Location: Mimban | Tags: Open / PvP / Death-Disabled

Fog lay thick upon the flourishing bog of a landscape. Among the cluster of large imposing trees were clearings with a sparse allowance of space. Above the thickened canopy, metal wings pierce its green exterior. Branches bellow the initial brush, bare from light deprivation, break easily from the sudden forced entry. The aforementioned fog parted reluctantly as the celestial vessel begins to land. Air from exhaust cleared not only humid clouds but creatures both large and small from its vicinity. The ship's underside opens to reveal gear ill-made to stand upon Mimban's terrain. Gooey muck sucks a meter's worth of length into dark brown earth. Slowly, it would rest with just enough space for the rear to open and allow its occupants to comfortably exit. Two figures emerge, obscured by the ever persistent marsh fog; eager to envelope the environment. Among the calm creaking sounds of small alien birds spurts a flamboyant robotic voice. "Ma'am, I suggest you leave your cloak with me. Your coat tails may get muddied and I perish at the thought of my mistress looking like a tarnished peasant." There, at the end of his statement, he adds in a cold whisper. "Plus you'd make me clean it." Silver hair matched by pale ivory skin mixes with the misty air as the second figure reveals itself. Piercing golden eyes stare angrily into distant space. They disrobe and present their cloak by exaggeratedly throwing it into the marshland. "Correct as always H." The sarcastic inflection making her direct intention clear.

Ilphy'Mia found herself landing upon this unsettling planet by the breath of a ghost which left two pieces of information: Coordinates and the name Toka Givolt. Those slightly obscure yet somehow direct details caused misty columns to cloud the corner of her eyes. She stared at the distance in a disassociated haze. Suddenly snapping back as a peculiar feint sound echoed through the dense swamp. Metal whirring, clicking, and distressing. Oddly followed by the scurrying of small mammalian creatures fleeing in haste. Louder and louder; closer and closer; till it stopped. Large silhouettes filled the edge of their landing zone. Their red glowing eyes penetrating the fog. "Identify or die." Demanded the heavily raspy mechanical intruder. Mia identified the origins almost immediately. "Pre-Empire battle droids?" She ejaculated. "Incorrect, you are organic. Prepare to be eliminated." The voice replied.

The Small Freighter dropped of hyperspeed, its metallic body pulled from a bright blue light "Acolyte, we have arrived at the Circarpous System, currently heading towards the Planet Mimban as instructed" the piloting droids ocular visor was fixed on the expansive void while it autonomously directed the Ship in the correct trajectory. The RT-Series pilot droid, nicknamed Artemis, searched the public database for a port of call, or a listed landing pad but experienced an error "Acolyte, I am unable to find suitable landing for 'The Krataa' to dock. All hails to the surface have failed a response. I will raise the comms and attempt contact when we are closer to Planetfall"

The L4-Series protocol droid, nicknamed Alphonse, was once again preparing the Acolytes gear, ensuring he had the correct equipment for the Planets terrain and climate. It mechanically walked towards the Ships computer located in the large single bay behind the cockpit, searching the Databanks. As it glanced the information provided its witty voice box began its line of dialogue "Little Captain" its addresses were often informal and it enjoyed dangling along a metaphorical tightrope as it continued to express it programmed insults and remarks. Despite its rude remarks, which puzzled the Acolyte to its effectiveness as a Protocol droid, Iruuk did not fault the machine. It simply followed its programming "According to the Galactic Directory the Planet Mimban is currently inhabited by the Mimbanese. I will forward all information to your personal comm. I recommend you read it this time, least we experience another incident like Kashyyk."

It was a ritual he performed every time he approached a Planet. His reptilian eyes hid behind the thin membrane which act as the species eyelids while he slid his ivory bone mask over his bat like face, slowly sliding into the attire provided by his L-4 droid. On this occasion he was provided with a light attire that covered him from wrist to ankles with a hooded poncho which supposedly protected his torso from the wet climate present. Once he was fully clothed he strapped the sheath of his weapon on the back of his waist before sliding its obsidian blade down its leather holster, completing his practiced ceremony with the application of his native headdress.

His amber eyes peered from behind its fleshy cover, his gaze fixed on Artemis the RT Pilot Droid. His voice carried a heavy Khaleesh accent but his Galactic Basic was easy enough to understand "Artemis. Scan the surface for a suitable dock and keep an eye out on all incoming transmissions. If we are contacted by docking authorities when we land I want you to hail me immediately. I want to be off this Planet before our presence is noticed." The Light Freighter began to enter the Planets atmosphere, the bottom of its hull heating to overwhelming temperatures causing the durasteel to glow on entry.

Harmful intent was an understatement as the hostile droids fired a relentless barrage of fiery red lasers. Mia widen her eyes in shock, just barely dodging the first blast. She bent backwards and twisted herself with one hand to twist herself around. Each shot close to its mark. One stray bolt grazed just under her arm but only enough to sing and cauterize. Panicked sounds resounded as H tried retreating back into the ship. Energy surged around from Mia then released in a power burst of speed. With servant droid in the way, both shot into cover within. Alone, taking down a few droids wasn't exactly straight-forward. With the unholy amount of fog surrounding them, this became a slight challenge. "Head to the cockpit and engage the first stag of life off. That should clear their cover. Then try to reach out over com. See if there's a better place to take this ship" She held herself up against a corner of the hull next to the exit. He eyes scanning what she could see. The pounding over her heart sending slight vibrations out. Being trapped made her anxious and angry.

Bellow came the slight buzzing sound as the start of the launch sequence began. The power from the thrusters weren't enough to raise them but did clear the mist out. Now exposed, the assailants. B1 battle droids caked in years of muck from muddy swampland. Moss grew across their metal exterior. Whatever wasn't covered shown rusted metal. They slowly started approaching closer and closer to their vessel. Mia peaked out from around the edge to count them. Three making slow strides towards the rear and two supporting five from the ridge.

Upon her face shown a most wicked grin. Strands of Mia's hair began to float and twirl in defiance of gravity as the corrupted force surrounded her muscles. Familiar crackling sounds sizzled as the blinding red light of her saber ignited in hand. Almost simultaneously, she pushed off her left foot. Rocketing out with intense speed, she aimed for a tree. With their shots slowing their aim, she has enough time to jump from there. She wrapped her legs around the first droid. Using her centrifugal force from the movements, the droid turned to fire on his allies whom in turn fired up it.

H set the communicator for a mid range signal. "This is the Grand Ethos at Longitude 65.658275 and Latitude 19.415280. Are there any nearby-" The link cut out as a stray bolt from behind him shot the circuit board. "Oh shoot..." He said in defeat.

The Pilot droid received an incoming message, one that originated from the Planets surface. Its head spun around in a full 180, its ocular sensors staring directly at Iruuk who was getting prepared for Planetfall "Acolyte. Incoming transmission. Redirecting to the onboard computer." Immediately the Khaleesh turned his attention firstly towards Artemis, then towards the computer port located in his makeshift dormitory. In frustration he growled beneath his mask "Are we being hailed from port authorities?" he was denied an answer as the pilot droid turned its attention to the console in the cockpit. Annoyed he paced towards the comm unit and activated the transmission.

oie-jpg-1.png
Alphonse, the L-4 Series Protocol droid, heard the message as it was being played by the Acolyte. As always it was quick to input its thoughts, its artificial voice echoing throughout the enclosed Hull "Little Captain, if I may. Just ignore the plea and go about your business yeah?" without looking at the droid Iruuk spoke so both L4 and RT heard his line of inquiry "Is it one of ours?" the Pilot beeped in confirmation, the bipedal droid immediately voicing his protest "We didn't travel half a bloody Galaxy just to help someone with a flat hyperdrive engine. YOU have work to do Master Iruuk." Alphonse was right. And when he called him 'Master Iruuk' instead of 'Little Captain' or 'Big Red' he knew the droid spoke wisdom. Regardless there was a whisper the Force that could not be ignored. Rather it refused to be unheard.

The Acolyte hunched over the comm unit, the transmission looped in repeat as its message and coordinates replayed. Alphonse was right, he came to this system for another purpose but the insistent feeling in his stomach swayed him from his path. His heavily accented Galactic Basic confirmed his intention Artemis. Disregard my prior order. Enter coordinates Longitude 65.658275 and Latitude 19.415280. Hail the Grand Ethos. See if you can get a response. The pilot recalculated its trajectory and programmed in its new course causing the Light Freighter to shift its great weight in another direction. Iruuk paced towards the cockpit, taking a seat in the co pilots chair and assisting in RT's duties. Not that it needed it.

As they closed in on the coordinated the Protocol droid peeked down from the cockpits viewing port, once again voicing his objection. But it was Artemis that spotted another ship being fired upon and quickly Iruuk sprung to the transparisteel window. He could see bolts of energy flying across the field and the familiar sight of a crimson blade flailing around. The Acolyte stood immediately and made his way towards the docking ramp "RT, disengage all safeties associated with the loading bay and fly low. When I depart I want you to find suitable landing. I will contact you when this is concluded." Before the Protocol droid could object once again the docking ramp lowered and the pressurized air escaped the Hull, conflicting with the outside atmosphere and filling the Hull with a loud whine. Once he felt he was at a safe enough height he leapt from the ship, his blade being rapidly pulled from its sheath. His descent had been guided by the Force, an intuition he regularly followed. It told him to jump, it prompted him to unholster his blade and in its guidance it had placed him directly above a B1 Battle droid. His Sword screamed as it was held in its owners hands, eager to rent the flesh of those that opposed its will.

The Sith Acolyte slashed down, his own weapon cleaving through the droids arm before slamming into the ground below. If he hadn't used the Force to cushion his fall he would surely have perished.

Carbonized chunks of charred wood smelt pleasant amidst the chaos. Lights of bloodied intent continued shooting mindlessly. Their intended target cleverly barricading themselves behind another. Remorseless, in gratifying endeavor, they continued firing. Mia released her grip, summoning the ethereal strength in her legs. Kicking the darkened steel figure into its allies. Grounded by the strong encumbering force, the two fell. There bodies fell back, dented horribly but still functional. Before the could struggle back to an aggressive stance, Mia leapt forward, skewering their heads with her saber. Something pleasant but lacking the full gratification. Extinguishing the red light into a dimmed glaze was equivalent to turning off a misbehaving computer. Still she licked her lips in remembrance of true ecstasy found only when ones life is being risked. knowing the forfeiture is still quiet possible. Her lips wet as she anticipated such a true release upon someone who's life wasn't built upon an amalgamation of servos and circuit boards.

Distracted by those fond fantasies came a fleeting sense of realism. Across the hill, just a few strides, were three other droids with blaster arms fitted upon her. However, it formed into a tormenting smile upon as something dark ebbed into the fray. Another vessel hovered above and from behind came a curious Kaleesh with a sinful looking mask. Mia didn't recognize him or the equally thought provoking novel sword which sheered metal from bolted chassis. The stranger covered their face like those whom carried the title of "Darth". Feeling the force surrounding him, she understood that it may be something of a ceremonial element to his attire. She smirked in a disappointing tongue in cheek expression. Sucking her teeth with a disappointed sigh. Ilphy had passed the level of acolyte but needed someone to mentor her in tutelage. Still she nodded approvingly as he flexed his skills. Exactly at the moment she disengaged her sword in approval, something descended from above. Their white eyes and skillful movements meant they were commando droids.

Before she could throw herself back into the fight, a shadowy figure cut threw the mist. Two expertly placed shots hit the droids. They turned for a moment then seized up. Electricity surged through their bodies. Paralyzed by the sudden shock to their system. Two slug shots fired from the iron on his hip, rendering them immobilized and defeated. He wore a simple respirator which lifted to reveal his aged expression. The man appeared to be in his late forties, early fifties. "What are you doing here! It doesn't take a karking genius to figure out that this isn't a place for a vessel to land." He awaited the response of the Kaleesh and depending, would offer a secluded place for them to land there vehicles. If the Kaleesh agreed, he hitch a ride with Mia and take them west.

There they would find an area covered in stone on the edge of the swamp. The landing zone would appeal to both vessels as a raised section of metal made it possible for the freighter to make birth. However, Mia would have to choose a spot on the hardened concrete like ground near to the zone. Once they exited, he would ask them individually what made them decide here of all places while inviting them into his hovel for a drink.

His blade cleaved through the durasteel chassis of the B1 battle droid and with along with the other they were able to dispatch their aggressors. The Acolyte stood fully erect with obsidian blade still in hand, his reptilian eyes scouring the fogged landscape for signs of reinforcement. For the moment he could detect nothing and followed her suit in retracting her weapon, his own smoothly sliding back in its sheath. It was almost as if the tide had turned against them as more advanced droids dropped within the fog of war, and both were at the disadvantage of having withdrawn their weapons. Despite his handicap Iruuk summoned the Force within him, extending his arm out with the intention of unleashing a telekinetic push which would hopefully throw the droids off balance.

His efforts were unneeded as two well placed bolts of energy flew from the mist, each one hitting true as the aged commando droids began to fall under their own weight. The Acolyte determined the rounds of ion as he noted the surge of electricity course through the artificial bipedals. He focused to see a silhouette emerging from the shadows but the Force failed to urge him to warning, instead a sense of ease fell over him. Iruuk slid his hand off the handle of his sword and his ears attuned to the hoarse voice of the aging humanoid. His rebuke was harsh, but not unwarranted and he was correct. This was no place to land a ship of that size. Iruuk agreed to follow Mia and lifted the comlink to his mask "Artemis. Bring the shuttle to these co-ordinates. We've been given suitable docking."

Upon landing they were invited into the small hovel to partake in a beverage. Not wanting to offend their savior Iruuk gratefully took a seat and a cup, sitting down on the raised stool. As per his custom he pulled the mask off his face which revealed his races bat like appearances. He also pulled his tied hood down, long raven platted locks drooping to his shoulders. His skin was as red as velvet and the tusks which protruded from his face were small, though still growing. This signified youth within his species, placing him no older than twenty standard years. In response to the mains inquiry he answered, his reptilian accent only just understandable as it butchered the Galactic Basic "Business. But a distress signal bought me to her-" his eyes scanned Mia. He could feel a familiar presence in the Force and the crimson blade she wielded temporarily in combat confirmed his suspicions. The newly established Sith Order had quite a following, and there was no real uniform or insignia within the temples hierarchy to declare individuals alignments. But a red lightsaber was a dead giveaway. It'd been awhile since he'd seen a member of the Order outside the Temple on Sullust.
