been getting awfully riled up lately, blabbering to each other excitedly in their strange language. That meant some heedless off-worlder had entered their territory. That usually meant a spacer looking for spare parts, or something of that sort. And that meant a new target just begging to have their ship sabotaged.

Curse trilled with delight at the thought, and scampered over the various piles of junk in the direction of the nearest clearing. Hopefully she'd find a ship there, and hopefully she'd find it before the Junkers did. She didn't want it's occupants to die before she had the opportunity to mess with them after all.

Stopping as she approached the boarding ramp, the young pilot reached into her satchel and retrieved the power pack for her fusion cutter. Before jamming it into the tool and locking the power cell in place, a few quick presses of a button later and the tip of the fusion cutter sparked into life with a small arc of plasma forming at the tip - satisfied that her equipment was primed and ready, the fiery haired female lifted the large waiting sledge hammer with her cybernetic arm and slung it over her shoulder.

Pulling down her tinted goggles, Eisa took a few steps forwards and sealed up the hull of her ship before proceeding to descend the boarding ramp. Out of the climate controlled hull of the ship and into the baking heat of Lotho Minor, her gaze moving over towards the surrounding piles of scrap that seemed to forever encompass the planet that had long since became a galactic dumping ground, a light grin crossing the females features at the sight of all the glorious junk! Well to many it was junk, but to the pilot this world was an indispensable source of spare parts to keep her ship and even on a lesser degree her cybernetics operational - more importantly it was free, all you had to do was spend your time sifting through mountains of complete kark.

As soon as she had cleared the boarding ramp and stepped onto the oil soaked crimson soil, Eisa slowly and carefully lowered her hand to her side, making a quick mental reassurance that her blaster and her stun baton were still secured in their respective holsters. Not that there was much need nor intent to use it, but the over the years of aimlessly venturing a cross the galaxy she had learned, that just cos she was clearly by appearances eccentric, it didn't mean she wasn't at risk from any vicious thug or lowlife that would seek to rob her.

Happy that she tad everything she needed, the fiery haired pilot moved away from her ship and headed out towards the nearest pile of scrap that showed some semblance of containing ship engine components. Somewhat internally grateful that this would be what she had hoped to be a leisurely trip out to various scrap piles to rummage for parts.

Curse clambered over the top of a mountainous scrap pile to lay her photoreceptors on the newly arrived ship. A VCX-100 light freighter. The Buzz Droid chittered excitedly, she hadn't seen one of those in quite some time. They were known for their stubborn reliability, she'd enjoy putting that to the test.

The Pistoeka started to hastily crawl down the scrap pile, knocking some smaller pieces of junk loose as she made her way closer to the ship. As the loading ramp began to lower the droid stopped in her tracks and quickly scuttled backwards to hide in the shade of a discarded starfighter wing. She watched cautiously as a human female exited the ship, armed with a blaster and stun baton, as well as some equipment for scrapping. Curse's suspicions were correct then, a spacer looking for spare parts. The little droid couldn't help but cackle deviously. Once she was finished the human would need much more than that to get her ship flying again.

Despite her eagerness to cause some mayhem the droid forced herself to be patient, waiting to see if any more crew members revealed themselves. After several minutes passed she was confident the human was alone, and with her rummaging through a nearby scrap heap now was a good time to move.

Quietly the Buzz Droid scuttled forward again, giving the human a wide berth as she moved around the freighter and then scurried up the loading ramp. Briefly taking a moment to search her memory banks for the schematics on the VCX Curse began to hum happily to herself as she made her way to the engine room. Disable that first, then she could take apart the rest of the ship at her leisure.

Picking through a pile of relays and inspecting the parts the figure had happened to caught a glimpse of at the corner of her eye, Eisa's attention was pulled off away from her current inspection of the part she had uncovered as the sight of something much more shiner and appealing peaking out from under the scrap pile. Tossing the component she was looking at down onto the ground the fiery haired pilot moved over to get a closer look at a drive inverter for the ship, an excitable squeel passing her lips. "Score!!" the figure exclaimed as she reached towards the small of her back, with her natural arm and twisting the control dial for her exoskeletal braces. "Gonna need a bit more pulling power" she muttered as she felt the yellow plated servos that wrapped around her legs tightening.

Her bright emerald hued eyes focusing on a suitable point that would give her sufficient leverage to pull the assembly out from the scrap pile. Taking a deep breath, Eisa prepared herself, drawing a little on the force to bolster her body to cope with the strain. Doing a couple of squat thrusts and a few awkward stretches of her harms, to try and limber up her body a little the fiery haired female stepped closer and reached down towards an anchoring hook, her cybernetic hand firmly clamping against the metal in its vice like grip whilst her natural hand found some thing else to grip onto.

With a sudden lunge and a grunt. The figure threw her weight into dragging the assembly clear, a wide grin crossing her features as she felt it shift a little - a promising sign that it was not so tightly compacted under the weight of scrap metal above it. With a few more grunts and groans the Eisa was starting to make pretty good headway, it was for the best part clear - one or two more shoves and it'll be free.

Taking a moment to reach down for her cantine, to try and cool off at rehydrate for a moment, the fiery haired figure took a cursory clance around her surroundings, just to make sure there were no ferral packs if wamp rats running close by.

Once she had taken long enough of a break to recoup herself, the pilot, gave the assembly a final tug to free it, and most importantly claim it for her own. Now that the hard part was out of the way, the rest should be relatively simple. Focusing to channel the force, Eisas face contorted into a look of deep concentration as she cautiously and slowly levitated the drive inverter off the ground and maneuvered it towards her ships hold. Had she tried doing this before she decided to go it alone, and leave the Order, the task would have been child's play, but over time it seemed that like the muscles of her legs, her ability in the force had atrophied.

Maneuvering the recovered part into the ships hold, Eisa set it down with a heavy thud before reaching for a rag to wipe her sweat laden brow with. As she set the rag back down, she couldnt help but hear a slight scuttling sound towards the rear of her ship. "That's a new sound" she murmured to herself, thinking initially that even though she had been flying the Rim Hopper for almost a year now. She was still getting used to the various clunk's and klangs that would ring out within the Hull.

Narrowing her eyes as she tried to hone in on the origin of the sound, Eisa slowly and silently paced her way towards the rear of the ship and towards the engine bay crawl spaces. Her metallic hand raising up to the side of her head, to quickly tap on the audio sensor control, heightening its sensitivity a little to try and determine whether it was a good sound or a bad sound.

Upon finding her way to the engine room Curse immediately got to work, clambering up onto the large machinery and igniting her plasma torch. The little droid continued humming a cheery tune as she ripped off a crudely cut square of the engine's outer shell in order to get to it's innards. With the interior mechanisms exposed she stuck her metal limbs right in and spun up her saw, ripping out random pieces and cutting wires, being rewarded with a shower of sparks and a plume of black smoke.

So engrossed was she in her task she didn't bother to keep watch for the returning owner of the would-be scrap pile. When Eisa rounded the corner and appeared before the engine room the Pistoeka let out a surprised cheep, jumping slightly and scuttling backwards away from the gaping hole she had created in the engine. The Buzz droid quickly looked back and forth between the engine and the human several times before chittering out a few words in droidspeak.

// I didn't do that. // She said dumbly. This was awkward. Normally she was quite good at lying to organics, but given the damning circumstances she was in she really didn't have much to work with. Without waiting for the human to reply, most likely with blaster fire, she jumped from the engine to the wall and skittered up to the ceiling. // Sorry! Wrong ship! I'll leave now! // She made a terrible excuse as she tore off the grate to an air vent and climbed inside. If she could just get away from the human she might still be able to do some damage to the ship on her way out. Perhaps that would keep the owner too preoccupied to worry about turning her into scrap. It really was a shame though, she had been so looking forward to taking this ship apart.

Well well well, this certainly was unexpected! Leave her ship for perhaps no longer than half an hour, and already the local critters, albeit a metallic one had already managed to find its way into the Rim Hopper. A bemused expression crossed the fiery haired humans features as she processed the sight in front of her, her engine housing cut open, and from what she could tell the components within looked worse for wear. And right beside the clearly out of place engine assembly was a buzz droid of all kriffing things.

An inquisitive eyebrow arched up as the droid claimed that it had nothing to do with the blatant damage to her ships engines, then claiming it had the wrong ship. Sighing a little, the fiery haired female channeled the Force through her, as it attempted to tear off an air vent. With a flick of her hand Eisa ensnared the buzz droid with the Force, pulling it back and holding it in mid air. "Oi ya wee beastie, wrong ship or not you're not leaving" Eisa spoke out once satisfied she had a firm enough grip on the droid. "I might have a metal plate on my head" she continued, pausing for a moment to rap her cybernetic fingers against the the cranial remount that replaced a portion of her skull. "But I'm no back burner"

A wide grin crossing her features as she casually lent against the bulkhead door frame, her emerald hued gaze staring into the little sabotage droids crimson receptors. Her lips pursing in thought as she figured out just what she was going to do with it. "You're not going any where till you fix up what you busted" Eisa spoke as she then looked down towards her raised cybernetic hand. "There's one rule on this ship, you break it you fix it, unless what you broke is called Spares" she added, before gesturing towards the sorry looking 3PO droid slumped over a workstation, a wide grin lingering on her features as she turned her attention back to the Buzz droid.

Curse had opened up the vent and was hastily attempting to climb inside and away from attack range when she was suddenly stopped in her tracks by some kind of invisible force. Did the human have some kind of powerful magnet on her? Whatever it was the little buzz droid was lifted off her feet and into the air, the Pistoeka panicking and her metallic legs scrabbling for something to cling to like an insect plucked from it's perch.

The human turned the droid to face her and began to speak, though the moment Curse got a better look at the organic's cybernetics all she could think about was how much better they'd look as non-functioning scrap. She did pay attention when the human pointed out the busted protocol droid on a nearby workstation, the twin halves of her shell casing tilting back somewhat and her limbs going suddenly still as she received the message loud and clear. Messing with this particular organic was probably bad for her health.

But what was this? She wanted her to repair the engine after she had just gotten started on breaking it? What an awful thing to do to a sabotage droid. But she really wasn't in a position to negotiate at the time so fine, she'd play along with the magnet woman for now. The Pistoeka let out a disgruntled whir before chittering out her disappointed response.

// Alright alright, just put me down... // Given the human was kind enough to grant her request the buzz droid would take a moment to look at the magnet woman, considering taking her chances at fleeing again before thinking better of it and turning her attention to the damaged engine. // Not to boast, // Which Curse actually loved to do. // But I did quite a number on this one. I'll need some new parts... // Luckily they had access to everything they'd need right outside. And searching might even present the buzz droid with another opportunity for escape.

Nodding at the droid's request, the fiery haired pilot manipulated the Force around the ensnared buzz droid and lowered it onto the casing of the engine housing that it had been tampering with. Once the droid was close enough for its spindly insect like legs to reach out and take a foot hold on the metal plate, Eisa waved off the currents of the Force that had been wrapped around the little droid - however she did not fully allow for the Force to dissipate away from her fully, the little critter had tried to escape already!

Stepping closer towards Curse and the engine housing, Eisa folded her arms over her chest as she lent against the now totalled engine. Her bright emerald gaze looking into the mess of fused, shredded torn scraps of metal swirling about in a pool of oil and coolant fluids. Her attention shifted towards the droid as it bragged about how it had did quite the number on the engine, an arched eyebrow lingered on her features as she stared in a moment of disbelief at the audacity of the droid to openly brag about destroying the heart of the ship right to it's owner's face.

The expression of stunned anger and annoyance lingered on the fiery haired humans features for a moment before she simply chuckled as she shook her head. "Yeah, you Kriffed it up pretty bad" Eisa remarked as she reached out into the pool of scrap that once was her engine with her cybernetic arm, flipping over a few scrapped components before retrieving a turbine blade that had been cut. Her eyes narrowing as she turned it over infront of her studying the edge where the metal had been cut. "That was roll forged Vanadium" she muttered as she closely examined the damaged part. "How in the Emperor's dusty balls did you cut through it so cleanly?" she questioned before tossing the part back into the trashed engine.

"Oh well better get back out there and look for a new engine" Eisa spoke as she pushed herself away from the housing and the droid. "Come on you little critter" She added as she offered her cybernetic arm for the droid to scamper up and perch upon, before heading back towards the boarding ramp. "Actually what's your designation" she queried as the thought crossed her mind, that perhaps referring to the droid as beastie or critter might not be the best for keeping it around long enough to fix the damage it had caused.

Curse was relieved that the human seemed to be taking her sabotage more as an annoyance than an outrage. Well, she was clearly angry, but not enough so to destroy her, at least for the moment. Curse decided it would be prudent to try and stay on the magnet woman's good side for the time being. She took some pride in the human's disbelief at her capacity to destroy, perking her shell casings up in satisfaction at the comment about her cutting.

// It's what I was built for. // She chirped cheerily. As Eisa offered her cybernetic arm the droid made only a brief hesitation before climbing on. She made a point to subtly inspect the robotic appendage as she found her perch, looking for any kind of magnetic device that might have allowed the organic to grab her earlier. If she was going to try and escape again that would need to be disabled, but from what she could see there didn't seem to be any such tool immediately apparent.

// Designation K3-R5. // She answered dutifully to the human's query, before tilting her head and adjusting her photoreceptors to get a better look at the organic. // But my last owner called me 'Curse'. Allegedly that's what the person who sold me to him called me as well. // Though she knew she must have been quite old her memory banks didn't extend past nine years, the last time she received a memory wipe. So what she was called before she couldn't truly know for certain. Fortunately her last master had never seen fit to rob her of her memory, allowing her to evolve to be a much more effective sabotage droid. Or at least she thought so, she hadn't failed to carry out her programming yet. // What's your designation? // She asked the human curiously. It wouldn't do to keep referring to her as 'magnet woman'.

Cocking her head at the droid's response, the fiery haired spacer turned a bemused glance towards the photo receptors of the buzz droid perched upon her shoulder. "Seriously? they called you Curse!" she responded, before shaking her head a little, whilst she wasn't exactly no angel in the droid naming front - especially since her droid was named spares, but that was literally what the protocol droid was, a container of spare parts that conveniently were of the same specification as the inner workings of her cybernetics. Shrugging the thought off, like she had realised that by no means was she was in a position to take the high road on that point - the only saving grace in her eyes was that Spares was for the best part in a state of constant shutdown.

"Eisa Wex" the fiery haired figure offered as her name, as she crossed the threshold out of the ship and down the boarding ramp towards the scrap piles that surrounded it. Her lips pursing as she contemplated whether there were any other aliases that she had been given, yet unlike the buzz droid, none of the nicknames she had been given ever seemed to stick owing to her constantly being on the move. "Though mostly just get called Eisa, no nicknames seem to stick" she added, before teasing the brow of her fiery orange hued mohawk out of her eye line. "Never really stay in the same place all that much, since getting the Rim Hopper" Eisa continued with a slight sigh as she gestured towards her ship. "There's soo much of the 'verse to explore" she concluded with a slight chuckle, as they walked deeper into the mountains of scrap.

Her bright emerald hued gaze panning over the various outcroppings and piles of scrap, looking for something that in the faintest resembled an engine that would be compatible. A light chuckle passing her lips as she caught sight of her reflection in part of a transparisteel view port. The sight of her with the small buzz droid perched upon her shoulder, looked almost reminiscent of the cliche swashbuckling space pirate cartoon characters from the old children stories. Shaking off her moment of childishness, Eisa continued to scour her gaze over the endless see of scrap and junk. Her eyes narrowing at the sight of what looked like the rear half of an old freighter, coming to a standstill, the fiery haired spacer turned her attention over to Curse as she pointed towards the hulking remains. "Recon there's much point checking that out? Or have you been here already?" she questioned with a light grin, half anticipating that the little droid probably had seen to it that the majority of the workable parts that were scattered over the planet were reduced to shreds.

This Eisa character seemed to think her nickname was some kind of insult, judging from her reaction. And perhaps it was, Curse mused, but she never really thought of it like that. She was a simple droid that thought in straightforward terms. The name accurately described her, so it suited her just fine. Of course she really wouldn't have cared either way if the human chose instead to address her by her manufacturer's designation, just so long as she didn't call her anything silly.

As the conversation turned to exploration the buzz droid became a bit more animated. That was something they seemed to have in common. // I travel a lot too! // She chimed in response. // Well, I don't have a ship, but I've ridden on a bunch of them. And they always take me somewhere new before I break them. // Once again she seemed to show no remorse in her tone when talking about sabotage, if anything she seemed ecstatic about it. // I've been on Lotho Minor for a while now. At first I thought it would be a fun change of pace but now I'm just bored. Most of the stuff I find here is already broken by the time I get to it. Just doesn't have the same appeal as breaking something still functioning... Like your arm! // She tapped one of her feet on the cybernetic limb, then paused awkwardly. // I mean... I'm not going to break that because I'm trying to help you right now. But if you ever find a replacement I'd be happy to break this one down into reusable components... // Believing that continuing to talk at this point would be a bad idea Curse decided to remain silent for a time.

As Eisa made her way through the labyrinth of scrap piles Curse moved from one shoulder to the next and then back again, focusing on different heaps and looking for any parts that might be useful to them. When the human pointed out an old downed freighter the Pistoeka turned to look at it for a moment. Seeing some promise she leapt down from her perch on Eisa's shoulder and scuttled forward to investigate the wreck. After inspecting the freighter briefly she buzzed in discontentment and reached out with her pincer arm, grabbing a piece of the rusted hull and prying it off with only a small amount of effort.

// No good, // She explained as she turned around to face Eisa again. // It's too corroded see? A lot of the scrap here suffers from that problem. It's the acid rain. // It was a real problem for Curse too. More than once she had been forced to run for cover after being caught out in a sudden rainstorm. She hummed to herself as she thought for a few moments before perking up with an idea. // We could visit one of the Junker tribes. They like to salvage materials and they keep the things they find in fairly good condition. They're very territorial but not too bright. We might be able to steal the things we need from them. // Curse made the suggestion as if there was nothing wrong with it at all. Of course the last and only master she could recall was a criminal himself so it didn't seem too out of the ordinary for her.

A light grin crossed the fiery haired womans lips as the little buzz droid commented about wanting to dissect and strip down her cybernetic arms, putting in the offer and of course the clarification that should she find a replacement for the yellow plated appendage. "Think you'll be waiting a while for this arm to come off bud" She chuckled. as she subconsciously rolled her cybernetic wrist in response to her talking about her artificial limb. "Had this arm for a good six or so years now, was kriffing agony getting it surgically implanted after my real arm got blown to pieces" she added as she turned her gaze to look towards Curse through the corner of her eyes.

"Ain't going through all that again any time soon....willingly, nu uh" she continued, shaking her head in an air of playful defiance - yet despite all the facade, there was an underlying truth to her words, a moment that during the then Jedi Padawan's life that she had suffered pain beyond what she could ever imagine possible. Not from her wounds in the wake of the explosion but from the surgery that followed afterwards, being conscious and barely able to feel any effect of the pain sedatives due to her training as Jedi to suppress and resist any and all toxins entering her body - it was certainly an experience that she would rather not repeat.

Following a few steps behind as Curse hopped down from her arm and scampered off to closely examine the hulk of the freighter that was protruding from the mounds of scrap, her brow furrowing as she let out a sight resigned sigh as the buzz droid offered its's appraisal of the hull's condition, badly corroded and of no use to anybody other than the wamp rats that probably would find somewhere to make a nest.

Yet it seemed that potentially not all hope was lost, as Curse suggested visiting one of the local Junker tribes, the suggestion making the fiery haired human purse her lips in thought as she mulled it over - secretly hoping to herself that whomever these Junkers were, they sure as kriff weren't Jawa's. The stench that came of those guys was enough to make a rancor feel uneasy. A light shrug rolled on her shoulders as she realised that there wasn't much choice - either they could go and barter with a chance of getting something that would more than likely work, or they could continue to sift through the corroded junk in the vain hope of finding something of use.

"Sounds like a better plan" Eisa responded to the suggestion as she closed her eyes to reach out in the Force to try and get a bead on where the nearby concentration of sentient life was, just enough so that she could head off in the right direction. She could sense a small cluster of life forms off towards the north from where they were. "Guessing they're over that way" she added as she gestured in the general direction of where she had sensed the village, before taking a few steps along the path towards the village, offering out her arm once again for Curse to scamper back up and perch upon her shoulders.

Figuring there was still a bit of time until they would reach the Junker's settlement, Eisa looked over towards Curse once again as her mind retraced over their earlier conversation, and the revelation that the droid had been bored out of its programming trying to find something to break on a world full of scrap. "Have you ever tried doing the opposite of breaking stuff?" Eisa enquired as her emerald gaze locked with the crimson photo receptors of the current companion. "Not like carrying out repairs..." she continued before pausing for a moment in thought, chewing over her lips as she took in the endless mountains of junk that surrounded them. "But making something? Mean this place must be a literal coaxium mine of parts, reckon theres enough to build a semi working star destroyer burried under all this..." the fire hair continued added as she gestured to the endless sea of parts and plate metal that dominated their surroundings. "You could make something work again, then if you wanted you can trash it an start all over" Eisa concluded with a light chuckle.

Curse hadn't exactly expected Eisa to be keen to lose her cybernetic arm, but the human's revelation intrigued her. It was very likely that her prosthetic would have been received unwillingly as repair for extensive damage. Few organics willingly parted with their natural parts. But to have it blown off? Was she perhaps a soldier of some sort? The Pistoeka made a note to ask later.

She was again surprised when Eisa immediately pointed out the direction to the nearest Junker settlement. Curse had expected she would need to lead the way, but this human seemed remarkably insightful. The more time she spent in the red haired human's presence the less interest she had in fleeing. And given the spacer's generally forgiving attitude she no longer felt there was much danger in hanging around her.

This time she made no hesitation when Eisa offered her arm, hopping onto the robotic appendage and crawling back onto the human's shoulder for the ride. She had to admit this was much more pleasant then scampering about through the sea of refuse that surrounded them. As the human spoke about the possibility of building her own things to destroy the buzz droid tilted her head curiously. // I hadn't considered that... // She beeped thoughtfully. // I suppose it's possible, I have the schematics of several thousand models of starship and other machines stored. I could easily construct them if I had the parts and time. My programming doesn't include the type of creative thinking that would be needed to assemble my own original creations though... // Perhaps that was a restriction placed on her droid intelligence rather than a shortcoming of her model, but to suggest as much might encourage Eisa to attempt to reprogram her. Even if that would be to remove restrictions on her AI rather than give her more Curse didn't trust the human that much yet. Still, the spacer's suggestion peaked her interest.

As the duo crested a hill of scrap they were met with the image of a Junker encampment below. The buildings were a mishmash of destroyed vessels with sheets of metal bolted on to cover up holes, and several large acid-resistant tarps had been raised under which piles of scrap were being collected and cataloged. Curse counted thirty-eight Junkers visible, with likely more out of sight range, inside their domiciles, or out scavenging. The populace was currently going about their daily business, and didn't seem to have noticed them yet. // Quick, take cover! // Curse urged her companion, tugging on Eisa's ear with one of her pincers and pointing towards the wing of a destroyed starfighter leaning against a metal heap nearby. // Junkers are not friendly. They might attack if they see us! //

Pursing her lips in thought as the droid spoke out about having a world of knowledge about ships buried within the data banks and subroutines within her memory core, but without the ability to formulate or create her own originals. The fiery haired human cast a curious look at the droid, her emerald eyes panning over the three crimson photoreceptors. "I reckon you've got the capability" Eisa spoke out cheerfully as she patted the droid's shell with her other hand. "Just need to think beyond the blueprints" she added with a light chuckle as she brought her hand down a little before pointing towards a rather corroded looking husk of an X-wing. "That might fit in the Rim hopper's engine bay, but guessing your blue prints wouldn't say they match right? You just gotta improvise what the missing bit would be to make the two bits connect" she suggested to the droid, whilst figuring that what she was saying would probably not fully compute with the little perched droid - they always took things so literally.

As the unlikely pairing made their way closer to the encampment, the fiery haired spacer found herself being coerced downwards by a sharp pinching tug on her ear lobe. A frown forming on her features as she was about to question what the droid's deal was before the buzz droid explained that the Junker's weren't the friendliest to deal with. Pursing her lips in thought, the human nodded as she turned her attention down towards the camp, her emerald hued eyes narrowing as she scoured all the visible augmented residents as they shuffled back and forth carrying out their day to day business. It seemed that they must of stumbled along one of the larger encampments, well by the human's guess at least, counting more figures that she could have counted from when she was back in the Jedi Order.

Her lips pursed as the thought started to run through her mind, just how were they going to get the parts they needed, if they were going to be hiding from what looked like a swarming nest of junkers - probably not the best of terms to go with but it seemed to fit in the spacer's mind. A light grin curled at the edge of her lips as her mind came to it's conclusion, her gaze moving away from the settlement and over towards the buzz droid. "I'm sure we'll be fine" Eisa commented with a lighthearted laugh, before standing up from her crouched position behind the scrapped fighter craft. "Besides how we gonna get the engine if we're sat here" she added with a light smile, her eyes brightening up as if she'd felt a surge of energy flow through her - that more precisely was the case, having started to channel the Force through her once again.

Stepping out from behind the shell of the fighter, the fiery haired pilot slowly, but very obviously approached the settlement. Her gaze shifting over the movements of the Junkers before eventually falling upon the closest one that appeared to have stopped and looked in their direction. "Oi Oi!" Eisa called out with a wave of her remaining arm. "Who's in charge here, I'm looking to do some trading for a new engine"

Curse looked over to the X-wing as Eisa indicated and focused on it with her photoreceptors, cycling through several filters as she scanned the destroyed vehicle. // You mean make repairs by repurposing other components? // She offered in reply as she looked back to her human companion. // I can do that. So long as I know the pieces are compatible I can improvise a solution. Such repairs wouldn't be ideal, but are possible. What I mean when I say creative thinking is the ability to create something without a blue print. Your freighter has a blue print. That X-wing has a blueprint. They both share pieces that can be used interchangeably. But to construct something that I have not been given the schematics to prior? That I cannot do. //

The Pistoeka was happy Eisa took her advice, taking cover behind the destroyed starfighter to avoid being spotted by the junkers. But while the buzz droid was still trying to formulate a plan of approach a grin crossed the human's face, and she insisted that they would be fine. Fine? No, they most certainly would not be. Curse was sure of that much. She did have a point though. When Curse had visited places like these in the past it was always to steal much smaller pieces of machinery. To steal an entire engine? That would be much more difficult. But before she could discuss this with her Eisa brightened up as though they were in no danger at all and started walking right into the settlement.

// Wait! Wait! // Curse pleaded, trying to stop the human by tugging on her shirt and leaning back towards the wreck they had been hiding by. // Bad plan! Chances of success low! Very low! 4.6%! // The human ignored her, instead opting to foolishly wave her free arm and draw the attention of the junkers to herself. As the heads turned in their direction Curse quickly clambered onto Eisa's back to hide herself from view. // I admit, I should have led with this, but they really don't like me... // Even with the buzz droid currently out of their line of sight the junkers did not accept Eisa warmly. They babbled to each other in their peculiar language before beginning to shout at the human, some waving their sticks in the air threateningly. // Quick use your magnet thing! // Curse suggested. The junkers were heavily cybernetic after all, it could work. // Lift them up or something! //

A light chuckle escaped Eisa's lips, as the truth was finally aired over the little buzz droid's apprehension over dealing with and interacting with the Junkers - the confession that they didn't take like droid, made a slight smile curl at the edge of her lips - to say the least she couldn't say that she was surprised in the revelation, where these Junkers spend every waking moment scavenging and seeking out the elusive pieces of desirable scrap and components. And, to have a sabotage droid then come along to then tear apart what workable items of salvage they had accumulated, it would not be much of a surprise that Curse was as welcome around these Junkers as a Rancor was in a butcher shop.

As she approached deeper into the village, the fiery haired spacer's gaze panned over the various junkers who were chittering away to each other, whilst some of the bolder ones attempted to wave their crudely formed metal staffs at her, in an attempt to ward her back off from venturing any further. Her attention was pulled away from the reactions of the local junkers, by the sudden pleading suggestion from the droid to use her magnet thing... A momentary wash of confusion flashed through her as she tried to figure out what on earth Curse was speaking of, her eyes narrowing slightly before suddenly widening in realisation that the buzz droid was referring to her earlier use of the Force to catch and suspend the little droid in mid air.

"Not gonna lead with that just yet" Eisa spoke out, as she continued to pace towards the centre of the settlement. Her bright emerald hued eyes panning over the various locals, whilst a broad grin was plastered over her features - despite the hostility that was being displayed to the new arrivals, the fiery haired spacer seemed for the best part completely un-phased, still presenting herself with an cheerful and pleasant demeanour. All the while the Force was flowing through her reaching out and sensing the intents of the residents. "I'm looking for an engine suitable for a VCX 100 Freighter" the spacer continued as she held her arms out to the side, more as a show that she was unarmed, but to a lesser extent to display that she was also inviting them to at least attempt to barter. "If ya got one, I've some creds, power relays and converters for trades" she added as her attention shifted over towards her side to regard one of the more bolder of the junkers who was levelling his metal shaft at her. "Ya do know, the sooner you let me know if you have one or not, the sooner i'm out of your hair" she spoke as she swatted the end of the metal staff away from her with her cybernetic arm.

It wasn't even entirely clear if the Junkers understood Basic. If they did, Eisa's diplomatic attitude certainly wasn't effecting them. They just seemed to get angrier and angrier the further she wandered into their camp. As she swatted one of the staffs away there was a collective outcry from the figures gathering around her. They didn't like that.

For her part Curse was rattling with fear, photreceptors looking left and right as she tried to remain small and unnoticeable on the human's back. Running through possible scenarios in her brain none of them were turning out good. Given Eisa's confidence she assumed there could be variables she was unaware of, a greater combat effectiveness than she estimated. But even her projections most favorable to the human's abilities saw them inevitably being dismantled. Curse didn't want that, she was starting to like the human. But if she wouldn't see reason Curse would leave her without missing a beat. She had no intention of being scrapped today.

Then one of the Junkers took notice of the little buzz droid, and everything immediately became a thousand times worse. He pointed at the Pistoeka clinging to Eisa's back and let out a furious screech. Instantly the Junkers around them became enraged, and several of them rushed forward to attack the human with their metal staves. Curse cheeped in fear and pulled the halves of her shell casing together as one of the Junkers swatted her right off Eisa's back. The buzz droid bounced off the ground like a ball before popping out again and hissing angrily. She scurried forward with alarming speed, spinning up her circular saw. As another Junker stood over her and tried to hit her she evaded his blow and went between his cybernetic legs, cutting halfway through one of his ankles as she went. The Junker cried out in surprise and collapsed to the ground.

The buzz droid disappeared into one of the tents, gone from the view of both the Junkers and Eisa. With the Pistoeka nowhere to be seen all of the Junkers turned their attention to the human.

"Well Kriffsticks" Eisa cussed, this was not how she hand wanted things to pan out. Despite wanting to try and peacefully barter with the the Junkers for a replacement engine, the hostility being shown towards the new arrivals only seemed to boil over, as soon as the fiery haired spacer swatted the metal stave away from being pointed at her. Seemingly it turns out that not wanting to have pointy sharp metal objects being pointed at her was looked down upon by these Junkers, as even though she was unarmed had remained for the best part cheerful and passive they still opted to attack - yet it seemed that the droid that had been hiding on her back had by her presence alone enraged the augmented denizens of the settlement even further.

As a group of Junkers rushed towards her, brandishing their staves at her, the fiery haired spacer reluctantly sighed, the Jedi part of her upbringing had taught her to avoid resorting to violence, but yet these masked and hooded creatures were instant of fighting. As the nearest of the group lunged forwards driving the stave up towards her chest, the fiery haired spacer's body arched to the side, avoiding the stabbing motion, her right arm reaching out to grab and snatch onto the metal shaft before her cybernetic hand swung down to apply a sudden jolt of downwards force to wrest the stave out of the junker's grasp.

With the improvised metal weapon now in her possession, the fiery haired spacer twirled the staff around her with an unexpected air of proficiency, whilst in part to try and deter the junkers from their continuing attacks, but mostly so she could get a feel for the balance and weight of her newly acquired weapon. With a sudden burst of movement Eisa sidestepped the following lunges with a degree of force enhanced speed, the only confirmation that the Junker's attacks had missed her was from the metallic clang as the former Jedi swung her staff down to parry and deflect the attacking staves, driving the junker's off balance before her staff spun round and crashed into the sides of the off balanced junkers, sending them barrelling down onto the ground with a full thud.

"This doesn't need to resort in violence" Eisa spoke out, after she had rendered the initial attackers unconscious. "Lets us barter for the Engine, and we'll leave in peace" she added, her tone moving away from the cheerful air she had earlier presented herself with, veering towards a stern and authoritative tone - defaulting back to her Jedi training, seeing that despite her display of holding her own against her aggressors she would still seek to deter them from their continued attacks. Yet the sudden disappearance and scampering off of the little Buzz droid had seemed only to infuriate the Junkers, now that presumably the Sabotage droid was now loose in their camp, and it was the fiery haired human's fault!

Another four junkers rushed towards her, brandishing staves like the others before - but with the added exception of sparking electric barbs at the end. Sighing in resignation Eisa shook her head and shifted the staff over into her cybernetic hand's grasp. Freeing up her natural hand to allow for her to channel and manipulate the Force, with a sudden thrust of her hand the fiery haired spacer projected a shock wave of force energy into the path of the attacking Junker's knocking them clean off their feet and sending them tumbling backwards. Eisa's bright emerald hued eyes narrowed as she honed her stance into a firm defensive position, as her attention focused on the Junkers who were now suddenly at unease with the stranger's capabilities following the latest of their warriors being seemingly thrown backwards like rag dolls with only but a gesture - some of the least bold of the settlement were now starting to visibly back off from her.

Curse had expected to hear the unfortunate sound of her short-lived companion being beaten to a pulp by the angry Junkers, but instead her audiosensor picked up on something entirely different. Curious, the droid cautiously crawled forward and peaked out into the open from within the tent where she was hiding. She was completely astonished by what she witnessed. The human was utterly demolishing her opponents, taking down multiple enemies with frightening ease.

She focused her photoreceptors in on the organic, flipping through every one of her filters as she tried to compute how the human was accomplishing all this. Surely the few cybernetics she possessed couldn't be heightening her combat ability this much? Curse thought back to her earlier suspicion that Eisa may have once been a soldier, but even that seemed like it wouldn't be enough to survive against such overwhelming numbers. What was it about this human that allowed her to do what she was doing? It was intriguing. There was a pause in the combat and Eisa tried again, futilely, to dissuade her attackers. More came at her with electrified weapons, but this time she simply held out her hands and released some kind of invisible shockwave that threw all of them to the ground.

Curse's crimson photoreceptors zoomed in on the fiery haired human. // Incredible... // She mused in a soft whir. That was no magnet. The organic carried some kind of weapon with her the buzz droid had never witnessed before. There was another pause in the action. The Junkers were losing their confidence, they seemed to recognize the human's prowess as well. But they still greatly outnumbered her. More slowly started to circle and close in on her, and hanging back further in the crowd Curse identified several individuals that were arming themselves with blasters.

It was not a requirement of her programming to go out of her way to help Eisa, but Curse couldn't help but feel a desire to assist the human. She justified it to herself that she needed to analyze the spacer's cybernetics to find out what this weapon she wielded was, and such analysis would be more conclusive with the subject intact. Turning around the little buzz droid hastily began scampering about the tent, looking for something she might be able to use to help. Finally she ran into some kind of vehicle. Turning her head upwards she cycled through a few filters as she analyzed the machine. // This will do... // She chirped in satisfaction, and got to work.

Well it looked as if they weren't going to attempt to rush her with their improvised weapons any time soon, from what she could visually observe from the Junker's movements was that they were now in the process of switching away from mele to ranged attacks. Internally the fiery haired spacer cussed her present situation, as capable as she was at fending off incoming blaster fire, through her years of training as a Jedi she had learned to intercept and deflect blaster bolts - yet without her lightsaber it was going to be a hard task to deal with the incoming blaster fire from the rifles that the Junker's were now levelling at her.

Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, Eisa reached her mind out into the Force. "Remember your training Eisa.... Remember Master Har would bitch at you no end if she hears that you got shot" the red head spoke out, mostly to her self - to some degree it was self encouragement, but it was mostly for her to focus and recenter herself so that she could feel and not think.

Lowering the staff off to the side, as she adjusted her body into the starting stance of Form three, the spacer took another deep breath as she read the currents of the force that flowed around her. Her bright emerald eyes snapping open the split instant as the first of the blaster volleys rained down upon her. With a blur of motion Eisa and spun on her heels, the staff following her movements with fluidic grace as one end would rise up to intercept one blaster bolt, before the metal rod would spin round for the other to connect with and intercept the next.

Her training for the best part was paying off, she had managed to form an effective defence against's the junker's attacks - however what was lacking was the effectiveness of her current weapon. With each intercepted blast of burning plasma, a portion of her staff would be reduced to molten slag. Easing herself backwards, the fiery haired spacer grew some distance between herself and the junker's figuring that the further the range the less reliable their shot and potentially the easier it would be to dodge their shots without having to intercept them with her gradually reducing defence.
